Here is my take as both a big eminem fan and sort of a fan of some of mgks stuff. This is gonna be a long one but hope you guys hear me out. I think MGK won. Rap Devil is a diss track about how eminem went out of his way to keep mgk down - which he did by banning mgk from his sirius xm station and other banned artists signed to em's label from featuring with or for mgk. The whole premise of the song is "dude you are the goat and so far above me and literally from a different generation of rap and music why are you coming after little guys like me?" Eminem responded with Killshot. Lyrically em did what em does - his rhyme scheme and flow were on point and had bar after bar lyrically eviscerating mgk. But what was the point of killshot? The whole premise of the song is em saying "im the fucking goat and you are so far beneath me imma keep kill your career" which in retrospect quite literally proves the point that MGK made with his track. People that say em won are focusing on his lyricism and flow. Of course he came up with more complex and goated rhyme schemes - hes the goat and he built his entire brand around complex double and triple entendres. But being smart and more lyrically skilled doesnt mean you won an argument - having better points does. MGK was right - eminem is the goat and did keep his career down. Then eminem came in and said "yep and imma keep keepin it down"

MGK got black balled due to a tweet to Hailey saying something like "You are hot AF, but I mean this most respectfully cuz Eminem is king.". Putting aside the specifics and details to the context of MGK vs Eminem beef and diss, outside this context Eminem has shadow banned and black balled other white rappers from working in Shade 45 or Interscope, any other white rapper that would threaten to take the limelight away from him, so partly MGK does have a point here. The exception here is Yellow wolf, but that's a weak objection because he's a frelance rapper himself, he isn't working in shade 45 or interscope, so the features between him and Eminem weren't within their business but are collabs. Also, MGK technically has a point with Em's jealousy, MGK is similar to the younger version of slim shady, just more musically talented with the guitar and rock and singing, among other skills he can do. Just talented overall musically plus rapping. It's hard not to say one person ain't gonna be jealous a lot or a little in regards to MGK.

I have to disagree, Eminem killed MGK. Eminem addressed everything in the 1st minute of his diss and then just went in on him the rest of the diss.
Here is my take as both a big eminem fan and sort of a fan of some of mgks stuff. This is gonna be a long one but hope you guys hear me out. I think MGK won.
Rap Devil is a diss track about how eminem went out of his way to keep mgk down - which he did by banning mgk from his sirius xm station and other banned artists signed to em's label from featuring with or for mgk. The whole premise of the song is "dude you are the goat and so far above me and literally from a different generation of rap and music why are you coming after little guys like me?"
Eminem responded with Killshot. Lyrically em did what em does - his rhyme scheme and flow were on point and had bar after bar lyrically eviscerating mgk. But what was the point of killshot? The whole premise of the song is em saying "im the fucking goat and you are so far beneath me imma keep kill your career" which in retrospect quite literally proves the point that MGK made with his track.
People that say em won are focusing on his lyricism and flow. Of course he came up with more complex and goated rhyme schemes - hes the goat and he built his entire brand around complex double and triple entendres. But being smart and more lyrically skilled doesnt mean you won an argument - having better points does. MGK was right - eminem is the goat and did keep his career down. Then eminem came in and said "yep and imma keep keepin it down"

The fact the eminems only response to this was I sell more records and metaphors was a clear indication Eminem didn't want to stay on the topic because he knew MGK had more ammo. Kill shot was and probably always will be eminems worst diss track and maybe his only loss in his rap career.

I been saying that MGK won this battle, he sounds like he actually knows who he's dissing and felt like he got something to say whereas Em's Killshot was mostly generic clever shots but it wasn't with the raw intentions and factual statements delivered in Rap Devil. And I'm a fan of both, Em and MGK are both in my top 5, but MGK won this. To those who are saying he switched genres, he never left, do your research, he's just a very talented, versatile artist

My opinion: Rap devil was a better Diss. Killshot was better lyrically. As in, MGK went for broke, went for Em’s throat, it was straight disrespect. Which is what a diss track should be. Eminem’s Killshot was more him showing I’m a better Lyricist and showing it. There was some disses, but as what happens when the you go second in a battle, it was a lot of Eminem just flipping his lines and rebutting everything MGK said.

Putting aside the specifics and details to the context of MGK vs Eminem beef and diss, outside this context Eminem has shadow banned and black balled other white rappers from working in Shade 45 or Interscope, any other white rapper that would threaten to take the limelight away from him, so partly MGK does have a point here. The exception here is Yellow wolf, but that's a weak objection because he's a frelance rapper himself, he isn't working in shade 45 or interscope, so the features between him and Eminem weren't within their business but are collabs.
Also, MGK technically has a point with Em's jealousy, MGK is similar to the younger version of slim shady, just more musically talented with the guitar and rock and singing, among other skills he can do.
