Baahubali is so good! I love its setup-flashback-conclusion format, like a short form Machete Order. And the betrayal! Kattapa! 😭😭😭
Having the same actor play father and son adds an extra layer of reincarnation allusion to the story as well.

There are 3 books on Baahubali which tells the story of Baahubali beyond the movie. The first book name is "Rise of Sivagami" - this book tells the story of Mahishmati and how Sivagami came into the Mahishmati

This movie was stunning, I like what you said at the beginning of the movie "It takes a village to make something beautiful."
I love at the start of the movie when all young Shiva wants to do is climb the waterfall and his adoptive mother says there are ghosts and demons up there to stop him from doing it, what are parents like, it's like when my dad would tell me stories of The Boogyman.
Then as he grows older and he starts to climb you said "You can't stop fate."
I love the part when Shiva tattoos Avanthika's hand, I love the way they connect. And that scene where she's looking for him and he uses the snake so he can tattoo her shoulder, you said "Like lightening the mood, which is really sweet cause everyone's so tourted right now, their spirits are so tourted and it's like he's adding color." I really do love the things you say.
I love it when Shiva and Avanthika first talk and he says "You got a sword in your hand. Not to mention body armor, sparks flying from your eyes. I am not asking about this mask of yours. I want to know the one that is hidden beyond it. Shall I tell you. You are a woman and I am a man. I have come here to love you."
Then we have the scene where he shows Avanthika her reflection in the waterfall and she see's how beautiful she is.
When he gives her back the mask she lost she asks "Did you really scale the mountains to reach me, just for me." Then he says "I came all the way just to see the smile behind this mask."
I love when he helps her, when he says "I also share your obligation." That's what life's all about, just two people being there for one another, taking care of each other, giving everything they have for the one they love.
There were a lot of beautiful women in this movie, Avanthika, the woman with the blue butterfly's, but no one more beautiful than you Imon, you were the most beautiful woman on screen tonight.
In the video you asked if S.S Rajamouli has written any books, you said "It seems that he see's the world in very different type of way, and those types of people are very special." Just like you Imon, I love the way you see the world.
I looked online and there's a book called Bahubali: Battle Of The Bold. by S.S. Rajamouli, Yogesh Chandekar, and Ashwin Pande.

So many comments you made along the way are going to come to fruition when you watch part 2, also. You really picked up on a lot of subtle moments. It's one of the reasons why I enjoyed your "RRR" reaction video so much. Can't wait to see how you feel about part 2! (Which really, IMO, is just the second half of one continuous movie. In my point of view SSRajamouli is just like James Cameroon
Collections wise there may be soo much difference but
They(Cameroon & SSR) have common things
1) Vision
2) Passion towards story (he always thinks about how to improvise story until that movie is completed....there is a video of him that he is explaining the scene on roads that make me understand how passionate on making a movie)
3)Patience offcourse not the level of James Cameroon patience but SSR takes 2 years to make a movie just to make it awesome..
4)he always thinks a scene in the perspective of audience and he only makes movies for theater experience just like Cameroon..
5) Every action scene there is a very big reason behind that to happen which connects to our emotion..
Some facts about SSR :
He made 10 movies overall I think none of them gets flop movies every movie is hit and gets some profits and some even gets biggest profits....
Only thing is he needs to improve is logical fights....i don't like them but emotion makes it ignorable

Vijayendra Prasad (SS Rajamoulis father) is the one with the great story ideas. SS Rajamouli is the one that developes the screenplay out of his fathers story (mostly it seems to be a co-story-wrining and a co-sceenplay-writing, but in the credits the names are sorted mostly with Vijayendra Prasad: story & SS Rajamouli: screenplay).
SS Rajamouli has a movie in his head, before he starts filing, and tries to find ways to get the vision in his head on camera. Besides visuals his second most important director signature is: getting emotions on film. If the viewers can feel the emotions he want´s to bring onto the silver screen, the viewers will be IN the movie, and feel with the charakters.
His vision is inspired from ramayana and Mahabharata and bhavad Geeta rajamouli said the bahubali the father his character is inspired from lord Rama the statue that u see in rrr and also ram character in rrr is also inspired by lord rama
Recommending the Dhoom series for your Indian Cinema list. It's very Fast & Furious with a dash of other crime films (Oceans #s, Entrapment, etc) and quite funny.

Love this movie BUT it has a big problem. Avanthika is introduced as this badass warrior who has her own agency and motivations UNTIL she meets the male protagonist who forcibly dresses her up as a pretty little love interest and steals HER mission for himself. The movie completely forgets about her till the last 10 minutes of movie 2. That's a terrible way to write your lead female character (still better than every woman in Rings Of Power though)
Movie name is "Bahubali" NOT Avantika when they make a movie titled "Avantika" they will ignore Bahubali just like they did against Avantika in this film.

You are partially correct but the movie is focusing on "other" main female leads other than avantika since those "other" women were at the positions of power unlike Avantika.
