Plus there's some things that are wrong due to how the people in charge of translating stuff from Japanese to English took some liberties that screwed up certain characters, like Susie.
One of my favorite things said about Kirby lore is: "You can dive as deep as you want, but it's perfectly fine if you don't care, because Kirby doesn't either."
I still love how there was a game theory video trying to paint Kirby as an eldritch horror and Kirby fans simply responded “we know”

He does it again in your last fight with him but the real meta knight shows you he's fake and he reverts to his normal colors before starting his 2nd boss fight with you

The Kirby universe is like a post-post-apocalyptic universe. Kirby is the one thing stopping things from getting worse.
If Kirby was in the 40K universe, he'd walk into the Eye of Terror, beat up Slaanesh for waking him up from his nap, then simply leave, closing the Eye behind him. The galaxy would be at peace within a month.
After Star Allies Kirby could probably quell the entire warp with his friend hearts, returning it to the tranquil afterlife it once was and high-five'ing the emperor after smacking Abaddon around a bit.

In Kirby: Planet Robobot, one of the pause screen descriptions describes Kirby as "The round, pink life-form from Planet Popstar who possesses infinite power and can inhale enemies to copy their abilities."
The Arena mode description in the Japanese version of Kirby Super Star calls Kirby "The Pink Demon." :D

I mean, honestly, and this may be a hot take: there's no legitimately BAD Kirby game. Sure there's some that may be plenty less stellar than others, but when you get down to it, there's enough good design, gameplay, and overall effort to say that there's not a bad game. Not top of the charts good, but not bad enough to legitimately say "avoid this game at all costs"

I genuinely wanna know what prompted Nintendo and HAL to take Kirby in the direction of defeating Eldritch horrors. This franchise could have easily stayed entirely saccharine with a low conflict level, and nobody would have batted an eye, but instead we have Kirby eventually becoming seen as one of Video Gamings heaviest hitters with all the absurd stuff that happens in Dreamland.
Reality being undone by some cosmic power is the usual Friday for Kirby fights
Apparently, the new director who took up the creation of Kirby games (after Masahiko Sakurai) is a fan of Eldritch horror.
I don't know if the two things are related, but it's pretty likely that
Shinya Kumazaki becoming director of the kirby franchise.
To be fair, the advent of Kumazaki pretty much just led the series in a direction its early phase had already suggested, as evidenced by Sakurai's incorporation of Marx's boss fight in Smash Ultimate and how he needed to tone the horror DOWN from the initial planning stages.
Shinichi Shimomura was the Director that really brought Kirby down the Eldritch Horror route with the introduction of the Dark Matter Trilogy with Kirby's Dreamland 2 (GB, 1995), Kirbys's Dreamland 3 (SNES, 1997) and Kirby 64 (N64, 2000). In these games Dark Matter was a possessive force that had the potential to twist the bodies of its victims like turning King Dedede into a giant eyeball in all three games. Also the leader of Dark Matter is Zero a giant eyeball which is known for bleeding profusely when you hit it in the final boss fight in both Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64.
The thing is Director Shimomoura directed Kirby "Dreamland" games around the time Masahiro Sakurai directed Kirby SuperStar, Smash Bros and Kirby Air Ride so his work gets overlooked because people assumed Sakurai worked on the former three games as well. The Strange thing about Shimomura is that he left HAL offices one day in 2002 and no one heard from him since. Or if they have, no one at HAL during that time has spoken of it in 22 years.

So cuxtaku if you ever wonder why Kirby was the only character that survived galleem's attack at the start of smash bros ultimate, Kirby is pretty much a god, he just chooses to be lazy most of the time, I doubt there's many capable of beating him when he puts his mind to it

Minor correction to Star Dreams lore that actually makes it creepier in my opinion: it harbors no malice towards living things. When Susie ripped the helmet off Haltmann, it caused an error that caused it to relentlessly pursue Haltmanns wish for endless prosperity. Without the Helmet, Haltmanns brain got destroyed and Star Dream is just replaying the final order it got while ignoring all future inputs

Nux, I have a theory that plays into something you said. It might tie things together. (it could also be me grasping at straws.)
You mentioned how Kirby is a positive void star being controlled by the player. And how Kirby is the gamer's positive emotions made manifest in the world. What if; the void stars Kirby faces off against so often are themselves puppets for some outer dimensional being just like Kirby is? What if the void stars are the negative emotions made manifest by a "anti-player"? To take from page out of Undertale, what if all those void stars that Kirby faces off against are just other players' genocide runs? Or, maybe it is even worse and it is the players own genocide run?

The biggest thing that video leaves out in my opinion is the characterization of Meta Knight. Right in his first appearance, he's somehow both friend and foe. He sometimes appears to give Kirby powerful and helpful items, yet he also sends waves of his underlings after you and eventually challenges you himself, to make sure you're ready for the finale. This paints him as pretty pragmatic and morally grey and explains why he helps out a lot, but is sometimes seen as cruel because his motives are easily misunderstood. Same goes for Dedede who in the same game, Kirby's Adventure, seals away a nightmare entity with the cost of robbing Dreamlanders of their sleep entirely. Kirby of course only knows of the second fact and thinks Dedede is messing around again when in fact he's trying to atone for stealing his people's food earlier by preventing the rise of this dangerous being.
