Yew Bonsai Tree care and maintenance. I repot and also show how to prune a Yew Bonsai Tree. These trees are very easy to maintain and care for. Pruning of a Yew Bonsai Tree is also very simple and easy to do.
EVENTS OF LAST 12 MONTHS
Its been a very difficult twelve months. Wrong medical diagnosis for twelve months only to be told earlier this week there was nothing wrong they had got it wrong with kidney stones !
coupled with three other health issues diagnosed at the same time in June Last year. Please to say they are not life threatening and under control with life style and diet change with regular visits to the gym. In October my son died and funeral arrangements took seven weeks as his mother and I are divorced and she remarried some one who is not very pleasant to foreigners. The In April this year my sister died. In the last two weeks my home was being broken into in the middle of the afternoon, in-spite of the fact that I was home, Police rapid response were on the scene within minutes. Door had to be temporarily boarded up with repairs to follow. That was on Monday. On Thursday my iPhone X was stollen from my desk by some one pretending not to speak english and in presence of two members of staff. On Friday night my Japanese Arakawa maple was stollen. These three events happened in one week. For the last four months my ankle has suffered from fungal infection and in-spite of treatment its healing very slowly and to cap it all for the last two weeks I have severe lower back pain.

Hi Vinny, This Friday was the first ray of sunshine when after the doctors and consultants telling me since June of Last year that there were stones in my left kidney. Last Friday the head of urology department, kept me waiting for an hour and then tells me there are no kidney stones the first scan in May last year was not reliable and that the scan they did in September last year was more accurate and reliable ( Since the Scan in September last year they gave ma an appointment for December and postponed it four times, and the final one was on 14/.06.19 some nine months after the scan which confirmed that there were no kidney stones). I was very happy at the first good news in a year, but also angry that they kept me waiting for nine months to tell me the results.
I am not out of the woods yet, but have through out my ordeal remained positive and that is what will get me through.

Welcome back! I had feared the worse, but am glad that I was wrong. My sympathies for all your trials. As someone who has had back issues for 30 yrs I share that pain with you.
On a bonsai note, have you ever air layered a Yew? Is it possible? I have a Taxus Baccata "Amersfoort" that has 1 branch I need to remove for the tree's design, but I would like to save branch since it would make a nice small starter tree on it own. Thanks and again, welcome back!

I have never air layered a Yew tree, there is absolutely no harm in trying. 'if it works you have a second tree, if it doesn't then you were going to remove that branch any way. If you do it do let me know in a comment on a yew video how it turned out for you as it will be good for me and other to know.

I'm so sorry to read about all your recent bad luck. I'm hoping things now swing back the other way. It's been a bad 2019 for me as well. I had a pulmonary embolism and learned that I have a blood disorder that makes me prone to getting blood clots. So, I have to be on a blood thinner for life. Hopefully 2019 will end much better than it's began.
Thank you for your kindness. I am sorry to hear of your health issues. I hope my bad run is coming to an end. In June last year I was told of four health issues on of which was that I had stones in my eft kidney, following a scan. Last Friday I had an appointment with a consultant and was told that there are no stones in either of my kidneys. I was very happy and also very angry at the same time as they did a second scan in September of Last year and kept on postponing my appointment and was given the scan results nine months after the scan, that's our NHS !
I wish your health improves as has mine by change of diet and lifestyle.

And that was a very informative video. Just so I am clear ; removing those leaves from along the branch will encourage back-budding? Thank you. Pleased your back.

Hi Mat, I have been working on my willow trees recently and the next two videos you will be able to see their progress. There is die back during winter, and we have to managed them the best we can. I was off ?YT for a year due to personal issues and this is the first vide since my return. Will Check out Nige;'s to see what 's going on with his.

lots of crap going on in Norway too,, but bonsai trees really help,, the last weeks , i been watching over my myrtus communis (myrtle) tree , it have gotten its first buds that looks like flowers,, maybe they are berrys,,, i think flowers come first,,
every day i study it for a few minutes watching for changes.. some times twice a day .. =)

Hello Quaid, Am so please to hear from you. Thank you for your words of wisdom and I too with hindsight would say that my experience echos yours.
Good to hear about your myrtle tree and yes the flowers come first then they either die or if it fruit or berries.
Have made a start with the videos and it will be a slow process so bear with me.
