Battery material demand and costs are sky rocketing. High efficiency EV design, like Aptera's, is the direction EVs need to go in the future. It's the only way a truly "affordable" EV will be produced. I'm in.

All these big financers you mentioned don't normally invest in risky, unknown startups. They usually come in when you are already succeeding. Aptera's biggest challenge now is to have enough resources to make it to mass production. But even these VCs are not without their dangers. Aptera is still mindful of the fact that these investors torpedoed the first Aptera. An important, even though emerging, source of finance in the world today is called Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). DAOs can raise for Aptera millions of free capital without any strings attached. This will help Aptera to remain independent and focused on their noble goal of providing the world with a highly efficient transportation without fears of the company being hijacked once more by uninformed VCs.

@@n.brucenelson5920 Yes, that was why they started off with Crowdfunding this time around, and have maintained it since then, even though they have more wealthy suitors now.
Everything up till now has shown that the strength of Aptera is their fan (people's) base. Little wonder that they have described themselves as a Movement! Once they lose this community base, they may end up like any of those many Wall Street companies that are being manipulated daily by the deep pockets, if they even ever make it to an IPO. Not that we don't like the IPOs. But Aptera must maintain control at all times. An Aptera worldwide DAO will go a long way in ensuring this, IMO.

Folks, Energy efficiency is important to me, gut that is not what is driving my intense interest of this vehicle. This vehicle looks slick. The thought of driving a vehicle that looks slick excites me. Thinking about that assembly becoming operational adds to that anticipation. Did you ever have a sexual fantasy? Has buying a car compared to that? Just a thought.

Thank you for watching My Aptera Journey video. I totally agree the vehicle looks crazy good. So from a sales perspective, that’s doubly good; those that are interested in efficiency, and those that are interested in a crazy awesome looking car. Thinking about the vehicle going into production is what motivated me to produce this video. The evidence of Aptera Motors to enter production in a cost efficient and high-volume (for this car) way is directly in front of our eyes. My goodness I’ve had many sexual fantasies.…. And, yes, having a car produced for you borders on that type of intensity.

Interesting, I’ve already made my Aptera reservation. You speak with authority, having had given your credentials. I found it very difficult to verify your background, because there are many Rich Rodriguez‘s note. I am already convinced of Aptera, is a sound investment in The world a risky investments, Therefore, you are preaching to a choir member. I also took note, that you referred to the investors that you mentioned as in future tense, with the consideration that California may be investing a considerable sum.

Angel Capital (I forgot to list this because Aptera is past that stage) and Venture Capital are two categories I know. Because I am not privy to the details of who their funding partners are, I can only list those that I am aware of in the universe of investor categories that wish to participate in their growth.

There is absolutely no way that interest rate can possibly go as high as they did in the late 70's and early 80's. The bond market would be finished, as the ratio of debt to GDP will not allow for that. At over 31, and 1/4 Trillion dollars in debt, each one percent rise in interest rate, is equal to another one trillion in interest payments. That is called unstainable.

The comment in the video, and the chart, was referring to the 30-year mortgage rate. If, for instance, the war in Europe suddenly caused fossil fuel prices to spike and spawn additional inflation it would not be impossible to see mortgage rates similar to what we saw in the 70s and 80s if the fed clamped down on rates to dampen inflation. I don’t believe that will happen, but the situation in Europe is unpredictable. Some fossil fuel outlets in Europe have already run out of diesel. In the northeast part of the United States diesel supply is limited. Unfortunately, much of our modern economy is predicated on fossil fuels as primary energy and any spike in fossil fuel costs, directly translate into costs of products which rely on it - an inflationary forcing function.

Thanks for the video Rich. I agree that the Aptera's value due to high efficiency, solar power, long driving range and high performance (at an affordable price) will set it apart from other EVs, and from gas vehicles. And I also agree that the perception that Aptera will be driving green transportation innovations, despite a struggling economy, and parts shortages, still puts Aptera in a good light. Hopefully, The Delta model will be unveiled in November, and the first couple production Apteras are built either before the first of 2023, or very early in 2023. I think that everyone from naysayers, to RUclipsrs, to investors will immediately view Aptera in a different, more positive light once production (even limited) begins, and again once it ramps up, later in the year. Viewed in the light of full production (and good reviews) the Aptera IPO will be far more successful. Hopefully later in 2023.

