I never expected this. Chopin Ballades are forever the best
I like no. 3 :D
I love them all
this is the worst imo lol
I like no.3 the most
For me I like no 3 the most. However, I’d say no 1 is the most raw in its emotion but they all are INCREDIBLY EMOTIONAL and these are just my opinions. and no 4 is the most developed. And no 3 and no 2 just have a special place in my heart
A few days later you drop another Ballade... godlike!
🤩🤩
Hell yeah
Traum: Plays 1st ballade
Me: Oh that's nice, but I don't think he'll play all of them, right?
Traum: Plays 2nd ballade
Me: *Dies in ballade no. 4 hype*
Me too!
I've never undertsand why people loves Ballade No.4 by Chopin. Would you explain me why you love the Ballade No.4?
@@KodasGOD ruclips.net/video/7tmQSWuYwrI/видео.html
vCodas idk, but all I know is that after I played the first one I skipped to the fourth because I simply couldn’t wait. I think it might be because the piece captures almost every emotion but still ends tragically like the first.
vCodas Listen to it a few times and it will click
3:18 Abrupt and unexpected pause
3:42 Expecting the grand finale, doesn't happen
3:57 Expecting the grand finale again, but again doesn't happen.
4:11 You think it's there, but then 4:25.
5:04 There it is!
Chopin just moved us to the edge of our seat and back for 4 consecutive times. Superb composition.
That pause at 3:18 is one of my favorite moments in classical music. It just reinforces the "somethings not right" vibe of the piece without playing a note. Brilliant.

I love the quiet and relaxed main theme, I love the contrast made by the 2nd theme and I love how they slowly but surely fuse togheter, and then the Coda arrives
Right, the Coda is just amazing.

The coda hits real hard, although this Ballade is my least favorite it still has a really big place in my heart
Well said
I wasn't a Ballade No 2 Fan, but now i like it a Lot, i can't stop to hear it man. Thx for upload this beautiful piece.

Ah yes Chopin's 2nd Ballade, a piece dedicated to Schumann. Although in his own words he said "It's not as ingenious as the first one."
In my opinion this ballade is better than the first
@@lucaszflenki4552 probably because u like , this kinda epic vibe from this ballade , the first one is rathee emotional
rather*
@@rash3732 i agree
it's not hard to see why. The first one is far more large-scale than this. Many more themes and variations of themes. This is simply melody A, melody B, then both melodies returning but slightly different, and the return of melody B comes attached with a coda. That's simplifying it a lot but hopefully it makes sense lol. The first by contrast has a much more interesting structure. A lot more to it both musically, and emotionally (which makes sense, because it's also a good few minutes longer).
At this rate, Gaspard de la nuit will arrive before the next year.
LOL he/she'll all of Galops by Liszt
Is that a good thing or bad? Can’t tell 🤣

I never heard completely the no. 2 before. I underestimate this piece because in the begining it sound really slow and the vibes not like the other three. This is the first time i heard this piece completely after i overwhelmed love with number 1, 3, and 4. And i just realized this one is way above my expectations. And yeah, chopin's ballade are my fav pieces all the time. Thanks Traum for the amazing performance! :D

Ballade No.2 is underrated
real
I made a short story about this piece
0:06 I am going to sleep, 0:51 and I start turing off the lights, 1:47 I’m getting cozy in my bed, 2:07 I heard some noise in my closet 2:12 I saw a black figure in my closet, 2:32 it’s getting closer, 2:42 and now I can’t move, I am stuck, 3:03 then suddenly woke up in my living room, 3:07 I’m happy that is just a dream, 4:12 I suddenly hear some footstep, 4:26 it is just my mom, 4:56 I check the time, 4:59 it’s 11;00 I will go the sleep then, 5:04 while go to me room I have a feeling someone is watching me, 5:17 once opened the door I saw the same monster in my dream, 5:50 the monster smiles at me with a creepy face ,5:54 the monster starts running at me with a knife, at 6:26 i tripped , 6:29 the monster is about to stab me ,6:33 i accept my death
6:44 i woke up in my living room again
6:48 something is off
6:57 the monster opens the door and says
It will forever be a dream
7:05 and I loses my consciousness
ショパンのバラードも、みんな好きです。一番は最もポピュラーですが、この二番も変化に富んだ名曲ですね。演奏も素晴らしくて、感動いたしました。有り難うございます。
Hey Traum! Excellent performance as always, I can't stop rewatching it, honestly.
I just had a thought that it'd be really neat if you personally left a comment on your uploads explaining your own personal thoughts about the piece in question. Like maybe what makes the pieces special, what it's (allegedly) about or inspired by, and what your favourite moments are. I'm personally really interested in your thoughts because often the performer has very unique insights into the pieces he has performed. Hope you give this a thought because I think it'd be really cool! Thanks as always for this blessing of a channel 👍

