Hi beautiful souls! Thank you so much for being here and for your wonderful comments - I truly appreciate them ❤️ I try to read and answer as many as possible, and know that I’m just so thankful that you take from your valuable time to do so ❤️ Love & light!
I'm nearly 70. I have autonomic dysfunction. I have peripheral neuropathy all over my body so I'm quite familiar with that "pins and needles" pain. Pain relief is elusive. My neurologist has started yet another medication to try for nerve pain. I'm so happy to have found your channel.,,😚❤
Hello Erin, I’m Giny and I wanted to share a story with you. One Year ago I had my right knee replaced. I’m almost 72 and I’ve been given a second chance at walking again. For the surgery, I had to get a spinal block. I felt the needle go in the back and that was the last thing I remember. I woke up still in the OR, it was very noisy and I was trying to free my hands to scratch my nose. After a while I realized I could not feel from the waist down. Needless to say I freaked out! The sweet nurse came over and told me,don’t you remember you had a spinal block. All I kept saying is, I can’t move! I felt nothing from the chest down. It took about hour to give me back feeling. During that time they found a bed and moved me over, by sliding me. It was a horrible feeling. You seem to be handling this with such grace and acceptance I admire you. I am so looking forward to see how you deal with you life now. You are one beautiful gal, even lying on your side. Thank you for letting us in your life.
Bless you Giny and your sweet soul 🥹❤️ I am so happy for you that you got a 2nd chance! It will always be a shock when your body stops responding, and I am thankful for everything my body has survived - it’s a marvelous creation 💖
@@bloochoob You know what, I was referring to GinnyBrown comparing her very temporary spinal blocker but you are right actually, why be negative when everyone are struggling in various degrees and who am I to judge how people express appreciation and moral support. Thanks.
I am a full time carer for my son and I have been struggling recently and have been feeling overwhelmed. Your vlogs have filled me with strength. You are a wonderful girl and a real credit to your family x
I'm so glad that they did and know that it’s okay to feel exhausted and overwhelmed - of course I wish you didn’t have to, like I feel for my mom and husband, but it’s so natural. I hope you have someone you can lean on and something that allows you to rest and breathe in between - because you truly deserve it 🤍✨💛
Hi. I’m Kelly, 62, and feel like I’ve gained a daughter/friend listening to you. You are so strong, honest, and well adapted to your situation. If you are having a bad day, feel free to vent, cry, scream, swear, etc. we will love you always and forever regardless if you’re a “good girl” or having a meltdown.
Darling girl, i was mesmerized by your videos today, Especially by the one where you describe your accident. Everything you said so touching. It’s clear to me that God is using you And you are a beautiful vessel. It’s wonderful that to hear that things are changing and looking up every day. I’m looking forward to seeing your new videos. ❤❤❤❤
You are such an old soul and my new inspiration! Glad I found you last night while I had insomnia and couldn’t go back to sleep. Your angelic voice and spirit soothed my anxious voice. I woke up with my phone near my heart this morning and with you still on my screen. Have a beautiful day and many blessings to you.
Oh my goodness me Eirin……for whatever reason your accident story popped up on my feed which I’ve just watched, all i can say is WOW….what an absolute inspiration you are!…I’m struggling to put into words how you made me feel…but all i know is you are the most awesome, beautiful, inspiring, soft spoken, informative, motivational kind hearted person i have ever had the privilege to listen to and watch….you go girl…not everyone would be anywhere near as positive as you are…..you’ve blown me away sweet girl…you really have…I’m sending all the love and anything else you need from little me in the UK xx
Hi beautiful,I am 45 and I have been paralyzed since 4 from a stroke , my life is so blessed and I am a mother of a 16 year old son I am so grateful. You are so inspiring and I love ❤ you and see you grow every day God bless
Thanks for sharing! When did u learn English? How did u meet your husband? Tell us about the healthcare system in Norway. Loving your positive outlook ❤️
First of all, Hello Eirin, my name is Tiffany and I am from East Wenatchee, Washington, USA. I also want to thank for sharing your story. I am a home health nurse and I care for patients (mostly children and young adults) with a variety ailments, many immobile. Much like my patients, I notice you have a beautiful and strong soul, and I appreciate your ability to share your hardships, as well as your strengths. I hope you don’t mind but I shared this video with a couple of my H.H patients. It’s always nice to see others that “look & sound like us”. Learning the new how to dos and a friendly and helpful what not to dos. I have one young man that is also quadriplegic, not by accident, but by a form of muscular dystrophy staring at a very young age. He’s going to love your videos. He loves watching RUclips. Fortunately, through Eye-tracking technology he can still have outside communications, a virtually go on adventures. Much like you he too was also a busy guy, always on the move, loved the outdoors, and playing musical instruments. I am blessed I stumbled across your page/channel. You’re my new “RUclips share of inspiration”. Again, I appreciate your story, and your willingness to share what makes your good days and your not so good days. Kind regards, Tiffany
