Thank you for all the tips and information. Just now hit the "subscribe" button! Ditched all of our "stuff" and are moving to Oahu week after next. Where did you end up after your initial stay in Waikiki? We are starting there...but thinking a move to the windward side soon.
Aloha Dan, congrats on your move and wishing you safe travels next week. We decided to move to the windward side of the island. The beaches and the mountain range makes for a peaceful lifestyle! Let us know how you are settling into the island :)
@@DennyandNikki I only SUPped one time-- Pu'ena Point, Halieva, with Uncle Bryant Surf lessons. Went under Rainbow bridge and saw dozens of honus and baby Hammerheads. Easy paddle. Even tried small surf on the sand bar with the SUP!
It's sooo empty everywhere! I've been visiting the islands since I was a kid and my ex is Hawaiian. Honking is considered RUDE! always let cars in when they are trying to merge and remember the saying "slow down! this ain't the mainland" : )
I'm really wanting to move to maui, or Oahu Hawaii. Single black female, mother of 3 kids 16 11 and a 1 year. I've moved from my hometown VA to FL now in GA. Love showing my kids different things! Never been on a plane tho... I am using my section 8 voucher to relocate, but trying to really figure out which island to come to. Oahu or Maui 🤔🥰
Definitely weird to see the Waikiki area so empty...BUT it's so satisfying to see the world take a break and just take a breath for a couple of years. COVID19 is bad due to so many lives lost but seems like the earth is crying for this needed pause.
Thinking about moving to Hawaii on Monday if not i might just stay here in arizona and get in apartment asap because i cant be around my family they will end up killing me if any one has advice i might being willing to to listen do share
Have you ever been to Hawaii before? We are going to make a video on how to move to Hawaii, so stay tuned for that if you will move at a later time. Feel free to ask any questions you might have!
You seem sweet enough as a couple and this is not an attack, but.... Hawaii is a beautiful place, and everyone wants their piece of something that ONLY native Hawaiians should be entitled to. It’s sad to see people move there and take take take while the native people get pushed out. The children of native Hawaiians deserve their homeland more than foreigners deserve to ignorantly move there not even knowing what a musubi is. Smh.
It’s the mainland culture. People live on “Indian land “ an never think anything of it unless they live near a res. All coming to and especially moving to Hawaii need to be educated on how to respect the locals right of way/ the island itself (aina)/ the history of the islands as it pertains to natives in society today. Good luck to you guys. You’ll probably find everything you need for the first year or so on Kapahulu Ave..ice cream...whatevers. Lock your shit up and out of sight. Stuff walks away....
Hawaiian life looks nice, chill living and beautiful scenery👀🌺
Mahalo! Thanks for watching :)
We went to Hawaii and it is normally much busier. Lots more people around. Can’t wait to move there someday!!!
Yes, tourists are slowly filling up the beaches now though :) Hope you'll make the move to the island someday!

Your blogs are always fun to watch! Mahalo! Maybe you two can try SUP? Good way to take it easy and still get on the water.
Thank you! 🙌 It’s about time we try out SUP, still haven’t done that!

Breathtaking beauty of the Hawaii.. I can only wish for my eyes to see that in the real life..
Thanks for watching. Hawaii will be waiting on you when covid is all over!
Waikiki is usually swarmed with tourist! You got lucky !
So we heard! We were lucky and didn’t even know it 😁

Waikiki is filling back up now though!! And you're right, we are definitely noticing the 'slow down' on the roads here :)
I love your videos!
Thanks! :)
Love Hawaii!!
So do we!
you guys did awesome, I enjoyed watching your video. I went to visit Oahu in 2014, and i've been trying to move there since hahahahah
We are glad you enjoyed it! We might make a video on how to move to Hawaii, so stay tuned :)
4:53, the beach looks beautiful. Which beach or exact location was this?
Aloha! That part of the video is Fort Derussy Beach. There was no one there during Covid!

They are both beautiful! I'd say Oahu has more job opportunities and has the most amenities though. Good luck on the move :)
@@DennyandNikki thank you!

It is incredibly beautiful to see Hawaii with so few people. Especially Hanauma bay has recovered from it.
an important note: honking is usually reserved for emergencies like if someone is about to crash into you or if you need someone to move
I would just get a shovel and a step stool to get those coconuts down, lolololol.
Cries in Iowa
Normally Waikiki has choke people shopping and walking. (choke is pidgin for a lot)
Thanks for the comment! So we heard! Perhaps we are going to experience that ourselves when tourism starts again. Mahalo.
No honking on those main roads, get on those tiny 1.5 lane roads with hairpin turns and EVERYONE lays on their horns!
Have you guys visited lana'i?
No, but it's definitely on our bucket list! Have you been? If so, should we go there?
What’s your rent, and neighborhood? Mahalo.
Rent can range widely on the windward side. Send us an email and we chat a bit more in-depth about it. Mahalo!
Nice job you two. Enjoy. I you find my heart, would you kindly return it to Arizona. I left it there.:) God bless.
Mahalo for watching! Maybe it's better to come back to the islands to search for it. Who knows..you may not leave :)

some people climb the tree to get the coconut
Thanks! We ended up just buying a pruning pole haha
Climb up and cut it down to get your coconut
I definitely have to work on my balance first haha! - Denny

We're definitely hearing the frustrations, from people on the island as well as on youtube. Thanks for responding and watching!
