Wow, when he mentioned his favorite part in the song I was shocked that it was mine too. I love the build up to get to it. All this sort of call & response in the vocals creating counterpoint & then it all drops to a single voice & very minimal back tracking. Then, bam - the bass comes in as the song begins to fill up again.
I've had this on repeat for weeks. The atmosphere, the vocal production is so on point. Lyrically it's like looking back on a relationship with a genuinely good person who taught you something about yourself. Captured the nostalgia 100%. Tired, heartsick, ok with being sad vibe. Awesome to see some insight into the production. I wish he said a little more about the songwriting or the vocal production method/inspiration.