Aptera is saying that they are hopeful for a December release of delta. There is a lot yet to do. Deltas will be crash tested by a third party to FMVSS automotive standards, and there will be further testing. I have an early model Paradigm on order, and I wouldn't be surprised if delivery comes in the latter part of next year. (Of course it would be great to be pleasantly surprised.)
I am very aware of what is happening in the supply chain for every manufacturer. Chevy has even had to suspend manufacturing of the Corvette due to supply chain issues.

My approach would be to stick with a sound capitalization table… and then ‘hope’ the market is receptive at the targeted time. Economic conditions change, and can change quickly, which impacts IPO timing and valuations… hence my discussion in this video. Corporate finance is an art.
I suspect an optimal IPO window is, now, some 36 months away given the headwinds of rising rates and looming recession.

@@Rich1Rodriguez If they struggle for three years before an IPO, they will need some form of money to get the production started. Bridge loans against the order book, if nothing else. but if they wait it out for three years, they will be in the pile of almost happened like Tucker, or Elio. The money has been flowing at around the burn rate. Production is going to be a difficult thing, unless suppliers give favorable terms. Not likely in a period of economic downturn. I agree if just a few hit the roads then the order book should get lots of action, and cash flow will happen. Looks to my eyes as they are close, but still need a fair chunk of capital. Jannies Sun Burlingame leaving is unclear if it was the markets or what the motivation was, but the innovation which is the ethos of Aptera, will win out, I believe, and as an old man, I hope it will not be too long.

I just met Sandy Munro in Fl at a Tesla con meet up and his private enthusiasm WAS AND IS RESOUNDINGLY UNEQUIVOCAL for both Tesla and the uniquely iconic creative genius of this “wingless flight”… silentbird APTERA!
SANDY BROKE NO CONFIDENCES NOR violated any NDA …
BUT … he definitely “zen/reinforced” my very own personal first impressions and intuitive insights.
( I am an architect / designer too) … and I can see clearly how the SOLAR EV … IS a truly niche opportunity product segment which is about to be singularly dominated by this ECCENTRIC “over” ENGINEERED creative solution car, … and that APTERA/“Delta” is just about to GO INTO PRODUCTION soon … to be delivered to the world of 4 wheeled transportation EV’s “traffic jamming up” all high profile products promising to be TESLA COMPETITION ( not )!
I am an UNBOWED Tesla enthusiast, investor and am yes
A FSD Dreamer schemer in all things…
This is the no shrinking violet moment… to be one
DISRUPTIVE and out of the box bad azzzz!.
Indeed I DO BELIEVE that only TESLA IS still THE NEXT TESLA… but trust me when I say… Aptera is both … NOT FOR EVERYONE... but also it is for anyone that has the courage to Dream BIG … see SMALL … and BE the hope and change for a BRIGHTER tomorrow that already makes sense today ( even though this APTERA prototype is still just in Gamma ).
The moment of thoughtful quiet preparation is about to become momentum … IN IT…
I have “bought” in / and reserved one APTERA and joined the crowd source PRE IPO INVESTMENT round! ( yes APTERA requires courage and self confidence in one’s own research… and convictions ).
All things not for the timid, slight of heart or risk adverse.
But this is when the rubber… on three wheels for a aerodynamic drag coefficiency formulaic logic and reason, … truly hits the road.
My cyber truck order number will still have me patiently and confidently awaiting for a while longer...
    I’m ok with that.
    But in the meantime
I believe I will take delivery of my “SHOW STOPPING” Aptera with a 1000 Mile range will arrive before my Cyber truck in about late 2024!
And I’m not worried or doubting
    Tesla or Aptera!
I am in hope that there is an FSD Tesla licensing agreement in the future … and a full commitment to access a Tesla fast charging network both leaping Aptera’s credibility instantly forward in my confidence as well.
My happy thoughts embraced, are even more!… is Aptera the nearly perfect city car?
    I think so!
Enter stage left… the APTERA/ and Tesla robo taxi would be a first step to such universal integration of safety and inter vehicle collaboration and cooperation…
My vision only … but THIS COULD HAPPEN AND CHANGE THE TRANSITIONAL TRANSPORT WORLD !

Moreover, the electric transition permits more creative designs in transportation.
The Aptera roadster will undoubtedly be an iconic vehicle sought after and cherished.
