- A 1976 Yamaha V50P 2-stroke moped that hasn't been used since summer 2017. Its now March 2018.
The V50P harks from a period when a moped was a bike with an engine of less than 50cc and can be moved using pedals. They weren't restricted to 30mph or automatic gearboxes.
They're fitted with a similar engine to Yamaha Fizzies of the same era, with slight differences and less power. 50cc, not restricted and a top speed of about 40-45.

i had one exactly the same colour back in 1971 reg was VBO549J 4 years of wonderfull cheap travel, wish i had a time machine to pop off back to relive that wonderfull time.👍👍👍
Hey can I ask you something are these things modifiable like they’re kind of old can you modify these bikes the bacon faster can you put like bigger engines in them like a 90cc huh?
I had one the same colour back in 1979 it did'nt have any pedals I was 15yrs old and it was great fun 2 stroke engine I have had Honda 50 cubs which are expensive now. I think the little Yamahas were always under rated as good if not better than Honda 50 cubs
I definitely think they have a bit more character than the Honda. This was good for about 40mph with my 16 stone on it. I'd love to try the Yamaha V90 2 stroke.
I should have kept this.
nice little bike. love the gorgeous kickstarting in your trainers. . would of been nice to see it kickstarted in just white socks with out the fast motion but beautiful video
i had an orange 1 oh the joys of a head wind lol loved it to bits
I wish I hadn't sold it. So much rarer than a Honda C90 and way more character.
nice but these bikes like yamaha t50, v50, can't start while pressing gas.
Whaat no comments wow
I know, unbelievable! Had me best trackies and socks on too!