Aaron, I first watched your other video on how you came to be in the situation. I have watch this video and I think both videos are so fascinating, interesting and educational. I’m so glad you decided to make these videos. I think you are a beautiful person. So talented and incredible educated amazing. For myself, I am a grandmother. I’ve been blind for 15 years. And fortunately for me there’s been so many advances in technology that life is much easier for blind people today than it used to be. Looking forward to your other videos. God bless you Aaron and see you in your next video…gg
Hello ❤️ I feel so blessed by your kind words, and I think you’re a wonderful soul. Thank you for being here. Is there anything I can do to make my channel, content and videos more accessible to you? I too, appreciate the technological advances that makes daily life easier. I love that I get a chance to interact with so many wonderful people - like yourself ❤️ Bless you ✨
Hello Eirin, I can only say that the excellent English captioning in your videos makes it much easier for me to understand you. I am a bit hearing impaired and often find it difficult to understand videos without captioning (although I have a good hearing aid). Most times I have to resort to the automatic ones, but yours are excellent. Just like your spirit. Thank you. Perhaps this also helps blind people using the voice function.
I have a coworker who experienced a complete spinal injury in a car accident. Those are the only details I know. Your videos have given me a glimpse into what he might be experiencing and have made me realize how important empathy is in a workspace. You never know what’s going on in people’s life. Thanks for giving me even just a little perspective- I think it will genuinely help me be a better coworker.
Hi Eirin, my name is Sarah… I come from Ireland but live in Ohio USA. I am a caregiver for special needs adults. I’ve done this work for 30 years now. I love to listen and watch ur videos. You are a blessing and encouragement. You are a help to me understand what it feels like being the individual, recipient receiving care. The guys I serve and look after are non verbal. Thank you for sharing. God bless you.
I'm from Canada and came across your videos for the first time tonight. You are such a beautiful soul. Your grace brought me to tears. Ive suffered a lot over the past 10+ yrs. At times my autoimmune disease has left me unable to walk, the nerve damage in my legs and feet is so painful. At one point my face was paralyzed for several months (this made it incredibly hard to eat, I had to tape my eye closed at night). It's hard for people to understand the feeling of body parts not working, no matter how fiercely our brain tried to make it move... Through it all, I have found my way back to God. His promise of Heaven is beautiful. He will wipe away all our tears and there will be no more pain for our bodies will be resorted. That thought has gotten me through many dark days. Keep shining my dear. Your story can reach people in ways you never thought possible. All my love and prayers go out to you tonight xo
Thank you, angel, and likewise 🙏❤️ My heart goes out to you, and I feel for you, having to experience all of these physical and mental challenges. I hope you keep feeling Heavenly Fathers everlasting love for you 🙏 I pray for as many good days and moments as possible, you deserve that and so much more ❤️ I’m so blessed you’re here ✨💖
Eirin I am an occupational therapist I work with ppl in outpatient therapy who have had any number of injuries it’s my favorite thing that I get to do. Thank you for sharing your life
I have Transverse Myelitis and I can still walk with aids. My pain is what really makes me struggle and I hate being on medications. Thank you for sharing your life on your channel.
I find your Life in the Day video inspiring. I have an autoimmune disease that cause me a lot of pain, and weakness, and some days fatigued to the pointing feels like my body is shutting down, and every day can be a struggle, so I can. Not even imagine your struggles. Like you I am sensitive and am an empath, so we have that in common. Even though our struggles look different, they are similar in how it makes our days unpredictable, and hard to make plans, I have lost friends over the years, but like you have a very supportive husband. I do not think it is a coincidence I found your videos, as I have been struggling mentally, and find you inspiring and was praying for the Lord to lift me up, as I felt a bout of depression coming on, you were the answer. Love and Light. 🙏✨❤️
Oh my gosh! You just said what I always say. You have to fill your own cup up first. Whatever that looks like. So you can fill other people's cups and they can go on filling other people's cups! From the first video I came across I was like.... this empath. She's got a message! Love it! Thank you for sharing your story and actively spreading wonderful messages of positivity.
