I tried to answer all of them and think I came very close. If yours didn't show up here it was almost certainly because someone else asked the same question first. Figured it was better to leave it out then repeat the answer to 'Who are your favorite RUclipsrs' 10 times, but I'm sorry if you got left out. Just wanted to say, i consider you my favorite youtuber for the reasons you said you make videos for. I feel like you explain games in a certain way that most similar channels just don't do it for me, you explain how you feel and what you find in a game in a deeper level than just what's on surface. For example, both of your Persona videos (3 and 4) have really impacted me, and every time i play those games now i just keep noticing exactly the things you explained in those videos, the overall message they try to pass to the player, and it's really awesome. truly i consider those 2 some of my favourite RUclips videos of all time.
Even when i disagree with you, i can understand why you think what you think and i never feel like you just jump on a trend or something like a lot of others.
So yeah, just wanted to say thank you for putting so much effort and love into your videos, they're truly amazing and it shows. Can't wait for future videos from you.

Your answer to game development struck a chord in me. I aspire to be in the animation/video game industry, I've started to write a draft for a novel and hope to improve on my drawing. For the longest time I've been wanting to do something when it comes to developing a game, with no practice on coding or programming, I'm studying under Digital Media and still haven't dabbled in that area yet.
If I feel like developing something or just trying something out, maybe I should just go for it, when I feel it I should just do it with whatever program I feel I should use. I have some game concepts written down, I have novel concepts that I want to dive into, taking the first step will count for something right? I've done it with my novel draft at least. Thanks Ryan, I'm looking forward to your new videos! Overtime you've become one of the YTbers I actually look forward to new videos from! :)
It's always better to try and fail then to not try. You'll always feel better saying 'I wish I could have made that differently' then you will saying 'I wish I could have made that.' Keep at it. Like I said, dedication beats talent every time.

Final Fantasy 9 is still my favourite though.
It captures everything Final Fantasy has always been to me and builds on it tremendously.
And I feel you on that NieR:Automata part buddy...
That game made me drop college to focus on entering a video game design school, which I officially will in a month after months of entry tests (Yay me !).
You will never believe how hard it is to enter those schools when you already have a License degree in maths and physics... They don't take well to the pure "logical scientific minds" in this field as they treat it as an artistic one (which it is).
I've always played games for as far as I can remember, but I was never passionate about it before that, it was just entertainment.
But then I played back to back: Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Persona 5 and NieR:Automata, in a moment in my life where I was depressed and didn't know where I was going.
This perfect storm opened my mind to the possibilities of the medium and trully sparked a deep passion for video games within me.
Intellectually, I'd say that FF9 is the best of the series. It's got a seriously underappreciated depth and nuance to it's narrative. However, FF7 is just too personal to me at this point, ya know?
Also, good luck with college homie! Keep at it and you'll be able to do it, no doubt!

edit: I'm fairly new to the channel thanks to DMC, so I'm not that familiar with you yet, but from this QnA Podcast I feel like you have not played Monster Hunter game yet? since you said that you love mechanic in games and pushing them to the limit, and you like action game like DMC so maybe you will enjoy Monster Hunter World, I have played the series since 2004 and I think MHW has the most polished action combat in the series
I'm interested in MHW, but I'm also sorta gunshy. That's another series I've always wanted to love, but every time I try to play any of them they just feel like the most boring form of Dark Souls. And it sucks because so many people I love in my life want to play it with me but I have yet to play a single game I liked from it. However, MHW seems to have won over a lot of people who shared my opinion, so that gives me hope. I'll be grabbing it after a price drop.

cool, I hope you can get into it because the boss fight is absolutely the best in any video game ever imo (combat wise)
can you elaborate tho why you think it is a boring DS? because as someone that has played MH before DS (I love both to death for a different reason) I find DS boss fight to be subpar at most compared to MH because of how the weapon work in DS
Little tips when playing MHW or any MH, try using longsword or other simple weapons because some advanced weapon like Charge Blade take a lot of time to master and will feel very clunky to use while also learning the monster and basic mechanic of the game will make it 3 times harder and more frustrating but once you got the momentum going, the game is a blast

I started playing P4G (my first) around a year ago when I bought my Ps Vita bc too many people recommended it.
Needless to say, I love the series as a whole, I've watched the Animations and films, played the games, watched playthroughs, heard discussions, listen to the OSTs for hundreds of hours.
Is that healthy? Probably not lol. But I'm glad I gave this jrpg a chance because before it I've never experienced any Japanese mediums/content.
Persona has changed the way I view life, friends, and my daily routine.

As a big fan of Rts I have to recommend Dawn of War series.
One of the entries was also my first game ever, and one of my favourite games overall.
And yes, you really DO need to play Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver series. While gameplay may not be Dmc3, it is certainly not bad. It's the story where the series shines.
Soul Reaver is without a doubt never gonna be covered by him. If by some miracle he played the first game, the rest of the games in the series are so required to talk about the series that I doubt he'd ever get to play them all.

You can either start with 0 and go in chronological order or start with 1(the PS2 version not Kiwami) and play the series in release order. In my experience both roots work very well. Yakuza is the kinda series that greatly rewards you for sticking with it so this question is more important than it normally would be with other game series
Also note that if you go ionto Kiwami without prior knowledge of the series, the whole Majima Everywhere System's memetic value might be lost on you.

Hearing your thoughts on Uncharted mirror mine (again, I think) I'm curious as to what your thoughts are on the rebooted Tomb Raider. I really liked everything about the first one except the forced walking sections and QTEs and I'm kinda lukewarm on the sequel. It has pretty great gameplay with too many solutions to one problem and I kinda like it a lot but the story of that one feels really hollow. The dialogue is bad as well and the QTEs and forced walking sections are still meh.
And hearing all that time it takes for you to make your videos, I guessed as much because your videos are so well put together. And it is most appreciated. :)

So I have a question about Shadow Hearts Covenant.
I own Shadow Hearts 1 but haven't touched it because of the curse of the infinite backlog, but I do plan to get Covenant when I can find it at a decent price. When that time comes, should I play the first one then Covenant, or just skip it and dive right into Covenant.
I own 1 and 3 but dear god man the prices I've seen for 2 are ridiculous!
You can do either. Covenant does something really smart by framing a lot of the story through the eyes of a woman who knows nothing of what happened in the first game while also framing a lot of it through the eyes of the protag of the first game, so it works as it's own story and as a sequel. I first played it without knowing it wasn't a sequel and absolutely adored it. And yeah, it's rare as shit and super expensive, but even if you can't find it, maybe you can get something else that will emulate the feeling.
Looking at those channels you enjoy I recommend you go check out Mark Brown's Game Maker's toolkit. You WILL love it.

I will say, it's one of those things that seems Fine(tm) as you're playing through it. If you're like me, you'll just feel kind of numb playing it, but not annoyed. However, immediately upon finishing it (again if you're like me), you'll turn around, examine it, and realize that literally every part of it just crumbles under any amount of scrutiny.
Nonetheless, I do hope you enjoy it. I'm not someone who 'wants' anyone to hate a game. However, I'm also not going to lie about how I feel about it, ya know?
