Exactly that's why the parking warden has got video footage to help her in her case for that lady's negligence for not facing the parking ticket the right way on the cars dashboard. Nobody has xray vision

@Sweetface Lola Are you not given a temporary tag by the dealer? Here the dealer will give you a paper/plastic temporary tag, good for 30 days while waiting for your title. If that is not enough time, you simply let the dealer know and they will give you another. If you buy from an individual, you should have the title handed to you at the sale so you can get your tag.
@Sweetface Lola No, if you buy car from a dealer you get temp tags. If you buy from an individual they sign the title, you go to the DMV and either get new registration and tag. Or, if the person still has a lien against the car, you can not take possession until the previous owner gets a release . in other words their loan must be paid before you can take possession.

When people do this, it is because the ticket is invalid, they know it, and they think that the officer won't notice.

As humans nobody wants to be in the wrong. Just like the jacka** who knows he owes tickets, but would rather let them mess up his car (while he stands there & watches) then blames someone else later. Some ppl's brain switch never gets flipped to take accountability.

Because it's a TV show and the 9/10 tickets they drop that's usually how it goes but they need that 1/10 to keep the drama and show rolling. Would you even watch a show of people giving parking tickets and silently walking off? No you watch it for the very drama you're complaining about. It's like an 8 hour day they work and you're watching like 15 minutes worth of footage.

Parking Wars always remind me how irrational people are. They love driving. They also love when they can drive somewhere easily without cars blocking things and traffic, love when firemen can access fire hydrants but hate it when parking/traffic employees keep that thing alive.
She didn't have to write her name on that ticket. That women know you have to display the stamped time receipt. She's done it 3 times before.

At least in Philly the tow yard is open late! Where I live it closes at 6pm. You don’t have to pay meters after 6 but if you get towed for any other reason you can’t get your car until the next day!

I purchased a car on Monday of this week,at 10:00, by 10:30 it was registered to me, Insured and Taxed, it took 15 minutes to complete the process. I have been driving for 45 years, I only park where it is legal to park, even if it means a 5 minute walk. I worked as a mobile engineer and as a builder plus lots of other jobs in central London, where I used the car to go from property to property. I have never had a parking ticket, a boot or had my car towed. If I were to park illegally or fail to register a vehicle, I would expect to get a fine or be towed etc and I would take it like a man, not whinge like a child, disrespect the officials trying to keep the traffic moving, or blame everyone else but myself.

Never apologize for doing your job!!! Everyone has an excuse when breaking traffic laws. It's almost always these same people. They never seem to learn. I don't feel a bit sorry for any of these people. I never get parking tickets. If, when I get caught, which would never happen, but if it did, I'd take responsibility for breaking the traffic law. Blame myself, not other people.
Why would you put someone else tags on your car? Then have an issue when there are tickets on that tag? You're breaking the law by having someone else's tags on your car. You poor baby!!!

I love my local DMV office .... walk in, register my vehicle, walk out with tags (my state requires one front and back) as well as the required stickers that are placed on the tag. No waiting for anything to be delivered in the mail. No excuses. Periodic registration renewal is normally done via the net and you have your renewal stickers within a week ....... even during the Covid mail lag in 2020.

Mine also. It was fixed from years ago when apparently registration was does all at once. Now it is even better. I get a letter and/or email. It tells me when I need to register it and whether or not my insurance and taxes are up to date. I go online pay it and wait about a week. There was a time though I could swear we paid the taxes (they are due in October, rural state, when the harvest is in) then found out the clerk was embezzling cash receipts. I make sure I know where the receipts are.

I've never encountered anything like an embezzlement of taxes. But, when I pay my property taxes, rather than mailing them in, I go straight to the courthouse and watch the cashier run the payment thru a gizmo on her counter that "validates" the payment on the tax bill, and to top it off, when my check filters thru the banking system, when it shows on my account as having been cashed, I can (and do) make a copy of the check image, front and back, and save it to my computer as well as print out those images and attach them to my tax bill (I'm old school and love my paper files.)
It's a shame that people who have those wonderful talents to do nefarious things (like embezzlement) don't put those talent to better, honest and honorable things.
I renew my registration and my auto (and homeowner) insurances through a banking application and make those payment electronically ..... gotta love that Bill Pay. License renewal is electronically too, unless enough time has elapse that the insist you come in person to update the photo ..... but since Covid hit, the DMV is trying to do as much viz the internet as possible. And, any and all in person activities/transactions are by appointment only. They don't even let you in the building to ask a question without an appointment.

We have an app in the uk called Ringo.
You start a session...if the initial session is running out you get a notification and you can extend the session. You dont have to end the session. When the car moves away from the car park, it automatically end the session....
No cash needed....
No meter needed....
