A Fallout 3 remaster? That game is going to need a remake. 4k 60fps isn't going to cut it.
Especially since it technically already is 4K/60fps on Xbox Series X through BackCompat... I'll take these Remasters on PlayStation though as the games aren't playable natively 👌

For a literal decade I've wanted them to remake fallout 1 and 2. Make them compatible with tablets and phones like fallout shelter. Its mechanics would be so touchscreen friendly.

They're prob saying this because they consider 76 to be a genuine fallout experience now after all the updates, which is absurd.

I think the too soon stems from the fact that it is well established that Bethesda was not working on another Fallout, and they were caught with their pants down by the popularity of the tv show.
It is "too soon" in that regard for them to announce a new mainline fallout, as they've done shit all to make one.

We need a full remake. Fo3 is badass but the dlcs and most of the locations could be fleshed out to give more lore and side quests maybe. Plus itd be nice to have actual voice work besides the same 3 or 6 VA's they had

We have the actual remaster coming from the modders. Skyblivion. It is guaranteed to be better than whatever half-assed lazy bs Bethesda puts out.
I think releasing Fallout 3 and Oblivion at the same time is a great idea, put them as a package deal and the people who are interested in fallout but have never tried any elder scrolls games can give it a try

@@infinitecurlie The good thing about modders doing it, is all the custom assets will be available for Skyrim someday, to give it visual and maybe even in-game mechanic overhauls? You can already get free access to some of the Skyblivion stuff, like the Necromancer's Robes and Umbra.

Of the two, Oblivion is probably easier to modernize than Morrowind.

With starfield, I don't know, it just felt too many aspects were empty. But the idea of starfield still gets me excited, maybe they'll fix it.
I own a gamepass, so I don't buy games anymore, atleast not for the past 2 years. Because of this, I don't care as much if a game is released unfinished or trashed, especially if it gets fixed/improved overtime. I didn't buy it, so I lost nothing lol. Still playing fo4 and skyrim

I don't see the two remakes coming out. I think they're more likely to release the fallout remake because of the show, they'd just be competing with their own playerbase to release both back to back.
Assuming the leaks are legit, I could see the FO remake dropping this year following the hype from the show and an oblivion remake late next year leading up to ES6.

@@brownie43212 yeah, the people thinking a remake will be 'soon' because of the series, seem to forget game dev time takes years... Even IF they could crank fo3 based on fo4 or starfield's bones, it'll be way later than this renewed fallout interest.
Either it had to be in the works for a year+ already and they planned it, which, clearly not. Oblivion rerelease seemed to be first, but we've heard NOTHING from, yet. Fo3 was supposed to be later, so even given priority a bit ago, might not've been long enough to be soon. And, ALL of this was pushed back years. Starfield wasn't 2021, i doubt a rerelease was delayed 'less' than the major early xbox series title...
Or they should buy the rights to some seriously modded version and tweak it some to get it out in a few months, and even then the interest will have largely waned for most.
Hell, they even fucked over fo4 with the update, making what they DID work on most, worse, than it's been in like almost a decade, just when it's relevant again.
If I were them(and I'm not, I'd launch the oblivion remake about 6 months before season 2 of fallout and then launch the fallout remake at the same time. That way they could probably launch with some 140 dollar bundle with both games in it and use the excitement of season 2 to get people who may not otherwise buy the oblivion remaster to buy that bundle.

Actually no, just as much as I love a new fallout game, Elder scrolls deserves it more. We hadn't had a mainline tes game since Skyrim WHICH IS A 360/PS3 game ported to current gen.
Also remasters aren't bad, unless you want the older games to be lost forever. Even on Xbox after July you cannot buy fallout 3 or new Vegas anymore so you'll need a remaster or a port to play it. We get remasters and remakes because people ask for them, otherwise they wouldn't make money. It's better they bring back better games then make a mid new one.

