A lesser-know but interesting waltz composed by Johann Strauss II.
Performance of Slovak State Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Christian Pollack. The tempo of the original recording has been increased by 12% in order to make it more lively.
Great forogtten waltz by Waltz King composed for the carnival of 1859 and premiered on the occasion of the medical students' ball at the University of Vienna. Waltz sections 1B and 3A are especially spectacular. Increasing the tempo of the original recording revealed the full potential of this work.

Very good idea to speed up the tempo a bit - several of the Marco Polo Edition recordings could do with it, like "Lebenswecker" and "Telegraphische Depeschen" from memory, to bring out the best in these neglected masterpieces.
With time local/contemporary significances r forgotten n the work becomes universal in appeal.Every moment the prosaic present drops off n becomes a part of the poetic past!!😊😊

sarebbe interessante ascoltare una versione accelerata di un'esecuzione dei Wiener Philarmoniker :) visto che loro rispettano il ritmo del Valzer in 3/4 col difetto in stile viennese con il secondo tempo leggermente anticipato dello "zum-pa-pa" :)
