@Antares78 A Waltz with the same title originally composed by Jossef Strauss unfortunataly got lost. But many themes in this works sounds in the style of him changed by his brother Johann aspecting to cadences and melodic progressions. I know this Quadrille. It's from the 2017 Vienna New Year's Concert makes a debut with Gustavo Dudamel.

Едва ли не самый загадочный вальс Иоганна II. Настолько выбивается из общего ряда своей атмосферой, настолько не похож на остальные вальсы. Даже условные Op. 1 и Op. 314 имеют между собой больше общего, чем Op. 215 с любым другим вальсом, как мне кажется. Спасибо за эту версию исполнения, я ни разу не слышал ее ранее

The recording I have from great conductor Paul Angerer makes this piece very special. Other performances of this work are very good too including this one.

A really sweet lovely waltze. I wonder if you could up the tempo a little on Cagliostro Quadrille, one of my favourite operetta quadrilles. Also Licht und Schatten also from the operetta Cagliostro in Vienna.

Another great waltze. Slight quicker ammendmants to Johann's Gavotte de Konigin and Josef's Dithyrambe polka would be great.

❤❤❤ Superb Waltz by Eduard Strauss. One can recognize his sryle. It sounds like, he tried To reinvent Johann Strauss Ii sryle, but if you Listen carefully, you can notice some unusual melodies. I guess his waltzes are more difficult to conduct. That is why it will be unlikely to heae one of them at the New Year Concert in Vienna. Only his very well-known dances are played. I hope some conductors accept the challenge and change it. A waltz by Eduard Strauss belongs in thid concert

This waltz by Johann Strauss Sohn is invigorating. It was played by the VPO in the Vienna New Year's Concert since Zubin Mehta conducted in 1995, and Gustavo Dudamel in 2017. Great recording.

One of the very few waltzes by Johann Strauss I to have been performed during the Neujahrskonzert, if I'm not mistaken only four were performed i.e. Philomelen-Walzer, Op. 82, Paris-Walzer, Op. 101, Loreley-Rhein-Klänge, Op. 154 and Marienwalzer, Op. 212 (two of them performed under Maestro Muti's baton). What a pity that we won't hear another less known masterpiece in two months but waltzes that have been peformed dozens of times. Muti's original interpretation of Op. 212 was boring, undanceable and lacking in energy - the changes you made have definitely improved the original recording.

Can this score be found somewhere ?

Fabulous recording of this great but sadly forgotten waltz, full of sublime melodies like 3:46.

A brilliant flighty introduction leads us to excellent waltz melodies. Should be better known. Interesting title Fireflies. I thought at first the translation was for boggy marsh areas. Maybe fireflies congregate there.

A really fine waltz. Has real swagger to the first waltz theme. Also impressed by the coda. One of his finest creations.

Can you please give the same quicker tempo treatments to the following? opus 277, 405 455 all by Johann Strauss Son?

Another Josef great masterpiece. 3.42 in particular uses counter melodies that was such his speciality

Great interpretation of a true rarity by Edi. Some really great waltz parts - 2:39, 4:05, 5:17 and the best one in my opinion 4:44.
