I love mine in 2022 I run 2 nio timpano 6.5 4ohm each on doors and 2 prv bullet 6×9 on the rear deck 4ohms each so the amp is at 1ohms I like how there in a stock location my favorite part is the speakers hrtz rang all the way from 180-12,500 no tweeters needed. I play alot of vocal music I have a another amp for subs I run 2- 12s on a 1,500 watt amp the sound quality of the whole set up is amazing .it's easy to get cought up overspending on equipment .my set up is budget I'm at exactly $1,400 in. trust me worth every penny
People don’t seem to grasp the idea of such thing as bass (low freq) amps and voice (highs and mids) amps. Thanks for the video now i know the right watts and application!!
Both Stetsom and Timpano are great once used for mids or highs, these ampfilers are not designed to use for bass on subwoofers why is why these amps will fail or won't have quality sound when ran as an bass amp.
I was trying to set the gains on the TPT1400 using a oscilloscope with a 1k hertz sine wave but the wave on my screen was just bouncing all around going in different directions. Any reason why?
using a oscilloscope can be tricky, look at the range you are measuring it, you can be measuring the power supply oscillation which it does look like it is bouncing all around - but that frequency range is in the 50kHz and above

musically you wont need any more of that because of its designed and full range technology makes it very efficient and it will pull on a peak more than 60 amps - which the fuses will hold - the fuses there is only to protect the amplifier if you are over clipping the outputs - you can see on this video the amplifier only pull 175 amps is only 2400 watts but the amp dyno measured 3360 Watts which it doesnt make sense ... right ?? the amp is 85% efficient so it had to pull over 292 amps but it does not !! it is the same technology
it is a frequency response range at -3dB just like all other manufacturer, the curve of the response does drop on both ends giving you less output on both ends, but this amplifier is a full range amplifier, not built for bass, but i can be use for it !! It was designed for car audio enthusiastic that are looking for an efficient and compact amplifier for their mids and highs, most of our customer will run a 5000, 8000 on their bass and the 3000 on their mids and 800.4 on tweeters
@@TimpanoAudio why not add a high pass filter so it then cannot be used for bass if that's not what it was designed for? If it's going to be too stressful on the amp to play those frequencies just make it so it cannot be used for those frequencies. Or at least state on the website and in the user manual that it is not recommended below "xx"hz. Are the larger versions such as the 5000 and 8000 designed to play to the lowest end of their stated frequency spectrum?
@@matthewstanley737 no that is not it, you can sure use the amplifier for bass no problem the amplifier on music will work fine but you will not quite have a performance like a huge amplifier that has more guts - but then it makes the amplifier more expensive while there is a customer base that doesnt want to pay more for something they dont need !! that is why the amplifier is designed to be more cost effective when you are just looking for a mids and highs amplifier!!
So basically if using it for mids and highs it should perform as a 3000w amp. But if running it as a bass amp it would be better to consider it to be a 1500w amp.
Timpano is clearly hurting feelings out here. who takes Big D wiz Serious? Stetsom is king of competition amplifiers. Big D is a mouth piece for whoever pays him most. PeriodT.
His Video was just done wrong, he didnt have equipment to see that he had to stop the volume. if you have the CLIPPING LED on a real system with speakers you will burn first all your speaker, it is just a improper way to use the amplifier
And? Who are you? Big d Wiz is an old school stereo guy. Knows more of amps and systems than any of us. Just saying. And this amp did not hold the 40Hz test o his bench. And is not a Full range amp if it did not hold. 40hz.... He do the same test to any other "Full Range amp" on his bench i trust his test and believe me 1 second after hitting clip, fireworks happen.

Stetsom is great puts out more cleaner power than taramps. These amps are great for midbass they are not intended fr bass low Frequency

I'm running 6 mids and tweets. I used the meter and the ohm load sits around 1ohm to 0.8 ohm. Will this amp be fine???
yes, it should be fine, because that is the nominal impedance, when the speakers are playing with music you will well over 1 ohm

I love theses amps they very good and efficient and for the prices they are very good and I’m waiting for them to make a bass series line 👍

we will take in consideration to built a bass line - dedicated only for low frequency to have the options for both worlds