IDKFA like IDQDD was a console command cheat for OG Doom back in the day, and is embedded in the muscle memory of every gamer over the age of 40. I believe it stands for ID Keys and Full Armaments and was used in Doom and Doom 2 on PC. Habe a good one. ;)

sounds worse to me. The Mic audio was too high, near the Db limit and had some odd reverb, like a cone sound.
Josh had to work with insanely low audio because something messed up with my mic! For better or worse, that’s why it sounds different!

I think that simply “negativity” is a bit of a light term for multiple hit studios being closed down. Especially since we STILL don’t have a legitimate complete response as to exactly why Tango is now working on releasing the final update for Hifi Rush, before they’re closed down for good. :(

Seeing how Doom takes from abrahamic religions, maybe Doom: Year Zero is the Fall of Man and the War in Heaven which caused 1/3rd of the angels rebellion and banishment.

There are always leaks. It's quite obvious a lot of these are intentional by the studios/publishers to get engagement.

However pretty sure IDKFA doesn't stand for what Matty said:
IDKFA stands for: "ID (ID Software) Keys, Firearms, Armour" because you can instead input IDFA which gives you ammo and armour but not the keys.

After this last week. Some positive news feels like a breath of fresh air.
If starfield main story is really bad. I doubt this DLC is going to save it. Andreja is the only companion that I like too, but most of her story was exposition and still very dull. I mean her planet was barren and looked like there was no civilization ever to inhabit it. I doubt Bethesda will pull through will DLC focused on her being detailed enough that it can outshine the main plot. Its too discombobulated as a whole package.

Skyblivion release next year it’s the closes one to finished, from what I know once it releases most of the team is gonna help with skywind. Also if your interest in a new fallout experience fallout London is about to release and it’s basically an entirely new game larger than fallout 4 looks beautiful.

I would inject Quake into Starfield. A Lazer Tag building in Neon that goes to the internet and you can pay crowns to sign up for Lazer Tag or pay less to be a spectator walk around and chat with others. Show off your new modded gear or whatever.

How would we feel about being able to get up and move around the ship while we're at warp in Starfield? It doesn't feel right to sleep in the ship when it's in the ground. But at the same time, travel doesn't need more steps.

Need the remasters so bad. Oblivion's almost 20 years old. Im a little anxious how that gets handled, its art style almost looks like a watercolor painting which really contributes to its unique atmosphere, im concerned they'll go for a more realistic style in a remake

What benefits consumers is having the choice to play these things whenever the hell they feel like it. Bethesda is a joke. I will start caring again and spending money again ONLY after Todd and Emil are gone, or Microsoft takes away the Fallout IP & hands it to a Dev shop who actually cares about it.
This. How does anyone still get hyped for BGS games after FO76 and Starfield? Especially for remakes and remasters? I'm much more interested in whatever Id Software is cooking.
@@Knoloaifyhonestly the reason I get hyped is because of the promise of a really cool, unique rpg that has funding to make it user friendly. Of course bethesda is also really good at trailers and building hype. Things are announced in a way that makes your imagination go wild for a bgs game.
@@patcho7518 I'm afraid I completely disagree. No one should have believed the hype of a Bugthesda game after Skyrim. That game was terrible, as has been each product they've released since.

I haven’t forgiven Fallout 76. Judging by the Steam charts and adjusting for consoles tells me many haven’t forgiven it. I get you’re probably going off of ‘vibes’ but the metrics don’t line up with your statement.

@@benwavin Program called Steam, you’ve probably heard of it. Sells games. Also lists how many people are playing a game. It won’t list everyone though because it’s the *Steam* charts. I’m adjusting the listed figure to make up for that.
Doom Eternal, is still a very current game, and does better than some releases in its genre. I think the next doom might feel more like an extension than a separate game
Doom came out 4 years ago, it’s not so and so such a current game.
With 76 it makes me happy seeing so many new people playing.
And I’m just fatigued with “in 6 months we will have something”.
This xbox showcase will be a massive dissapointment.