Erin, YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL & HAVE A BEAUTIFUL HEART ❤! I want to thank you! I'm watching your videos for the first time today & I have felt so many different feelings! I am an internal med nurse, have patients & friends similar to you. I also have some personal limitations, but nothing like you. You are teaching & encouraging me so much on how to care for my patients & care for myself! THANK YOU ❤ ! YOU ARE WINNING & HELPING SO MANY! "THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! "
Hello Eirin, my name is Linda I am 70 years old and I found your videos today. I believe God is working through you, you seem to have a gift of communication, and motivation. I have always struggled with communication as I grew up in a dysfunctional home, with yelling and screaming being the only communication going on. However, you gave me the courage to try some things I have wanted to do but was not sure I could. Thank you, you will be in my prayers, and look forward to your next videos. Thank you Jesus for putting Eirin in my day today. Amen.
I’m humbled by your story. I live with chronic back pain (the result of 8 major back surgeries) and sometimes feel like I just can’t get through another day. I was just reading back in my journal at 2014 entry and I said, “I’m in so much pain, I keep hoping that I can learn how to deal with it better!” I laughed out loud and thought, “Vicki, it’s been 9 years and girl, you’re still not dealing any better with this pain!” I felt impressed today to watch your video about your accident. Like I said from the start….I am truly humbled by you and your ability to deal everyday with excruciating pain. You are one special person! Much Love to you my Friend❤️🌸r
Hi Eirin,. My name is Diane and I live in Kentucky in the states. (I'm also a 5ft 10 redhead like you!) The Lord brought your channel to me last night, and I am very grateful...to Him and to You. I have subscribed and liked every video, and will tell my friends about you. You are so beautiful! Your English is flawless! You will hit 100K subscribers in no time because of your intelligence and positivity. 💛
Sweet Soul Eirin, I was so glad to see that you've released another video... and that you are planning a library of videos. Truly a labor of love and a blessing for those with whom you will share your life experiences. You speak of many thoughtful, deep and positive things and I know that you will find a much larger audience. I wish for you quick healing and many beautiful days to come.
Eirin, I don't know how I came across your channel, but I'm so glad that I did. I am working towards finishing my degree in Social Work, and I hope to be an advocate for people with disabilities. I feel that it's so important and that it could be easier for society to pretend that there is not a community of people like yourself that needs support. Sometimes it's hard to see people in situations that we would deem impossible to deal with. You have most definitely shown us that you are not only managing these difficulties, but you are LIVING YOUR LIFE! And your life is amazing and your life is worth so, so much. I hope you continue to make these videos because I'm sure there is many people out there struggling to see how they can live their life after such a traumatic accident. God bless you for all you're doing.
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words! ❤️ I really appreciate that you’re dedicating your precious time to be a voice for those who can’t always advocate for themselves 🙏🥹 I’m so happy you’re here!
That's really nice your husband can be your carer too. My husband 6is disabiled and I can't be his paid carer because we are married. So we struggle with that as it would be easier if we could. I'm very encouraged by your videos, I just started watching but I wish you all the best from USA!
Dear Eirine… I have just started watching your videos. I want you to know that I find you to be a true inspiration. And you are eloquent beyond words. I have been a caregiver for my parents (Mama passed from Alzheimer’s almost 3 years ago) for 6 years. Papa is now 94. I am also an empath. I refer to it as my chronic empathy. The first video I watched of yours, you referred to empaths… it really spoke to me. You have the ability to describe things so perfectly; you paint pictures with your words. I tell you this, because I can see myself (one day) becoming an assistant… Being someone’s hands and feet. I will continue to watch and learn from you. I thank you for taking the time, energy and heart to post these gems. Thank you. Kimberly (my friends call me Pearl)
I love how you just started making videos after knowing you would be bedridden and NOT waiting for life to be in the best of times. I look forward to watching your journey. Thank you for sharing your positive energy and starting exactly “where you are”… nice reminder for all of us ❤ I love this community you’re creating. ❤ keep spreading gratitude and kindness.
Dearest Eirin, I am so sorry for your accident. I too am an endurance swimmer. Your story of heroism brought me to tears. God has given you insight to give you strength. Your beauty and fortitude come through when you speak. May you continue to be strong. My sincerest prayers and hugs to you, your mother, grandmother and all your loving friends. You my dear are an inspiration to show that in the darkest of moments, there is always guiding light to show you the way. May God bless each day. I will keep you in my prayers! Barbara New Orleans, Louisiana USA
Your outlook and a pure heart are beautiful and appreciated by us who struggle day to day just to keep going. Your strength and driven determination is encouraging.
