Valerie anything is possible with modding, hell you could change everything about the game except MAYBE the engine it runs on. So, if you (and I’m not a modder only did 3D modeling and animation so take this explanation with a grain of salt) change the properties of the poyo so that it only needs a minimum of 2 and change their GUI or sprits to match the pills and then add the music in there you go. You can even reuse the dead poyo to make them the viruses and then send them to robotnik/eggman

Not that I think you take request, but I've got one I'd love to hear a cover of and it's a little obscure: Track 1 from the Data East game Toki no Sugiyuku Mama Ni from the Tantei Junguuji Saburou series (might be credits music, but I'm not sure). I think that one would be up your alley for sure. I happened across the music and can't find hardly any information about the game, but this track is really smooth.

No, that’s 100% possible, and mania modders just have other things to work on than modifying puyo puyo slightly.
