Bunch of mistakes here... 1. Crimea was not part of Alexanders empire. 2. The Mauryan Empire was not founded until 320 BC. 3. 11:16 Alexanders firstborn son with Roxana was Alexander IV., with Alexander "the great" himself actually being the third of his name. Alexander II. was actually his uncle.
Or divided by many pretenders who attack each other and then invaded by Rome, like in our time line. The only difference maybe his empire would last longer in this alternative history
Yo were the Mauryans of North Western Indian origin or were they from the Magadha region? I have been stalking ur page nd u seem to know a lot about this so I'm interest in ur opinion
I know this is alternate history but no, Alexander wouldn't win against Chandragupta Maurya on the later's home turf. Especially not while Chandragupta had Kautilya as an advisor. And Alexander didn't control anything near to all of the Punjab.
Are we sure about it. If Alexander set his sight on something. He cannot be stop. Alexander would muster up new army using both greek, sogdian and persian resources. We probarly talking about army 5 times bigger than he used to conquer the persian Empire.
Yes but do you understand who Persia was? The Persian Achaemenid Empire was the worlds first superpower which held 44% of world population (current largest India holds 17.5%) and 50% of world GDP (current largest America holds 24%) and in these stats alone no one has ever seen a greater empire ever before or ever after. No empire before it was even half its size and it would take another thousand years for anyone to surpass it in size (yes even Macedonian Empire ran 300,000km2 short of the Persian Empire). It had an army of 2.5 million men which (larger than the largest today being China at 2 million men). And Alexander the Great took all of this on with 40,000 men who were once former sheperds who had been bullied around by other greek states. Alexander literally did the impossible. Its something like a tiny country like my own, Sri Lanka, taking a couple tens of thousands of famers training them and invading USA at the height of its power and in some miracle somehow defeating and taking over the entire country. If I said Sri Lanka will beat USA with a bunch of farmers youll laugh, everyone will laugh, hell even i will cause the idea is ridiculous. Same thing when Alexander said they will beat Persia, but difference is he did it.
