How do we help an aging parent who is coping with the opposite extreme when going every 3 months to see their family doctor and when dutifully going to their recommended referalls to see specialist doctors too after they have been on top of everything else they have been diagnosed with so far as having most only dementia.? While knowing full well that around 75% of the time a diagnosis of demetia is instead a misdiagnosis which is called Septicemia no longer being well controlled with anti-biotics. Like for example when she is having to undergo emergency surgery for a broken other hip while at the time remaining on a waiting list to get the other hip replacement surgery redone? Like for example when in a family meeting next with a surgeon who seems only concerned with everyone there understanding that the only main thing everyone should be concerned about ever is making sure that parent remains restrained and tied to their bed so they don't ever pick at their long wound secured only with narrow plastic strips while they are trying to sleep too after being discharged from the post op room?
