I knew a guy that used to do this all the time, never paid for fuel for years, probably still does it. Land Cruiser smelt like a fish and chip shop.

Transits run fine on on 50/50 mix veg oil and clean diesel, if you can be bothered to wait a week and mix the oil with methanol and lye it turns the oil to the same viscosity as diesel and will run with no issues at all. The new mk8 transit will run perfectly on biofuel, Ford even announced this in 2018 giving fleet owners the option to go green on there fuel. Common rails will run on it but has to be the right consistency. Every tank of bio I use I add diesel fuel system cleaner to it (redex) bio will act as tank cleaner and draw any sediment through. I run the 1st 500 miles then changed the fuel filter ran another 500 and did it again buy that time I’m pretty sure it’s cleaned out what it was going to clean out and have best part of 5000 miles on my 2.4 mk7 tipper using bio.
Looking at getting an old sh#tbox so I can experiment with just straight oil.

Hello. I accidentally came across your video and was immediately impressed by what you mentioned about Ukraine. Yes I'm from ukraine. And, yes, I use sunflower oil as fuel for my van. I agree with you that it is much cheaper than diesel and has the same result except for the smell. In the winter, for normal engine start, I use fuel filter heating, so I'm fine even at temperatures 10-15 degrees Celsius below zero.
Don't go near the rivers, Shell/BP might follow you.
Eventually veg will gum up your pistons rings, it's starts with excessive blowby and then low compression. It may start on one cylinder or several. You will also start noticing that your sump oil level rises as veg starts to blow past rings and into crankcase. It starts to congeal in your engine oil and block oil filters. Been messing with veg for 5 years now it does work but there are drawbacks. You need the right injection pump, twin tank system and heat exchange for a start if you want to run it long-term. You can mix 20 percent petrol in to thin it out but you will get vapour lock if you also heat it. Otherwise just run it on a banger you don't care about until it dies.
That's what an engine cleaner is for ;-)

@@westendinventor364 well I could rave all day long but i was introduced to this stuff when i bought a bone yard engine that had smoke, lifter knocks and ran and sounded like crap the old man next door said relax because i was mad as hell and he knew i busted my ass getting that little 4.3 into that s10 he said go make a sandwich and allow me to put this stuff in a jar in your oil if it don't work I will buy you a new engine, at that point I didn't hear anything but food lol so a half hr later, I went out I am like' OK start it, and that old long hair guy looks me dead in the eye's and said, ITS RUNNING! you want to find out about something that just isn't on the market and you want me to tell the world lol If I did that, Id make the video myself and get the check myself lol but if you want some and are willing to pay cod for it? I will send you a jar with a video of me putting it in my car but never put it in a small engine it doesn't work well with those either way up to you, not to many people got the balls to try something that actually works they want to use Lucas and that shit is fricken GARBAGE in my book it is no better than NO Smoke lol
@@kellymiller9273 I think I understood some of that.. Whatever product you use to "Clean" the engine that is mixed in with the oil it will have no effect on gummed up rings as no oil gets to the upper rings. The only additives that work are added to the fuel tank as they are then sprayed into the combustion chamber and subsequently the rings. The only thing I found to work on gummed rings is Acetone, poured directly into the cylinder and left for several days.
i have heard and read alot about thining it out with 20-30 percent kerosene have you ever tried it or have any knolage about it?

I sold the van on ..... it ran fine and was a good van, but didn't use it often enough to keep paying road tax and insurance to warrant keeping it
Iv stopped using my C4 1.6 Hdi because i again refuse to pay them prices so i'm rolling in my Corsa 1.2 instead.. you could argue that im not saving much in regards to fuel economy but im not driving far now only to work and back so using the C4 would only clog it up (DPF) etc

Sprinter up to year 2000 are good for veg. So NOT the cdi models.
You can use cooking oil in any diesel. You just need a filter and a preheater Add a second battery and a fuel line heater or start on diesel with a three way valve kit.
Two tank systems need a six way valve.

Its not a biofuel unless a producer labels it as one. As a non hydrocarbon it has to be mixed with a hydrocarbon fuel that has a duty on it. If you buy it as a plant oil, new or used. Its just a plant oil regardless of where you poor it.
Theres nothing illegal, even after 2500 litres, because its not mixed at the point of sale.

These comments are absolutely atrocious. I can see at least 100 different opinions but 0 facts.
6 years running it here and no problems yet of blowby, polymerization, rods and pistons leaving left and right, or anything like that. I have however had problems with coked up glow plugs that last just a couple of months.
I would say to use a 50/50 mix vegetable oil and acetone.

Add a bit of white spirit. Very small bit per gallon. Look into it. Been meaning to fully look into it for a long while - injectors, fuel pumps, winter use additives, etc. etc..

Normally people running straight veg oil or WVO in cold climates run two tanks one for mineral diesel and the second for WVO. The WVO tank and the WVO filter are heated with hot engine coolant. The vehicle is started and stopped with diesel, after the engine is up to temp the WVO in the tank will be warming and thinning in viscosity and valves are switched to draw fuel from the warm WVO tank and the diesel tank is shut off. A couple minutes before shutting down the engine to sit in the cold valves are opened to allow diesel to the engine and shut off the WVO tank.

@@quickcinema8031 That may work for mildly cold climates like North Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, etc, but not in New Hampshire or northern New England, the upper Midwest, or the Dakota's. Even biodiesel which has had its glycerin removed will still crystalize and not pour or flow in -10F to -40F
You can change them with a heated pump on a switch if you want to keep useing cooking oil all year round

Well. The oil is already being recycled. So in the big scheme it doesn't matter who uses it
I know some people filter the oil and then do a 50/50 or 60/40 mix of filtered veg oil to diesel. You'll still have to pay for some diesel but it lowers the viscosity a bit and if you're not paying for the veg oil it's kinda win win. There are other methods too. I've also heard of people filtering/treating old engine oil and mixing it with their diesel engine fuel. Don't quote me. Do your own research. Could potentially harm your engine, especially a newer one.
should be tested the viscosity first, i think. if the viscosity is the same, then it is good to go. What about mixing it with methanol or gasoline a little ?
Hi just a thought can you add kerosene into the veg oil and run. I'm thinking if add kerosene to veg oil might reduce the viscosity of the oil and run better in cold or new engine