Also, have you heard of or tried using honey for any pressure ulcers? I just recently learned of medical grade honey being used for wounds and it blew my mind! Apparently the enzymes in honey promotes healing due to antioxidant, anti inflammatory, and antibacterial properties! Medihoney was the brand we used!
Hi Mattie! They recently switched me back on Medihoney from Prontosan gel, in the hopes that it’ll help promote regeneration, so here’s to hoping..! 😅🤞❤️
@@eirinceciliegjedrem I had never heard of it until recently when another nurse asked me to grab it! I said “honey.. like from the bees?”😂 I hope it works for you soon, so you can get back to your routine!!!
You are put in a sling then attached to the hoist in order to be moved safely into your chair or bed etc. As a caregiver/support person/assistant these machines are designed specifically for safety and they are fantastic. I know that they can be uncomfortable if used incorrectly so I strongly advise you to speak up if you’re not comfortable. Bless your sweet heart xoxo
I absolutely love witnessing part of your journey, as you have so graciously shared it with us. My mom had a C1 injury and I helped take care of her for 17 years, I just lost her. She couldn't speak, we read her lips (I am a TOTAL expert lip reader 😛 ) . Hearing your words actually helps me process what she went through. I am sending you love, and if you lived near me in USA I would totally try to come visit you! XO
Dear Elrin, I hope that your channel grows and grows. You are such an eloquent speaker and i believe you will be an inspiration to many, many people, not only those who have disabilities. I watched my first video last night and have never been so captivated by a RUclipsr as I was by you. Darling I don't have the disability that you have, and I am much older than you, but I suffer from chronic pain and fatigue and it can render me bed ridden for long periods of time. I don't particularly agree with the word "disabled" because, without wishing to sound patronising, I see many as super abled to overcome and adapt in such astonishing ways, not least their mental capacity to heal. I also watch videos on NDE's and I would say that is what you experienced when you were so helpless in the ocean. It blew me away that you had the premonition too. Sending you so much love, from the UK. 💕🩷💕
Hi just found you! I have a degenerative muscle disease and find myself in bed a lot. I have trouble finding comfortable clothing especially that I can get on and off by myself. Any ideas? Also, how did you meet your husband? Debi 6:03
I'm abled body, and I came to your channel looking for inspiration. Life has surely handed you a lemon, but thank you for using it to make lemonade. Because of your decision to use your pain for good, myself and many others can enjoy your beautiful spirit and positive energy.
Wow, what a wonderful husband you have!! it literally brought tears to my eyes when you said that he quit his job and become your assistant! That’s complete dedication and pure love that not a lot of people ever find in life! You guys make it wonderful team!!
Thank you for sharing your story and the honesty of the struggles you’ve gone through emotionally. It’s encouraged to me to get over myself and my negative feelings about aging. I’m embarrassed to even say that’s my issue. Compared to what you’re enduring it’s like I’m depressed over a hangnail. So thank you for helping me put things in perspective. I’m sure you’ve helped many make adjustments in their attitudes. It’s going to be encouraging watching you’re videos.🌷
We all have our fears and worries, and they’re painful to the person experiencing them - no matter what they are ❤️ I’m thankful we can encourage each other 💖
I got your video in my recommends, I have been a Caregiver to my Son all his life, he is 26 now, he has Tracheostomy, and G-Tube fed plus , he can't speak, I am so glad to have watched your video, I was very touched !
I wasn't sure why your video came across my screen at first, but now I'm aware on why. I've suffered with back spasms since I was 12 years old. I'm 36 now and after surgeries I still have them. You have given me courage to not complain anymore. In your accident video you explained the needle pain and I know it all too well, and also the uncontrollable spasms in my back that are so back I prefer to crawl on my hands and knees to get around sometimes. Thank you for sharing your incredible journey. It has helped me mentally, emotionally and physically. Stay strong 💪🏾. Sending love from the USA 🇺🇸.
Hello, Erin. Let me start by saying you are a gifted storyteller. I watched your video about your accident, and it was truly riveting. I very much look forward to more stories! I hope that’s part of what you’ll be doing…you just really have a way with words. So pleased I found this channel.
