- In this video decorate my Dining room for Christmas 2021, I take you with me as I finish up this space. We have 2 pencil trees that we use every year in this space. I like the formal balance that it gives on both sides of the shelves. I am going with a traditional look this year in this space. We are using red, green, gold, silver and a bit of blue. The colors you think of when you think of traditional Christmas. I have nostalgic vintage pieces that I display on the shelves. I created an old world look on the buffet and it goes in keeping with our style. If you have been following us you might have seen how I put the buffet together. I walk you through the steps in how I created this. At our home Christmas is extreme and over the top! Years later I used the aluminum Christmas tree in my horse barn, decorating it with carrots ,sugar cubes, and apples. After that sadly, I threw it away☹️.Seven years ago I had to get another one and got two of them off eBay. Been using them at Christmas ever since! I put the satin covered Christmas balls that my Aunt decorated with beads on it. Funny as a child I hated that tree!
The aluminum tree was the tree for the kids in the basement family room and the first tree I was in charge of to decorate the way I wanted on my own ....very sentimental ! Now they want a fortune for one ! 👍🎄💛👫

Looking Magical~ Yes you're a maximalist, but the absolute best kind ( and we gave on pre-lit trees awhile back too). I love seeing all the different varieties of trees and decorations in your home. We love hearing your stories that go with items. My Mother made little foil cards with felt cutouts on them for "my" first Christmas. When I grew up, she shared two of those cards with me and added a special note inside about how they came to be. Every year for 35 years when un-packing the ornaments and I see them, they bring a smile. Then I see her handwriting inside each card and know she's still with me. So many magical memories.

The buffet table is exquisite. Putting snow on the tree is new to me. My family never did that. I will try it if I find the snow stuff. You and your wife are artists perfectly matched! Your home is your canvas as everyone’s home is as well. I love it. 🎄

Every time you give us a peek of the buffet, I'm just amazed at how wonderful it is this year!!💯 Love the pencil tree decorations also. Today I spotted the gold reindeer pulling the gold 🛷 sleigh💞❤️. Beautiful trees! Another tip for adding a snowy look to the tree is to take fiberfill stuffing, tear it into pieces, and tuck it in between branches. Save it and reuse it next year! 8-)

I agree, tree skirts are expensive. I buy a couple of yards of fabric and puddle it under the tree, no sewing and you can get any color or pattern you want. Works great! Love the tree and all the other decor.

I used baby blue tulle as a tree skirt for our pastel color palette Victorian themed tree. It had large pearl garland, lace fans, acrylic drop ornaments, lit faux candles, etc.

Ive already set up my wreaths garlands tree, and they are all yellow-just to be different. With ornaments mostly in brown white pale and diluted colors. After seeing your magnificent take, i think i want to switch back to the traditional.

Glorious indeed, and that's right no scrooges allowed! I've been going at it myself, not even halfway done inside, and then come the lights outside. We're taking a 40min drive today to Hobby Lobby and the huge Home Goods, even though our store almost seems to get the better stuff even though it's smaller. But we must check! We hit an estate sale yesterday and got a couple of the coolest little old flock covered kings that hang, they are spectacular so now the juices are really flowin'! I'll have to email you a pic. Oh HG has the brand Shiny-Brite again, vintage glass garlands, some candy some not, also on Wayfair. Happy decorating, it's all coming together! Be well😁💫🍋💯🎄

Love you might be accused of being happy! Keep the scrouches away ! I have all my Christmas decor out in boxes. Can you show us how to do the diagonal? Now that I can buy rib ion I never learned, they all do the vertical and the poofs are pretty but that old diagonal is still in my mind the perfection , like with pearls or or a streamer of smaller bulbs

The flocked trees are so nice they are however if you want to save some money and get a similar look the snow is great. We learned that the spray snow ruined our ornaments and took the finish off. Just so you know the plastic snow in the bag is the way to go.😉🎄🎅

Jeff, this is magical! I'm the same way with tree skirts. I have an old white picnic blanket i have always used to throw around the bottom of the tree. Easy to wash too. Happy Holidays!

The music master has done it again. Just takes everything to another level..beautiful. Yes, I’m waiting for my tree lights to go but so far so good.
