  • In this video I photograph Dege Peak in Raineer National Park, Washington. Because of my faulty DJI Action camera, I had to purchase a GoPro which happened to come with a free head strap. This was the inspiration behind this Landscape Photography POV video. I hope you enjoy it.

Great video! Really enjoyed this perspective. It's one thing to talk about compositions after the fact, as well as sharing your thought processes when the shots were taken... However, this video allows viewers to see first hand what it is you are thinking and the considerations you are making. I am all for you incorporating this style of video in with you other videos! Thanks for sharing!

Loved this, looking at the landscape "though your eyes" your commentary was brilliant, seeing you make decisions and explaining why, and also seeing the camera screen. Found it fascinating seeing you work, finding things you don’t like or don’t want and explaining why and how you get around them. Excellent! More like this please.

    Thomas,
I very much enjoyed the POV perspective.
I'm glad you had the opportunity to visit the North Cascades.
I've traveled the world a bit, and never found so beautiful a place as the PNW.
If you're up to a high country Trek, hiking the Olympics from Hurricane Ridge near Port Angeles, WA south to the North Fork of the Quinault River will give you an amazing hike with many magnificent composition opportunities.
Thank you for all that you've taught me.
I very much appreciate both you, and what you share.

Tom! Not only was this video quite edifying in that we got to see your view as you conceived of and composed your shots, but you happened to be summiting a peak very close by Shriner Peak, don’t know if you saw the old fire lookout station there on your maps. I grew up hearing stories about my father’s summers as a Mt Rainier fire lookout on Shriner in the late ‘50s and early ‘60s. He passed away last year so I’ve been meaning to make a trip out there from New York. (He was in good company, apparently, as a Cascades fire lookout-Jack Kerouac included. Everyone check out the book “Poets on the Peaks” if you haven’t.) Anyway, needless to say, this video gave me chills in the best possible way. Thanks so much.
Thanks so much, man. Keep up the great work.
