    After two weeks of finally being back on the road, we have to say goodbye. But before we do, join as for our last week of living in our truck as we stay the night at a blueberry farm, camp in the national forest of Oregon, and heading to Overland Expo PNW in Bend, Oregon.

    Hey y'all! We're Chris + Sara (or as you know us, Let’s Be Us), a husband and wife digital nomad travel duo currently working and traveling full time with our pup, Kramer. We've always dreamed of traveling full time, and in May of 2018 we took the leap and made it happen! Today we're balancing work and fun everywhere between the Pacific and Atlantic. From hiking and cycling to tacos and coffee, we're trying to see and experience as much of this world as we can! While our home is currently on wheels in our DIY Sprinter van, our travels take us all around the world.

    Having lived on an acreage in Nebraska for the last 38 years, we've never worried about foxtails getting in our dogs noses. I recently heard about it from another RUclips video. We've always worried about foxtails getting tangled in our dogs coats and in-between their toes.
    Love your videos keep them coming Sara & Chris and stay safe! ❤

      Thank you so much! I didn't know y'all had them as far east as Nebraska, that's good to know. Side note: I think Nebraska is one of the most underrated states. Every time we drive through it we think it's beautiful and that the people are so friendly!

      @@chrisandsara Thank you I feel the same way my state is under rated. There's some very beautiful areas with alot of amazing things to see and do in Nebraska. I love the Sandhills and canoeing or floating on the Niobrara River and stopping by Smith Falls.If you're ever here check it out. Also Indian Caves in southeast Nebraska are amazing too.

    Foxtails are dangerous when they dry and turn brown, the green ones are soft and flexible and don't fall apart to get lodged in animals. We're in socal and there are tons out here, its still rare for them to get lodged in your animal but yes it does happen...

      Thanks so much, Sherri! Lots of angles, but also a lot of fun to capture. If we didn't enjoy the filming aspect we probably wouldn't enjoy all the angles as much. lol :) Hope you're doing well in CR!

      Hey y'all! The expo was a lot of fun as usual. It's always nice to see old friends and meet other people who enjoy a similar lifestyle. Y'all are going to have a lot of fun at the CO one! The previous owners named the truck Gary (after the snail in Spongebob because it looks like a snail lol) and so far we're planning to keep the name. It's a funny name that fits the quirkiness of the truck! 😂

    Does the cab have AC? Any thoughts on AC for the back?

    • @chrisandsara
      @chrisandsara  11 месяцев назад

      Hi Mike! No, the cab doesn't have AC, although there are a few aftermarket options that we're considering. For the living space we're looking at going with Cruise n Comfort (or another ducted DC powered option) that we could also potentially duct to the driving space, too. A rooftop AC is a last resort because we're already so tall and we don't want to be anymore top heavy than we already are. :)

    Where did you leave your truck when you left Oregon? Airport or are there better places? Thanks.

    • @chrisandsara
      @chrisandsara  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Matt! We actually were able to leave it at a friends house in Bend. Airports are usually good options since they're safe and many have space for oversized vehicles. However, since we had to leave it for almost a month, it would have been crazy expensive and we didn't want to leave it exposed for that long.

    What happened to your doggy? Did he go with you?

    • @chrisandsara
      @chrisandsara  11 месяцев назад

      Yes, Kramer pretty much goes everywhere with us. Unfortunately Guatemala was partially a work trip and the client wouldn't like him begin there for this specific project, so the plan was to leave him with our house sitter. We've only ever had to leave him behind for a couple of trips, usually only when it's a destination that's rabies free and almost impossible to get him to. :)

    • @martylovejoy
      @martylovejoy 11 месяцев назад

      Harvest Hosts. Wineries, orchards, farms, etc... let you camp for free but hope that you'll buy their products. Very hit or miss... Beautiful setting or parking lot. Inexpensive or more expensive than a campground. $50/yr membership, I think. Me? I didn't renew membership.

    • @chrisandsara
      @chrisandsara  11 месяцев назад +1

      Definitely a hit or miss thing. The app does let visitors review their stays which is very helpful. Unfortunately since we first started using the app they've added a reservation component so lots of people are booking their spots weeks (or months) in advance, similar to a campground. It used to be a great option to find different places to stay while on the move instead of a Walmart, but now it doesn't really serve that purpose since spots are harder to snag. Usually you can only spend one night at each place so it's not really worthy of planning your trip around getting to a certain farm since they're usually a little farther out of the way.
      All that being said, we renewed because we've stayed at some really great ones and sometimes the farms/breweries are in places where there aren't any other camping options. For ~$100 a year, it pays for itself within a few visits vs. campgrounds.
