I remember getting this game for the weekend at a local rental store - none of us were good enough to get past Sonata without cheating, but man was it something else. Years later, I got the Sonic Mega Collection on Gamecube, unlocked this gem, and beat it all on my own. The ending credit sequence alone was worth the ride.
In elementary school my friend traded me this sega for a spider man game(I think lol) but I had to use that cheat code password to get to the final boss lol. I also had a sega genesis 3 with the controller switch so you can hold a button down spam a attack lol. Use to spam his grab hit the wall to avoid the final boss from pullin ya into the gravity pull thing lol Good times classic !! And yes the ending was worth it

I have only played Ristar for once on the Sega Genesis Collection for the PSP. I didn't got into it but i love the Soundtrack alot. Sega really knows how to make music and you really know how to remix old ones. I loved this remix.

In terms of gameplay I felt like Ristar failed to match its kinetic big brother Sonic, but I absolutely remembered this world of the game for the visuals and music alone. Really glad I found this remix, the track is so stand out that I still hum it to myself despite not revisiting Ristar in years.
