Me and a friend fished the N.C. coast last fall. He caught way more fish than me because he used nothing but ultralight setups. Loved the video. I am definitely getting into ultralight fishing but I'll always have at least one big surf rod with me.
Tony, such a fun video to watch! Those whiting had you running. I did get a kick out of the fast hits. No time to rest. Thanks for sharing your fishing adventures!
Think I might have to try whiting on light tackle. We have decent size ones over here in Pinellas County, but I see them as bait for beach snook, shark, or cut bait for reds.
I’ve been using light gear at the ocean for years. It’s funny when you see people fishing for king mackerel, with 50 pound test and 800 yards of line I mean what the hell
Definitely been fun with the whiting lately. What type hook did you say you are using now? Also you don’t seem to use and thread to hold the bait on, how do you do that is there a new trick? Hope the bite holds for awhile

looks like fun fishing for sure. florida?
Hi. What is the little rod you are using. Like the blue blank with orange whippings. Looks like fun fishing until the big one comes along.
Beyond me why no one uses baitrunner reels I have full confidence in the Shimano and okuma
