Writer, actor, and standup comedian Joe DeRosa has become a favorite on the comedy circuit. His brand of comedy mixing brutal honesty and frustration at the workings of the world has won over comedy fans, radio listeners, and TV audiences nationwide. DeRosa was a writer on Netflix's highly anticipated Wet Hot American Summer TV series. He also wrote and was a featured performer on TBS' acclaimed The Pete Holmes Show. In recent years, DeRosa has been seen in a recurring role on AMC's Better Call Saul, and has made appearances on Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer, FX's Louie, HBO's Bored To Death, E's Chelsea Lately, and in the video game Grand Theft Auto V. I love how Ari slowly plants little nuggets in podcasts to play out a bit for the long game...I really enjoyed the fake boyfriend bit...that always made me laugh every time he randomly threw it out there and then just never goes into any real detail at all about the guy and none of the guests ever interject and ask about this "boyfriend", which makes me think he warns guests about the bit off air before he starts recording....
Yeah when he'd say "my partner" 🤣 Idk if he warns them.. I think he just mentions is so quick no one really catches it and thinks about it haha

Cannon is correct on Baldwin. He won't do time but he 100% should be charged.
Also him skipping training is true which absolutely unacceptable when it comes to safety.
I work in the tactical training industry and we use blanks, dummy guns, Simunition firearms and other dangerous weapons that have a minimum of 2 people observe the loading and handling going into a scenario. We have all students patted down for live ammunition, magazines, firearms, etc. When we load blanks or Sims we have a minimum of 2 people who are working together to make sure no live ammunition could be introduced to the area. No ammo is allowed in the area nor live firearms. Once a student enters a scenario area and searched they must be checked again upon entering the area. Layers and layers of controls just on loading. Once loaded the blanks or Simunition guns will be locked or on your person. Lastly ANYONE handling blanks is told and will not be allowed to handle these unless all of the above is followed as well as the basics of firearms safety. Main focus being NEVER, EVER point a blank gun or otherwise at anyone for any reason. Loaded or not. If someone did some shit like that. Immediate dismissal and removal from the grounds.
To Fenney's point on aiming guns at cameras yes this is common and done very safely. When you're aiming a firearm at a camera or shots are fired in that direction it is done remotely, timers, and mirrors to make sure no person is ever down range of the firearms. Blanks can be fatal or cause serious injuries ranging from burns, blindness, blown ear drums or lost eyes.
As for not using CGI it will never ne the same as using an actual realistic firearm to mimic real world handling. A good example I'd Keanu Reaves training for months at Taran Tactical for John Wick on handling, magazine changes, shooting and moving, etc. Knowing those things is much, much more difficult and expensive to replicate something that can be done safely using period pieces or custom firearms without any real danger. Yes safety needs to be #1 in any of this stuff. Just like evasive driving, stunt falls etc. Risks yes but with proper training it is minimal.
Baldwin should be charged and do time. If myself or anyone I would with did something so stupid we would absolutely be in doing time. Wealth and arrogance shouldn't exempt him from taking a life and wounding another person seriously. Those set stages without camera rolling uses dummy guns and props. This was 100% preventable and Baldwin can't accept this

Even if it wasnt loaded with a real bullet, pulling the trigger on a gun firing a blank can kill a person easily and no one holding a gun, should point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger. Its the number one rule with ALL guns, dont point a gun at something and pull the trigger unless you want that thing destroyed