Hello dear Eirin, so delightful to meet you! I saw your video on your life and immediately felt drawn to your kind and genuine soul. And your gratitude! I am big on making gratitude lists❤What a blessing that I got to meet you! I live in Sedona, AZ, but grew up near the ocean in New England, in Connecticut. I spend time daily "filling my cup", meditating, chanting, kirtan, and yoga. I will hold you in my heart and my meditations. Sending you love and big virtual hugs. Looking forward to getting to know you better as we both continue our journeys. Seeing you strong, out of bed soon, and zipping around in your wheelchair!❤🧚♂️❤🧚♀️❤🧚♀️
You are such a beautiful person inside and out 💕 you really are an inspiration to me. I'm losing my mobility due to diabetes and a back problem. You are so strong and amazing work your doing for yourself .
I just watched one of your other post and glad to know you aren't going to lie down all the time. I feel like you are going to help a lot of people with disabilities be sure to donate time to our first responders and military members deal with the pain they go through after a injury they may have in the line of duty. You are a true blessing to anyone you can help. God Bless.
Hi lovely I so admire you, your bravery and spirit is so humbling. I came across your Chanel by accident and I’ve watched all your videos on here! New subscriber and I’m excited to watch your future videos! Keep em coming kiddo! 🎉🎉🎉
My neighbor has a similar injury. He was injured in a rodeo accident in his teens. He is remarkably capable; far beyond what most people would find possible. He has nurse aids during his day which he personally interviews and hires to fit his needs, but is very independent, as I am sure you are. He his married andbhas a lovely family. They raise money for rodeo scholarships as well as spinal cord injury research. I enjoy your videos, and I know they must be so inspiring to others.
Hiee! I'm a double amputee from birth and I work in the arts industry here in Australia with other disabled people, so I have quad buddies. One of my good friends became quadriplegic in exactly the same way you did. He was at a swimming pool and he dived too deep into the shallow end and snapped his neck and like you, couldn't move and was face down until being hauled out by friends. He's made a great life for himself. Best wishes for your video making and for having your best possible life. Cheers and love from a summery Oz ❤️ 💙 💜
Dear Eirin you're awesome and amazing 👏 I send love and light upon your life and my God continues to strengthen you and shower you with his richest blessing 🙏 🙌
Hi Erin Please take good care of you with these pressure sores In the past I was a cna I took care of a lot of people I grew to live and was so happy to be or ease I’m happy for your successes Just know you have another cheer leader here Rock on !!!
Hi there, I just wanted to say hi 👋 I just found you on RUclips and I'm now following you on Instagram. Thank you so much for sharing your story and posting these videos. Your amazing and inspiring ✨️ ❤️ Lots of love to you from an Irish gal living in Australia
I found your Channel Yesterday and I Just Adore you!!! Your way of talking, your gentle voice, what you Say and how you Say It. You are such a great woman, Brave, strong and inspirational for all of us. Yes❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are a blessing and a beautiful soul! Thank you for sharing your life story. You have opened my eyes to so much from just meeting you and hearing how your accident happened. ❤
You have such a lovely way of telling your story. I would never have guessed that English is not your first language. I wish you every success with your channel; I have subscribed.
Hey Eirin. I just started watching your videos. You are a true inspiration for so many people who are going through similar things like you. I have a mental health illness and you are so encouraging for me. Thank you. ❤️❤️😁
Hi there. I just found you as a suggested video from your how your accident happened. I am so sorry that you have gone thru this and are having to relearn your life again. I can relate on a much lower scale as I have several medical issues that limit my abilities. It is shocking and then a grief process to deal with and then taking small bites of learning to live again. I love that you are doing this channel. What a great idea. I fully understand enjoying planning and I too have a caregiver who comes afternoons to help me with some errands, housework, doctors and things like that. I didn’t know from your first video that you were married when this accident happened. I’m curious when it happened and how long you were married before this accident. I know it’s hard on a marriage as well. Your planning and participating so well in your own care is excellent for all of your relationships. I know it’s hard some days and easy to want to just give up. I love planning as well and I agree that having blocks of time is key and padding them for things that might take longer or where something unexpected happens or you don’t have the right tools etc that you thought. Your working on your body with your family and caregiver is a full time job and that you are also trying to reclaim your intellectual interests being fulfilled and even body interests maybe getting fresh air or I saw the pic of you at Xmas on Instagram sharing tree decorating or Xmas dinner is great. It’s these things that make life better and worth all the hard work. This is the second video I’ve watched and I bet it is tiring to plan out a video and prepare, shoot and edit/post. You look amazing and like you are working hard and finding at least some joys in life. It’s not a shock that you have anxiety issues. I wonder how well you sleep and if you have ptsd nightmares from the accident and the initial treatment where you felt out of control in the beginning of your health care in the spine center. Your story is very important for so many people and resiliency is the underlying message. What did you do before your accident and how have you reclaimed parts of things you loved before? I know I’ve lost some things I’m afraid to try to reclaim bc I’d like to avoid the mental pain of facing the loss of ability. But at the same time I don’t know what I’m capable of or haven’t really tried other ways of doing things. Example I have a bad tremor and was an artist with drawing ability and went to college with art as my major. I loved drawing, painting and did grad school in filmmaking. The hand shakes are so bad that using my left hand reliably for anything steady or grip isn’t there. I even tried doing photography of nature but even using a monopod tripod I was coming out with shaky blurred photos more times than not. It’s been extremely frustrating as it was my means of anxiety management most of my life I think. Long story here and more to say but I will send this much. Hang in and keep making videos. It’s great and your personality is very good to hang out with in these videos. I’m in Seattle area just east of Seattle by about 30 min car drive so suburbs with lakes and very hilly.