It is inconceivable that one of the best renditions of Ballade 2 EVER comes from an anonymous RUclipsr...
The "anonymous" is in fact a World Class Concert Pianist. Traum only started this channel when all public performances were cancelled due to Covid lockdown.
Been watching this several times daily for the past week. So good. This is SOOOO underrated. That coda is tres magnifique. Right now, it's my favorite coda.

Op 25 no 12
@@T-J-S I agree
Not going to hate, I liked the performance but I must admit that there is one thing that ruined your playing traum. You didn't time the notes correctly in the calm parts and you didn't get the pure, heavenly sound that those parts require. Also, I think that the phrasing on the fuoco needed to be brighter on the left hand for the sound to be complete. This is my personal opinion and I'm in no way hating on traum,he is a a really great pianist, probably one of the best on RUclips at the moment.
Shut up, you can't do it.
Ikr it just sounds kinda bland
Ngl, I’m glad someone else noticed😅
Are you taking about the delay of the left hand? Its Just interpretation and the pianists used to play this way years ago, now they play whit thr two hands on the same time
Sounds like personal preference tbh.
5:49 - 6:36 gives me the chills every time
One pianist to rule them all!
And the first of his kind to record this marvelous piece. Thank you Traum!Your music make me dream!

2:14 : it likes coda
3.05 : slow melody again
5:16 : coda
5:53 : (in coda) reapeted notes
6:27 : (in coda) very hard
Thank you!
Thank you!
Actually the "very hard" is not the hardest... The drop before the repeated notes with the double trills seems much harder to me

Chopin easiest classical composer to get into. He knows how to get to peoples emotions. I always recommend his works first to my friends for them to start listening to classical music.

So true. It literally shows pure anxiety next to pure peace.
This coda gives me goosebumps!!!
It might be comforting to the rest of us pianists if you pre-recorded all of these videos a year in advance, and are just posting them all back to back now?
Finally someone that plays more than one chopin ballade
Thank you so much for playing this piece!
My favorite coda from all ballades. Loved how you performed it.
In my mind, the Chopin Ballades from most to least difficult would probably be 4, 1, 2, 3. This is all subjective mind you, as each could be classified in the advance level. Great performance as always!
Bruh this guy is pumping out, extremely difficult pieces pretty much every single day.....this is next level even for masters
I've never actually listened to the 2nd or 3rd, thank you for sharing! Also, in the future, I would love to hear some Chopin preludes. I'm currently learning them right now, and I know your rendition will be the very best :)

This is my favourite ballade from Chopin! Loved your interpretation 🥰
The way he returns to the refrain is just so amazing in my eyes! Feels like the refrain always played in the background and suddenly it got back in the spotlight. Chopin was, is and will be the best composer forever 🤩
You cleaned house with this! Well done! It's so much better at this steady tempo. Also, by flattening out the voicing in the melody a bit you bring up the middle. It's also less heavily painted by the long standing indulgences of rubato that so many pianists over use.
It's clean, fresh, and youthful in its energy! Bravo, maestro!
Consider it shared on Twitter.
I really love this ballade because of the contrast between the beautifully calm melody and the intense parts. The coda is one of my favorites of the ballades. Beautiful performance! I wonder, will we be getting a performance of Liszt’s Totentanz on piano? 😂 That’s one of my favorite Liszt pieces, and I would love to see it on a visual piano style! :)
I loves his every insane sections in 4 ballads
legend
To me I feel like ballade no 1 was chopins attempt of escaping life, fate and ballade no 2 like his anger, sadness and inspiration for someone or something, ballade no 3 I feel is like a mask of happiness to cover the feelings of sadness and depression which I think is felt in ballade no 4 as well as a bit of anger and happiness amongst it
