Thanx, Aimee. That is a good fairway wood lesson. I have found hitting downward with my fairway woods hitting the fairway hit the fairway after the the ball.works well.
You are an awesome teacher Aimee!!! I watched this video a few days before my golf vacation and it really helped me pure some of my 3 wood shots. Thank you so much!
One can practice their swing to perfection without ever hitting a ball. Hitting leaves is an example. I tend to take my eye off the ball (look up) when I hit. Since I'm not anxious to see where the leaf goes (stick, blade of grass, or whatever), I watch to see where my club hits the ground. This drill trains me to keep my eye on the ball. Once I'm set up, the aim is to brush (or take a mini divot) the same spot of grass with each swing, time after time.
I find the 3 wood the most difficult. I tend to use my 3 rescue on the fairways and the 3 wood off the tee. I do practice with it at the range but thats a flat mat. I have also strengthened my grip from one of your previous videos as I was slicing. Where was the "boom" today 😊

Hi, my iron shots are really improving & I'm very happy with them.....however I just cannot get my drives away....weird because when I first took up the game my drives were where I shined but my iron shots were awful....I'm perplexed....thanks for your great lessons..
Hi Bill, The answer to your question is a YES! I do the step motion, which puts the pressure in the inner front left foot! Thanks Bill! Let me know if I can help with anything else.
Aimee, in one of your previous video’s you suggested a “bump” of the left hip to initiate the downswing. I’ve been using that move to hit my fairway woods and got immediate results, solid hits, higher ball flight and straighter. I’m surprised you didn’t mention that move in this video. Why?
As the club gets longer, the stance should be slightly wider. The difference from a hybrid to a 3 wood shouldn't be too much. Maybe about 1" or so. I hope this helps! Thanks.
Hello Aimee, thank you for the lessons ! Actually when I lie up with the ball ,using 3 wood ,should the ball line one club head shorter to the inside of the left food heel ? 😁
Great tips! I tend to hit my 3 wood fade and slice quite often and l don't know why. Sometime l hit some baby draws, but again l don't know why. Please help. Thanks, coach.
Upland Hills #6? Hi Aimee. I met you today on UHCC #13 and got one of your business cards. Loved the leaf drill you shared here. Definitely a great tip for getting loft on the 3 wood! So here's one for your viewers. Ever suggest a 3-ball scramble? That's what I was playing today when I ran into you. That drive put me 194 yards out, so I had to go for it. My first shot didn't clear the tree branch that was in front of me ... my 2nd shot from 194 cleared the branch but landed in the green-side bunker. The third I took to the right of the greenside bunker and set me up on the fringe to where I could putt. I played the 3rd shot. My putt was uphill and 50 feet away from the hole. My first putt broke a bit more than I expected (which would have given me a birdie), but I had to try for that albatross, so I set up my 2nd and sunk it. I do modify the rules of the 3-ball scramble, but will write down which ball I've played. If I like my first drive (on a par 4 or 5), I'll play it. The 3-ball scramble works best for the approach shots and those long putts. While the score will never count (a 64 today), it's a very uplifting mental drill. It teaches you as a golfer that you've done it before, so you can. I have subscribed and rung the bell. I'll definitely share your channel with friends. Hope you much success!

Stance for 3-wood is same as 3-hybrid?

Where do you like to place the ball in your address for the 3w? Looks to be 1 or 2 balls forward of center, while torso is directly centered?
Hello Aimee, thank you for the lessons ! Actually when I lie up with the ball ,using 3 wood ,should the ball line one club head shorter to the inside of the left food heel ? 😁