Hello my beautiful flower 🌸 Thank you for sharing your story - my heart pours out to you ❤️ I truly appreciate your kind and supportive words 💖 You ask many good questions, and I have noted them for a Q&A 😃 I really feel it when you talk about your artistry and photography, and trying to reclaim it - I wish I had a good solution for you, but I can only make suggestions. I have a few I would like to share + pictures, so if you would like to; write me an e-mail on ecgbrand@gmail.com and I’ll happily share ❤️ I hope and wish that you’ll find a way to practice a passion, and that there are many good moments and memories to be made 🥰 Thank you for being here and for sharing your light ✨💖
Hi. Sorry to intrude on your comment but have you tried a tripod and a remote for your camera if you want to do photography? You would be able to set up the shot and use the remote to take the picture so you wouldn't shake the camera.
@@AliWildDog hi, and yeah but most things are in the woods and I’m trying to do a sorta macro shot so it’s hard to set up a tripod on uneven ground. I have a shutter release for my big heavy dslr but usually just use my phone for shots and a tree or rock etc for stabilizing. I have literally sat down in muddy paths to get shots but its hard. I have a hard time with tripods bc I cannot move the camera in many angles and look thru it until I find the shot I want. Then to set up a tripod with that shot makes me lose the shot view bc it’s a spontaneous type of shooting along my walks. I also have a hard time bending down low so did try using the monopod but it was not very stable and very uncomfortable to walk with. I might try a small tripod that bends so I can bend it into positions it will work but then hard to shoot from above or at certain top heavy angles often in wet muddy atmospheres. I haven’t researched it much so I’m sure there is some solution. I want to do some artwork at home also that will involve transferring Ct/mri and X-ray images to something clear and painting on them or adding them to a painting but haven’t done it yet. I think having so many doors slam in my face with regards to ability has made me wary of trying so it’s interesting to learn how people with disabilities learn to live and thrive and push thru and build resiliency. Thanks for the idea. I appreciate your care about my situation. 🙏
Hope that pressure sore heals up real soon so you can be up and about again! Also really amazing news with the more hours of assistance! Here in Sweden many people lose hours even though they need more than they already had, our LSS has been in a very dire state for years and people have been forced to stay with their parents or move back in with their parents or even move to a group home because they don’t get any or don’t get enough hours of assistance. Essentially it’s becoming more and more like pre 1994 here :(
Greetings from Canada! I just discovered and subscribed to your channel. I work as a physician, but am otherwise so disorganized that I found myself laughing, thinking of how much more organized you are than me! It's taken me a long time to learn how beneficial routines are - not just for children and animals, but really, for everyone. You seem to have created a very thoughtful balance of activities and tasks; I get the sense that you're a naturally reflective and organized person - do you find this comes naturally to you, or do you need to work consciously on, for eg, keeping to a schedule and staying organized? Thank you for sharing the lightness of your energy and your gentle spirit. I look forward to seeing more of your videos and, as an animal-lover, hope that Thor may eventually wander onscreen, if he hasn't done so already! Cats are wonderful companions - they take relatively little care, demanding mostly respect and dinner! and give tenfold in return - kindness and companionship and daily (or nightly!) opportunities to laugh at their antics. Many of my patients have some kind of chronic illness, and nearly all have a pet - usually a cat (or two) - and they really do seem custom-designed by God for loving, low-maintenance companionship! A bit of a rambling note (as I said, disorganized!) but I did want to comment on your very authentic content, and simply say - I'm glad you didnt wait "til everything was perfect" - so many people wait for this their whole lives. Sending warm winter wishes to a fellow northerner on the other side of the world 🐈 !
