Maybe have a plot point be Gwen having a bodily-civil war with herself as she battles the antagonist Gwenom, whom of which is 10x stronger being a veteran symbiote following the events of its encounters with P. Parker and E. Brock and so such, making a more epic scene than we've seen before. Crap im damn near already writimg the script WE NEED THIS 😂

Despite the different versions and universes, this is a key aspect of Peter's character that many fans overlook. Peter has spent most of his life alone, abused, mistreated, and ostracized by everyone around him. He's never really fit in and he's always struggled with anything that wasn't typical school work whether it'd be sports, socializing or even just common sense. However upon getting his powers, like any teen he preformed selfish acts and was forced to face the consequences of those actions, making him a better person. Peter in life has had to grow and develop and learn from his actions and mistakes all on his own without any help as the few people who knew of his powers and identity, couldn't really relate to him. However if Peter's desire for power is fueled by his inferiority complex which grew from his bullied life; wanting to be like Gwen or Stark and if Peter uses short-cuts in order to achieve that goal; using a shotty formula or receiving his ideal suit from someone else instead of making it by himself through experience, then his bitter complex quickly emerges and shows itself, showing off Peter's natural human darkness which serves as fuel for his actions, resulting in very very bad situations. Peter is probably the most human superhero of all time because he learns and grows and develops on his own and tries his best despite his mistakes but if he's granted an opportunity to take an easy path and lacks any real appreciation for his situation, it corrupts him very easily.

It's so great seeing how much the spiderverse (specifically ATSV) incorporated the story threads from the comics into the film's plot. That and the art style which were clearly paid tribute to with the opening.
I love her design. I just never got around to the art of her comics so I didn't last long in reading. I love the concept of the character so I just might give it another shot.
It must be so scary, knowing that there are these other universes where your dead. It would be interesting to see an in depth look on how that affected Gwen's psyche. Glad she got the superhero treatment. Wish MJ would too.

You didn’t mention that Gwen still has the venom symbiote. It is how she still has her powers. She made peace with it and now it works in with her. Not as a second voice or consciousness, but rather as a suit. She lost her powers and the symbiote is why she still has powers

I'm super confused as to WHY we keep making this claim that as far as I know having collected 80% of spider gwens comics(Including tie ins) is completely assumed. Spider Gwen HAS NEVER CONCLUDED TO LOSE OR GET RID OF VENOM. The whole point of the gwenom arch and ALL OF THE TWISTS used in edge of the spider verse tied to her character stem from characters not knowing that she has held onto the venom symbiote and durring gwenom we learned that future gwen keeps venom and that's how she saved the original gwen stacy from her thought to be inevitable death in the 616 uni. GWEN NEVER GOT RID OF VENOM. All channels covering her say this and I'm not sure why. Am I here just spoiling K-Fabe? or are we just not doing proper research before making these history of videos??? Captain Cave Gwen dying is a pretty important part of Spiderman being who he is. Also it's a pretty important part of the comics industry as a whole as it helped lead into more dark stories. Not saying you're wrong because that's your opinion but the OG Gwen is pretty important.

Very good video. I'm a fan of her series and it was Edge of the Spider-verse #2 that got me into comics. Now I understand you can't cover everything such as the Spider-Women event that affected her for a time nor her own current and growing rouge gallery (such as the Bodega Bandit who's just the worst :) ). You did miss one aspect of her current powers is that she still has the symbiote on and as apart of her however she is training it to be a hero and practicing her own self control. With the symbiote she has fashion shifting abilities and invisibility when she has her symbiote mimic the background. Also since it doesn't appear like she is wearing/bonded to a symbiote that can shock the villains unprepared. The symbiote works a bit differently from other Earth versions such as loving rock n roll and being many little gooey spiders that acts more like a loyal pet and cares also for Gwen's friends and love ones feeling what Gwen feels. She also a hero that has been in prison and served time. There is a heavy indication she might gain a new power come the next issue #4 of this current vol.
I’ve been a big fan of her since she was rebirthed in the new earth and she is my all time favorite super hero ever I know crazy but she has changed my life if a way that people can do the same thing like you but are totally different

And since then, A) Gwen lost her wristwatch dimension hopper (along with all the other Spiders), B) she got a necklace dimension hopper (making hers unique), C) Spider-Gwen: Ghost-Spider series finished after 10 issues (2 volumes), D) got Ghost-Spider series right after, and E) she now goes to college on Earth-616 (see dimension hopper), since she's in something of a weird place in Earth-65 right now.

And since then, A) Gwen lost her wristwatch dimension hopper (along with all the other Spiders), B) she got a necklace dimension hopper (making hers unique), C) Spider-Gwen: Ghost-Spider series finished after 10 issues (2 volumes), D) got Ghost-Spider series right after, and E) she now goes to college on Earth-616 (see dimension hopper), since she's in something of a weird place in Earth-65 right now.
I love this spider-person but the og Spiderman will always be my favorite
