- There aren't really any decent enough tutorial videos on how to fit these wardrobes with modifications in a loft conversion, so thought I'd film the process and help people save a lot of money and do it themself.
A step by step guide on how to fit an Ikea Pax wardrobe in a loft conversion where the roof is slated at an angel and uneven.
I will show you how to measure, cut and fit the wardrobe from start to finish.
This was originally quoted by a carpenter to be fit for £1000 (that's labour only!). We managed to do it for Free (labour) ourself in 2 days. Almost anyone can do this. Авто/Мото
This was such a great instruction. We are making a wardrobe in one of our indoor sheds. Thank you for all of your tips as well:)
This looks really good finished. We'll done on thinking this up!
Thanks for the video!
Great vid great tips 👍🏽
Can you explain how you cut the doors? And did you put trim on the cut end to seal it?
Brilliant video.why did you measure the depth?
Hi these look great. Well done. I have a similar set up in the attic and was wondering what size doors did you buy? And were they also from IKEA?
Hi. Yes from Ikea. I can't remember the exact size of the doors, but you can get the smaller size doors as they're going to be cut anyway
What size Pax wardrobe did you use and how many did you need?
Are you able to have clothes rails in this sort of set up? I’m in the process of trying to sort out the eldest’s room with wardrobes and I think Pax cut down might be the best option!
Yes you can definitely have clothes rails in these. I added them here as well and they work well. Good luck
Really good... Very impressive. How did you do the doors?
Thank you. After I fitted the wardrobe and put it in it's final position, I measured from the floor to the top of the wardrobe then deducted 1cm from the bottom so that when I fit the doors, they don't scrape the carpet every time and I cut them to size and fit them. I drilled 5mm holes on the inside for the hinges and fit them. That's all. Hope that helps!
Good work. What did you use to keep your circular saw straight?
Thank you. I used a Makita saw which has a huge disc, and it's straight but you need to mark everything before cutting and just follow your lines
What ikea range was this as I haven’t seen this colour
Did you cut the doors?
What is this? A video for ants!?
Ants don't have an internet connection, or youtube!
