For life haha the tricks the times the tunes the clothes the atiitude the STYLE from buitlt to spill to the 13 minutes of fully flared madness. A true MasterClass
I have a short story to tell ,and I hope I can use this plattform to say something to Marc. I grew up skating with him in Winston-Salem, and in Greensboro. If my memory serves me right,he lived Marion NC before that.Once my best friend at the time was on the flow list for Think Skateboards. We had planned to drive to Marc to go skating, and spend the night at his house.Something or another went wrong and for reasons I can't remember,we could not drive up.I know Marc spent a good part of the day cleaning up for a sleep over and waiting for us to come. I am not sure if we even communicated properly, and we left him hanging, which troubles me almost 30 years later.Marc, I know NC was not always easy, and I just want to apologize from my heart for not showing up that day,I'm sorry man...Remembering what is like to be young and excited, friends sleeping over.90's skateboarding on warm summer nights, the locust buzzing in the trees.Watching skate videos, and the smell of dinner when going inside....Those things..... Watching you skate is more like poetry.I knew you would become an inspiration for all skaters on this lonely planet..Love you man.
Wow? Such a nice story brother Can't imagine how you feel about that! I'm sure that marc doesn't have any anger against you or something like that, but you are so lucky for say that you were friend of a really inspirational legend bro! I'm on the new wave skaters and marc its like an icon for us
This is my favorite skate part of all time. It's the combinations of his flow.. his imagination.. the actual execution of what he envisions.., and (of course) one great tune that brings it all together :) Timeless.
yeah the fakie tre out is another one burned into my memory. I think it's the way the board stays perfectly flat on its axis with pop and catch. Also that speed would terrify me haha
I don't know why he doesn't get mentioned in people's top ten? He's so freaking good! Definitely one of the goats. People also forget he was a gnarly alcoholic for a long time and didn't sober up until the last part of his skate career.
I wish people would get this meme right! It goes: Hey Marc, are you going to do high-speed classics with perfect style for your part, or NBDs? Marc: Yes. Yes I am.
Damn he did the back noseblunt nollie back heel out!! I remember koston trying that in the menikmati or yeah right extras I believe well I think he lands one super sketchy.
Perfect balance between casual and epic. This video part cured my depression. Might sound exaggerated but for me this is top 3 video parts of all time just behind Appelyard´s Sorry and Gonz´s Video Days.
All the fat skinny people MJ is my all time favorite, this part gives me the chills everytime. The way his foot flicks out of the backlip to backtail kickflip out…STYLE
I think we stopped seeing MJ video parts cuz every part shows such mastery. I really preferred the Tilt mode days with Jerry and Louie cuz they were fun over mastery. One funny thing I picked out is nose grind 3shuv 5-0 seems like something we should have seen Rodney do, we've all seen him do it as manual combo in the [think it was] Globe video.
marc johnson should come down to imperial county theres mad spots and i can give a tour of the spots i also skateboard so if he would bring a videotaper would be nice
i know skateboarding did a lot of progress the last few years but it seems like every proskater nowdays just does his 10 to 15 tricks for their career and thats it. a nollie 270 flip to sw back lip seems easier than a flatground kickflip. some cant even land a shuv it in a game of skate -.-

Even by 2023 standards, this part is insane!!! 💯
If anything this was the tipping point for an entire generation.
Even by 2030 standards, this part will be insane!!
Timeless
Mark has been blowing my mind for three decades now. What a dude!
Marc Johnson is easily one of the greatest to ever do it.
I’m at work at work right now and had to stop because I remembered I had to watch this one more time for the millionth time.
Thanks for stopping by 😂
A marc Johnson part will no go old. I don’t care how skateaboarding progresses his footage will always be mind blowing
For life haha the tricks the times the tunes the clothes the atiitude the STYLE from buitlt to spill to the 13 minutes of fully flared madness. A true MasterClass
It’s just a reminder who’s the OG

