I wouldn't mind if they brought back the original looks from the 80's and 90's to mix with the live action. Maybe even do a full on animated film like The Chipmunk Adventure, as no one talked about that film in years.

I’m an early 2000s kid so the chipmunks were my childhood! I really loved the original 80s cartoons like Frankenstein and Werewolf. When it comes to the movies.. I liked the 1st movie, the 2nd movie is actually better than the 1st, the 3rd one was meh even when I was 9 years old when this movie came out and I was the target audience that was supposed to like it. I could tell there was a decline. But the 4th was a dumpster fire. I had to turn it off in the first 10 minutes, it was that bad. Black Nerd Comedy’s old review of the movie sums it up perfectly so if you don’t want to waste a couple hours, just watch his review. Never cared for them since, being that I’m in my early 20s now, I very most likely won’t have any interest in this reboot but I’m hoping it will be better so kids can at least enjoy it!