Thank you so much for your beautiful words and your wonderful light! 💖✨ For me, I’ve always been organized, even as a child. Oh, Thor definitely will appear on the screen 😻❤️
I am so proud of you for how you are facing life challenges with grace and love. It takes so much courage and love to be you. I love you for being such a beautiful human being.
@@eirinceciliegjedrem my dear i am going through lot of body challenges myself with chronic pain and not much mobility due to chronic fatigue .people like you inspire me to hold on when i want to give up. So your life is a blessing to so many but i understand how hard it can be my love. I wish i could have a friend like you. I dont have to know more about you as my heart feels very closed to yours. I love you ❤
Good morning dear Erin❤️ Most people have no idea how much work it is to maintain good skin integrity and bone health as a person living with quadriplegia. In the US we call the lift a “Hoyer lift” that is a cloth sling that can move a person in and out of bed or chair. In Minnesota, US we have very good care services but like in Norway the number of personal care attendant hours is limited. Your command of English and medical technology is amazing. Thank you for sharing your daily routine with us. You inspire me to be more resilient and live in a state of gratitude. I agree about the importance of taking care of our souls/spirit. I am also 5 ft 10 inches but use to be 5ft 11 inches but have lost a bit if height in my 60s. 🤣 My great grandmother who lived in Norway was 5’11” back in the late 1800’s. My Dad was an electrician too. Your husband really loves you ❤️ Have a great week you too!
Your story is riveting. You are superwoman. I do want you to know that I am sorry about the accident. My younger brother at the age of six was hung by a tree by some of his friends. He lived. But not without being brain dead for a number of minutes. However, like you, he has had to make many lifestyle changes. He is now 57 and has found as the years have gone by he has learned to live almost help free. Like you he has friends and family support. He has had all the physical therapy like you, along with learning how to speak. Because of him I became a special education teacher. I love your spirit and positive attitude. I love your personality. You are an inspiration to so many. You are also such a beautiful woman. I will check in on you again. You keep up the positivity. YOU GO GIRL.
@@eirinceciliegjedrem Hi again Erin, thanks for your kind note. I imagine you stay busy with PT, OT, and various other everyday events including reading and writing to your many followers. Years ago, before the computer and cellphone and other technology devices it was quite difficult to reach out to other people with similar circumstances. Looking back, having a disability or having an accident to your extreme with the outcome that you have often caused people to shy away or just stop communicating at all. Fortunately as time, science, technology and the medical field has grown so has human understanding. With knowledge comes compassion, kindness and patience. I remember Christopher Reeves saying that it’s just a matter of time before science figures out how to fuse the nerves back to their original placement. YOU ARE AN AMAZING WOMAN. AN INSPIRATION TO SO MANY. INCLUDING MYSELF. When I feel down or I start procrastinating about something I go back and watch your story. You have a way of getting people to really realize life is what you make of it regardless of what your situation is or was. Be thankful for everyday and all the people that love you. Strangers that care, people that have seen you, heard your story and want to be a shoulder to lean on or even a rock you can count on. An ear when you need it. Trust in God. Only He knows what is next. In the meantime, keep smiling (you have a beautiful smile) you are such an inspiration and a beautiful young woman. You should go on tour and talk to college students and high school students who have similar mountains to climb and paths to take. Those students might just have some tips and some short cuts during your climb up that path.
The material that lifts you out of your bed is called a hoyer lift. Thank you for your openness to share your life with us. You give me hope.❤️ P.S. my name is Angela and I know that my last name is Norwegian.
Thank you for sharing this with us. You seem a little bit like me and love the feeling of accomplishment and organization. Even if we accomplish a small task on the list, it fills that part for us. Have a wonderful day and I hope you get some sleep and have some wonderful dreams. Thank you again beautiful soul and my Empath sister. P.S. I hope it’s ok to call you that because it’s what I feel in my heart and soul.
You are such an amazing, insightful and beautiful Being. I happened upon your channel. You are a bright Light in this world, and your authenticity is extraordinarily inspiring! Thank you for sharing your story, and your remarkable journey! ❤
Hej Eirin!
Watching you talk about the importance of physio with physical disability is motivating me to do my physio which I’ve put off for a few weeks due to pain and fatigue. I’m glad I found your channel, hope to see more of your videos!
