    My block one came out beautifully but I’m happy to have an easy block two! I learned so much quilting with Kimberly. She was my quilt teacher during the Pandemic time.

    LOVED this Livestream! Great job FQS team!! My answers to the "what is it?" 1. Cookie press 2. glove shaper 3. cream or milk bucket 4. rug beater 5. ringer from a ringer washer. I love and collect vintage things too, Lori! Love the projects in your new book and will pre-order it today (if I haven't already done that! I may have). Thank you Lori and FQS for all you do! Lori, thank you for sharing about your grandma! I love that you had that special relationship with both your grandmas!

    This is my first quilt along. It’s really fun and the bonus will be a beautiful gift quilt. Thank you.

    Pink is your color. You look lovely! thank you for providing the quilt alongs. I am not a quilter, but am trying to learn. Last one I attempted with one with you, it turned out great (Bats and Boos). I haven't quilted it yet, but did complete it.

    Update: Block twos completed!! Super fast.
    Block one was fantastic- I used paper piecing for the first time and LOVED the results! No do-overs and Jack was not needed to rip apart. I did see that FQS oversized the HQT fabric so even if paper wasn’t used, you could trim to perfect size! Block two will be a quick one so thank you!! Now I just need to master flying geese!! 😮😮 🪿🪿 🌼🦋💜 ~ Doreen B

    Could we plan ahead and sew a 20 inch green strip to 20 inch white strip and then sub cut into 2.5 inch green/white couplets?

      @FatQuarterShopTX  2 месяца назад

      Hello Lori! If you want to plan all your cuts then you would want to wait until the entire Mystery is revealed. If you want the surprise of the Mystery follow the pattern as it is released.

      This would only accommodate the 4 blocks in this video. We know by end of this video that we need 8 green/white couplets, so could create the strips. I’ll try it out

    • @lorijean44

      Worked like a charm. Basically it’s an efficiency trick to make the 4 blocks at once instead of one block 4 times. I get for these videos why you will show one at a time.
      So I sewed a 20in x 2.5in white with the same size in the green. Then subcut into 2.5 inch couplets.
      Then I created the 4-patch 4 times. The nesting came out perfectly. Next I added the white 4.5 on each block, then 6.5 white on each, then 6.5 green on each and 8.5 green on each.

      Corners: I feel like you are goingnto rotate them, and I picked a dadgum green print that is directional. My green is the pinecone from Christmas Stitch. What to do?
