As a little old lady myself, may I say that we are not all like that! A fire hydrant must be respected for SAFETY reasons. Her behavior is embarrassing. She is old enough to know better. Be civil and respectful.

Well, that's just it, isn't it? Our society tells us we should have considerable respect for elders-but that respect is contingent on them acting the part. This woman has not matured emotionally one iota from the time she was fifteen and will command commensurate respect.

Reminds me of a case filmed in my country.
An old lady claimed that she did not see the light had turned red, and also that her cars brakes were not good enough to be able to stop in time, so she thought that police should not write her a ticket for running the red light.
So the officer says "So you are saying that you have poor eyesight and bad brakes" ? And followed up with "Well, then i better send you to a doctor and have him/her examine if you are at alle able to drive a car, and the car i better send for an inspection for the brakes"
That lady just got herself a self paid mandatory health check to keep her license, and a visit to the inspection centre to have her inspection done, out of normal cycle.
AND...She still got the ticket for the red light. :)

Adults don't park illegally in the first place, unless by accident-in which case, they take it like adults.
Some people seem to be under the impression that the enforcement officers are supposed search for the car owner in stores and homes in the area before writing a ticket. 🤨

Too lenient on the first lady. They should have told her she can follow the parking ticket person all she wants, and then call to have her car towed.
at the end it was getting to the point where they needed to get a police officer there, and put handcuffs on her and throw her in the back of a cop car for being a nuisance. then she’d probably shut up REAL quick.

I love this show because it shows that people with the attitude that "the rules apply to everyone except me" are getting exactly what they deserve!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!
In the UK we have much more markings on the road itself, single yellow line, double yellow line, double red line. The bus stops are marked out with a different colour tarmac. Where there is a zebra crossing you have zigzag lines about 5m from it so you can't park there. (It gives space around the crossing so a pedestrian can be seen when attempting to cross)
My life has really come to watching “parking wars” at 10:44am smoking weed ffs.

I honestly don’t know how these people can do this job. Kudos to them. They must have such think skin! The parking enforcement officers I’ve spoken to in the past are great people and are always up for a good chat (as long as it’s not about your ticket) 😜

I can understand them not being issued a sidearm (although with all the abuse they take, I for one would consider it prudent). But I would like to see the piece of legislation that says CCWs are available in a given jurisdiction to everyone but felons and traffic wardens.
Yes, it is different by state. Also by county, city, and territory. What most non-Americans don't realize about America is that it is one huge hodgepodge of jurisdictions; there is not a single set of laws for the whole country. That is literally the opposite of almost every other nation-state out there, where laws and powers are centralized in a federal authority.
That is just one of the ways in which the Republic is unique.
We have laws, otherwise we have anarchy. You obviously do not live in Philly. The sole purpose of the laws is to separate people from their money. Parking authority writes the law, enforces the laws and collects fines. Any and all grievances with the parking authority are handled by ......... the parking authority.

🤦🏻♀️ Another thing you can’t stop once it’s started is a CPS report. Even if you tell the CPS worker “oh nevermind I don’t want to report them after all”, they will finish the report and process whatever you started to tell them.
These idiots are acting like they're making commission off the tickets they print. News flash - they're not! And yet they still choose to stand there and give you the courtesy of explaining why you got the ticket and why they can't take it back instead of just walking away from your rude attitude.

I think at least half the people on the show are entitled and VERY lazy. My city, Dallas, has strict laws on where you can park on weekends. There's a computer server building in Deep Ellum, Dallas that is famous for being misused by illegal parkers. The owner even has a RUclips channel, Gtoger. It's hilarious how many refuse to obey the parking laws on weekends. I once dreaded having to go into downtown on a Saturday and was shocked that it wasn't that hard to find a parking space. I just drove around for a measly 5-8 minutes and bingo! Parking spot available, just feed the meter for an hour, go to the website's office building (I was working for a website at the time), chat with the HR rep and leave. I still had a few minutes on the meter left. Walking back to my car, I couldn't help but laugh at people parking illegally: by red lines, next to fire hydrants, blocking back alleys. It almost bordered on traffic anarchy! I guess the Dallas parking patrol was too busy on the other side of town writing tickets like mad while everyone else on the west side was breaking parking laws as quickly as they could, LOL...

The lady that parked in the bus zone made me laugh so hard. A 51 dollar ticket...in my country tickets that low don't even exist.
