Girl you can be really proud of what you made! It is so beautiful! You know, you will learn something every time you make something from felt. Even if you do it for decades! And that is one of the things that makes working with wool so satisfying. Soothing, stimulating and a learning experience on top of it. And look at what you have for a take-away! if you don't know what you want to do with it (I am not much for items sitting around either). Then you have a super special gift you can give with pride to someone who will appreciate it.
I do love working with wool too - all kinds of wool. I LOVE wet felting, but it's such a work out! I intend to do it again when I have a high-energy day, haha!
I love it! Your tool is for a ricer, something you use to push against fruit in a conical strainer to separate the juice from the skin, seeds and pulp. Often used to extract juice for making jellies, etc. I use to use one for persimmons to make persimmon bread. I love your finished bowl! It’s gorgeous!
Thanks for the video! I really enjoyed it! I’ve watched Nicola Brown’s video and was about to try out a bowl myself when I found your video. It was a great review and I’m ready to give it a try! By the way, your voice is very soothing and I loved seeing how pleased you were with the end result. Your bowl was beautiful!
LOVE THIS 💖💖💖 I am just thinking of starting felting and this is inspirational to me - says one without roving or any idea of what to make a resist from 😂
I had to scrounge around for something to make a resist from :) I imagine as long as it's waterproof and flexible, with a bit of stiffness, you could use anything. Good luck! Just order some roving from one of the many companies out there -- the Woolery, or Paradise Fibers, or others.
I am thinking of trying out one of those stiff plastic folders. I'll know next week when I go grab a few folders from our local KMart. I have some roving coming from a Lincraft store by post, when it gets here is another thing 🤣
Nancy, I am SO happy to find a use for the bubble wrap I have wadded around my house, haha. Thanks so much! I'm enjoying this, but I have to let my body recover for a few days before I do the next one.
Beautiful job! I’m a beginner, too. I’ve had a few fails! But it sure is fun when it comes out as pretty as yours. I subbed your channel.
Thanks so much, Debi! I love the look of felted wool. I want to make a hat this fall -- soon!
Beautiful! Great job, thanks for taking us along! 😊
You're welcome!

That is gorgeous! See how much we learn when we don’t know what we are doing. And what did we ever do before bubble wrap?