Hi Eirin from 🇨🇦! New sub...your video about how your accident happened, showed up on my feed! You are certainly a strong and incredible woman! Thank you for sharing! 💜
Hi Erin, 👋 my name is marquetia, It is pronounced markita lol . I'm from Hannibal mo. Home of MARK TWAIN ! I just came across your channel and you are such a lovely person. As much as you've been through you are very humble. My son is 38 NOW and he got polio when he was 4 YEARS OLD. From the vaccine. It is very rare this happens. So I know the struggles That he has went through. He is most mostly okay today he wears long leg braces. He can walk anywhere alone. He lives a full life. He has three kids and a beautiful wife. We never know why things happen. But you are definitely an inspiration to a lot of people.. I'm showing this to my son when I see him this week. I loved your stories about your life. I will continue watching and praying. No matter what you are a blessing. God bless
Thank you, Marquetia! Such a beautiful name. I’m so happy you’re here ❤️ None of us are immune to life’s challenges, and we all try our best with what we have and know. I’m blessed with a wonderful network of friends and family, so I found that to be a great source of inspiration to fight and work towards a valuable life. I wish for everyone to have something that encourages and inspires them as well. It brings me such joy to read about you and your son’s amazing family, there’s such beauty in a life created from perseverance. I wish you and your family all things wonderful ❤️
Thanks for the open-hearted and open-minded way you tell stories of your life, very educational for everybody, raising awareness of many aspects of life 🥰 for every body and mind 🧡
Eirin, I can only concur with many of the others who have commented: You are an incredible inspiration. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Someone said you could be a life coach and I agree! I'm happy to have found your videos and wish you much success with them. I would also love to know how you met your husband! 😉
Hi Erin, I am a dancer and a cancer survivor... I am overwhelmed by your fortitude and mental discipline. 💝🙏
Thank you for sharing your life with us. Do you live with your parents?? I pray you have people that love you around you!!

I really enjoy your positive vibe 😊

I hope you have someone you can lean on and something that allows you to rest and breathe in between - because you truly deserve it 🤍✨💛
@@eirinceciliegjedrem Eirin I'm so happy to hear that you found love!!

That means so much, thank you ❤️
That’s is truly beautiful and completely correct statement. ❤
Darling girl, i was mesmerized by your videos today, Especially by the one where you describe your accident. Everything you said so touching.
Kind regards,
Tiffany
Thank you, Tiffany, I truly appreciate you sharing your story and also my videos ❤️ Thank you for all that you do and the light that you share 💖✨

I’m humbled by your story. I live with chronic back pain (the result of 8 major back surgeries) and sometimes feel like I just can’t get through another day.
I really appreciate that you’re dedicating your precious time to be a voice for those who can’t always advocate for themselves 🙏🥹

Thank you for sharing! 🥰❤️
Dear Eirin you're awesome and amazing 👏 I send love and light upon your life and my God continues to strengthen you and shower you with his richest blessing 🙏 🙌
Thank you, angel, and likewise 🥰❤️✨

Your English is impeccable. The word you were searching for is sling. I wish you the very best in life. Take care of yourself.
God bless you dear girl. I will pray for a speedy healing of the bed sore.
Thank you, beautiful 🙏
You have such a lovely way of telling your story. I would never have guessed that English is not your first language. I wish you every success with your channel; I have subscribed.
Thank you so much! ✨💖
You are an inspiration
Hey Eirin. I just started watching your videos. You are a true inspiration for so many people who are going through similar things like you. I have a mental health illness and you are so encouraging for me. Thank you. ❤️❤️😁
Likewise ❤️❤️
Hello my beautiful flower 🌸
Thank you for sharing your story - my heart pours out to you ❤️ I truly appreciate your kind and supportive words 💖 You ask many good questions, and I have noted them for a Q&A 😃
I really feel it when you talk about your artistry and photography, and trying to reclaim it - I wish I had a good solution for you, but I can only make suggestions. I have a few I would like to share + pictures, so if you would like to; write me an e-mail on ecgbrand@gmail.com and I’ll happily share ❤️
I hope and wish that you’ll find a way to practice a passion, and that there are many good moments and memories to be made 🥰
Thank you for being here and for sharing your light ✨💖
Essentially it’s becoming more and more like pre 1994 here :(
That breaks my heart and I’m even more grateful now for what I have 🙏❤️😔
@@eirinceciliegjedrem It’s just awful that people often don’t get the help they need to live as independently as possible for someone their age :/
Thank you for your kind and caring words, and thank you for being here - likewise ❤️
Thank you! 🥰
Thank you for be such an inspiration ❤️
You are so welcome and thank you for being here 💖✨
125 hours a week! I’m so happy for you and hubby! Congratulations!! Yay 🎉
😃🥳❤️
Thank you for sharing your story and light ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely 💖

Hej Eirin!
