I honestly think Trident might be canned regardless of what the investigation ends up showing. (Not saying I agree with it, I just really think they will) The amount of negative publicity Jagex has received out of this situation, especially is it related to a moderator dating the biggest DMing leader and even contributing to their CC (Biggest RWT content) outside of the Oda situation. Jagex is notorious for only caving to the general players requests when it effects them financially. All this negative publicity as well as their history with MASSIVELY corrupt Jmods might have their hands tied as to whether or not they could keep him if they desired to. Regardless of Evidence the majority of the public will never trust or support him. Him being the leader of the Anti cheat team while bots are the worst they've ever been is just the cherry on top.
No one trusted them in the first place because of people Like Odablock getting away with breaking the rules, admitting to it on stream, promoting RWT and boosting services. Its honestly two people who both did shitty things but the one who cried victim gets out of it.

to be fair they dont have that many employees working on osrs as far as i know. Most of them work on rs3 and only a small team for osrs. Or at least thats how it used to be.

I had a runescape account years ago. I was level 68 took 3 years of very hard grinding. I made my coin honestly and was a real grinder. Got scammed more my share of times...but on my way to top tier free to play and the only reason I was not member because I was 14 and did not own a credit card or debit card. I was extremely dedicated, and Runecape deleted my account. My user name was Cluker3. I was truly devastated. I stopped playing PC games for 10 years because of it. I still think about it from time to time. It still stings. Long live Cluker3, the last original 11 year old grinder.
He was banned for a valid reason. However, the reasoning for him being flagged is open to legal and is a publicity nightmare so as such the ban should be revoked. Sort of like someone committing a crime but not receiving the fair process and as such the criminal should not be punished.
i hope asmon checks out all the mod jed lore, would be great content to follow up with this situation just to get even more context with why the community was so angry.
I'm still conflicted on Odas reinstatement. In analogy, he is akin to that food burglar who admits to robbing all the fast food joints, save for the pizza shop. Hence in his logic, since he spared the pizza shop, they have no right to demand he not enter their store. He did cheat openly. ( I use that term loosely). Admitting to cheating on all accounts save for Omar account. For some reason, this makes him innocent.

Funny enough, him talking about the whole "Dating a staff employee and getting someone banned for it" Has happened many of times in other game companies. A great example is Destiny 2 with Bungie. A female streamer is dating one the game director and she banned requested multiple bans. Even the day before a streamer got banned that she had falsely accused them of doing many of things, the game director at the time said some cryptic stuff about taking out the trash. It happens more than you would realize
Oda has a double digit IQ, but he is still the most ruthless, mechanically gifted PVPer that can risk 50.000$ and not even shake or sweat. He thrives in those situations. Im so happy he gets to continue to play OSRS since I love watching his PK

To get an account to the point where you could effectively pvp would take about roughly 700-900 hours of in game time. If you're actually grinding for that gear it takes a good decent amount of time because of RNG loot tables with bosses/raids so that would add significantly more time that I could not estimate. A majority of the gear being put up is pretty much end game gear but can be bought or sold through other players, however with risk fighting you're putting up matching amounts of risk and you can effectively double/triple/quadruple your bank value with a win and just buy all that gear off the market/from players.
One thing to point out is if Mod Trident received money from Stella, under UK law that could constitute to fraud and falls under anti-bribery laws. So i imagine, this is one complexity that will require a lot of investigation especially if the cyber police are involed.
I think oda should have remained banned. He has a long history of violating the rules over and over on multiple accounts. He shows that he doesnt respect the rules at all. This excuse of "Oh I only cheated on my other 12 accounts but not on my main! You shouldn't ban my main!" is such a stupid defense. So what? IF you want to cheat in a game you just make other accounts and have no repercussions on your main? That is stupid. No other game company operates like that. That just incentivizes cheating. Usually you get all your accounts banned or straight up an IP ban in 99% of these cases. Just look at the Faze moron in Fortnite who showed off cheats on his "alt account" and then didn't expect his main to get banned. It's such a stupid loophole that people try to abuse. If you cheat on any of your accounts, all your accounts should be banned. You clearly show any disregard to fairness in the game and the terms of service. It doesn't matter if you do it only on other accounts.

I think oda should have remained banned. He has a long history of violating the rules over and over on multiple accounts. He shows that he doesnt respect the rules at all. This excuse of "Oh I only cheated on my other 12 accounts but not on my main! You shouldn't ban my main!" is such a stupid defense. So what? IF you want to cheat in a game you just make other accounts and have no repercussions on your main? That is stupid. No other game company operates like that. That just incentivizes cheating. Usually you get all your accounts banned or straight up an IP ban in 99% of these cases. Just look at the Faze moron in Fortnite who showed off cheats on his "alt account" and then didn't expect his main to get banned. It's such a stupid loophole that people try to abuse. If you cheat on any of your accounts, all your accounts should be banned. You clearly show any disregard to fairness in the game and the terms of service. It doesn't matter if you do it only on other accounts.