@@allenrivaschasco9935 Thanks for your heart felt words brother.
He's not going to see this.
this part gets me stoked on skating, unlike any other part.
One of my favorite skaters ever and One of the best technical skaters of all time, such a classic part
Some skate, others write poetry with their board.
His tricks are so clean and he has his own style that is just so cool🤙
Your god damn right Eldridge
How poetic
Yea man. MJ is slick as they come! 👌🏼
Agreed, a true artist, one of the most graceful muh’fkz to ever roll
I keep coming back to this one.
One of the best parts of all time
The best style that will ever be, a true master of his craft, and an explorer of real expression
This is my favorite skate part of all time. It's the combinations of his flow.. his imagination.. the actual execution of what he envisions.., and (of course) one great tune that brings it all together :)
Timeless.
This dude embodies skateboarding in every sense of the word
This inspired me to skate when I was younger
I wish he would keep skating and putting out parts more. He’s one of my favorites.
I remember watching this when it came out and how blown away i was
This guy's makes skateboarding as beautiful as it can be
This was the first video part to make me cry when I saw it at the priemere. It was just so beautiful 😭😂
His fully flared part was it for me.
God what style !!!!
This is y Marc Johnson has been my fav skater since I stepped foot on a board back in 7th grade 1997 👌🔥💯
Same, but about a year earlier!
@@AlexNiedt same 6th grade Fall of 97 , time flys by.
Same,2 years later profile 411 vm best of 4,still my fav
His 411vm profile with The Promise Ring song... that was my first MJ part. Epic.
i come back to watch this at least 3 times a week
I've been watching Marc since Maple 🍁. Welcome to flavor country!
I dont know what part is better this or fully flared. Both so sick. The way he pops off of nose and 5-0's in the middle of the bar. So much style
This is my favorite MJ part. It’s the best display of his trick selection and style. I wish he stayed on lakai
Still can't handle the perfection at 0:22 and the beauty of tre flip out at 0:44
Dude I know😂 it may look simple but it’s soooo good
At this point it’s just art
That was fakie tre
yeah the fakie tre out is another one burned into my memory. I think it's the way the board stays perfectly flat on its axis with pop and catch. Also that speed would terrify me haha
Such a legend! One of the greatest skateboarders of all time!
I don't know why he doesn't get mentioned in people's top ten? He's so freaking good! Definitely one of the goats. People also forget he was a gnarly alcoholic for a long time and didn't sober up until the last part of his skate career.
Hey Marc how many NBDs you want for your part?
Marc: Yes
Cesar Wyde lol
I wish people would get this meme right! It goes:
Hey Marc, are you going to do high-speed classics with perfect style for your part, or NBDs?
Marc: Yes. Yes I am.
@@Rufusdos You're not even referencing the same meme . OP is referencing the one where it's an insane number so you just say, "yes"
Seven steps to Heaven
Truly on of the best tech skaters to ever do it! So smooth. Marc has always been one of my favorite skaters. Style for days!
One of the best to do it! Wonder what Marc’s up to these days
Favorite skater since his part in best of 411 volume 4 which is my first skate vid,the best style in history and a technical beast ❤
Very cool! Rodney Mullen is my Skate King. See a little bit of Rodney style in this. Very cool man
Damn he did the back noseblunt nollie back heel out!! I remember koston trying that in the menikmati or yeah right extras I believe well I think he lands one super sketchy.
WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?! if I saw that part when I was still skating, that would've been my morning motivation part. Fuck yeah Marc Johnson
All-time favorite skater.
modus operandi was the first time I saw Marc and man he never disappoints no matter when I look back
The bail at 2:19 made my day.
This part brings me harmony within myself
It really does.
Perfect balance between casual and epic. This video part cured my depression. Might sound exaggerated but for me this is top 3 video parts of all time just behind Appelyard´s Sorry and Gonz´s Video Days.
Insane then insane now 🔥
Maestro ...
Timeless 😮🚀🔥👌

Me too. Life was so much simpler
Masterpiece!
Marc Johnson and Heath Kirchart are my favorite skaters of all time
My brain hurt like a warehouse It had no room to spare
He is an artist
Some part this , deffo different to his fully flared one , but I prefer this.
Even seasoned skateboarders will never comprehend the difficulty of the blunt slide variations.
time flies man
When he won SoTY I didn't understand why. But this proves it well.
He makes it look so easy.
Always! And forever me fave sk8r!

Goddamn you forget how amazing this guy is even by today's standards. Proper
Fuckin MJ man, a GOAT if ever there was one.
his skating is so much cleaner when he’s sober
I wonder what his board set up is….
So. Damn. Good.
Este es mi vídeo parte favorita que bueno que la volvieron a subir bowie de fondo ou shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit 😎😎👌
If mark had hair he’d def be one of the best to ever do it
Fire song for a video. Johnson RIPS

ya MARC still have a green chocolate 7.75 from 2005 with your name on the underside of it ...still has POP..and sweet vid part ...
He makes it look so easy 😳😳😳
Can we bring this clothing style back? Dressed like a normal human being with close that fit appropriately with a touch of class.
You most certainly can, doesn’t matter what everyone else is doing
@@gfeast4518 Always been my motto 🤙
2:58 that moment when Bowie sings FIVE but Marc shows TWO like he knows better
