Hi Glanni. That's so cool! I can only imagine what Termoli was like back then. Did you notice that they put more sitting benches and flowers on the promenade? Termoli rocks! ♥️🤗
@@gianniferrieri8642 Yes, we went there right before summer. They were so quaint and the beach small but gorgeous! I made a video about it 👉 ruclips.net/video/5-QpkzV75IQ/видео.html
We spent several days in Termoli.... stayed in the old town... we loved it... this is where my wife would like to buy a place... at least close to this area
Beautiful town, I enjoy looking at Italian doors and windows for some reason :), I remember last time I visited Italy, I took picture of so many windows and doors of shops and houses, ect..Thank you for sharing. The churches are a totally different stories, I love the churches.
Hi Christine, the older doors are amazing! There are many houses that have changed to aluminium doors but I'm not really fond of those. Heavy, big wooden doors are so special 🤗♥️
Hi Pete, it can get busy but not hectic like other places. It still has that family -orientated vibe even in the summer. Also prices of food and beverages are very low considering it is attractive to tourists. For example in our town, se pay €1.50 for a beer and in Termoli €3 with good appetisers. There is a place in the centre of town that has a special of coffee (anche cappuccino) and a pastry for €1.50. We can't resist 🤗☀️
Thanks Claudia. We love showing these places to our subscribers. 😃 It's like when you watch a good movie or show and have someone to talk about it with, during and after. It wouldn't be the same if we just kept all this beauty to ourselves.
When that darling cat pounced at Aden I laughed out loud! 😂They are so much fun to watch. Termoli is a lovely place to visit and you had a sunny day without wind. It’s always shocking to see all the restored homes and then a ruin in the middle! It certainly shows a “before” and “after” so people can see what can be done to restore an old house. Thank you for taking us on the journey. It’s nice that both of you enjoy doing this together.
Hi VLPs. Yes Termoli is beautiful. That day it was a little overcast and even then it was so pleasant. Cats are so funny. You can watch them for hours ☺️
Loved the video of Termoli! We were there for an afternoon last October and enjoyed it very much. Can't wait to go back next time we are in our village in Abruzzo.
Hi Nancy, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. If you go to Termoli in summer for a few days, perhaps try to get accommodation on the towns nearby on the hills. We noticed that many people come to the towns on the hills for the nightly breezes to avoid the night humidity in Termoli. In saying that, we didn't think the humidity was too bad. Lethal because we came from Brisbane?
Love Termoli, especially the Centro Storico. Lots of good restaurants too, including one on the road overlooking the Ferry terminal to the Tremiti Islands. We are about the same distance away as you, but just over the border in Abruzzo, inland a little from San Salvo.
It's on my TO Do list ✅ There are roadworks and from here to Montenero so we have tried to avoid going there. Do you know of a place with good coffee and pastries there? That way we can try to make it for breakfast there 🤗♥️
Hi Maria Eugenia. I was talking about your question with my husband and in all honesty, we can't think of any areas in Termoli where we haven't felt safe. Even what we call the Industrial area where car dealers and mechanics are is well organised so it doesn't feel dodgy. The centre of town and the historical centre have a relaxed vibe so again, we didn't feel uneasy there. At the beach there are places where you can get an umbrella for summer and it comes with a locker, so stuff is secured there. We found out that 1 umbrella comes with 2 lounge chairs and go from €17 to €19 a day or cheaper if you buy a monthly/seasonal pass. I would just keep an eye out around the train station as I do with all train stations everywhere, including Australia.
hey !!! for digital nomads (IMO I don't like that name), which nearby towns have good quality internet? :) or maybe how isolated those are from tech? thanks :)
Hi Angel. We tether from our phones when we use the laptops and that works well for us. Have a look at TIM, Iliad, Wind3 and Vodafone. Iliad has worked well for us here in Molise but it was pretty bad for us in Abbateggio, Abruzzo. Iliad has a mapa de cobertura where you can see the type of network and speed. I have seen the 5g sign popping up just going the hill from our town. PS. You will need a Códice Fiscale to get any SIM, even a pre-paid. If you want an internet plan at home, most of them require an Italian Identity Card as well. That's why we use our Iliad pre-paid and tether as at the beginning we didn't have an Italian ID. Hope this helps 👍
Question, my wife wants to get an Italian passport, in order to do that she needs to be a CITIZEN first.... SHE won't be able to apply unless she gets the language and comprehend B1 certificate..... did you have to do that? MY TWO boys had NO ISSUES getting the Italian passport without the B1 certificate.
Hi Glanni. Neither of us has citizenship yet. We are trying to get my husband's citizenship by descent, so thinking about the language side of things is not something we are concerned about yet. I expect I would have to take the test if my husband is given citizenship. I studied Italian at uni and still remember quite a bit.
I’m going to puglia in may and going in a day trip to termoli from my accomodationin Foggia . I’ll get lost there without wifi!! Can you tell me if generally cafes will have wifi ? I’ll be buying a travel sim but not a lot of data available . Thanks from Australia
Hi. In the bigger cities like Rome yes, but in the smaller ones less likely so. I don't really see it advertised like we do in Cafes in Australia. Not sure what SIM you're thinking of buying, but there is a company called Iliad and it's pretty good. You can buy a Sim card on the spot at their kiosks and you don't need a Codice Fiscale, only your passport. There is a pre paid plan for about €10 that gives you 150G of data. It also includes free calls in Italy, and you can cancel at any time. They have also a data only plan for about €15 that gives you 300G. Here is a link of their locations 👇 puntivendita.iliad.it/map/
