Shopping Plaza Left Abandoned After Connecticut River Flood Damage 2024 Explored Restaurants & Bar

The river flooded several shops, and the businesses were forced to close. There is a river that flows along the backside of this plaza that with heavy rains rose enough to destroy the banks of the river and flood basements. This happened in August 0f 2024 in CT.
Most of the products and equipment were removed in order to salvage what they could. There were also several long trash bins out front because most of the items were water damaged.
I explored a couple of restaurants and what used to be a beauty parlor. One restaurant had a lunch counter with swivel stools. I love that old fashion type lunch counter.
Another restaurant had some scary decorations in the basement. They were for Christmas mostly, but the headless Santa Claus gave me Halloween vibes. It was creepy to see in the basement of an unfamiliar place.
There was a Christmas tree also as well as a small scarecrow toy and a ragged looking stuffed squirrel toy animal.
The upstairs was a very nice restaurant and bar with full bar. I could have sat down and had a drink if I wanted LOL. I always make it a point not to damage or take anything though. The place was in such good shape I made sure I was quick and didn't touch anything.
I heard that the buildings are in good shape and can be saved. They just need to be cleaned out and hopefully the business owners will get back in business soon.
