I have the 3-28 DLR. It was just what I was looking for for a crossover optic for NRL Hunter style shooting and actual hunting. The 5-40 is what the PRS and target shooters wanted though. And if it would have been an option when I got the 3-28 I may have even opted for it. If the mid to 3/4 range magnification glass , the turrets, tracking, FOV are as good as the 3-28 ………….. The 5-40 will be a legit option. The only spot that isn’t great on my 3-28 is at max zoom it darkens some. To be fair though that is most optics. I can’t wait to check this one out. I also can’t wait to see the next products from TT and ZCO. Edit to say….. I also have the Area 419 mid cantilever mount. It was a must have for my 3-28 on a short action Impact.
@@tiputipu777 the intent was always for both to exist, with the 328 being a more tactical/multi-use optic, and this one being the big boy for the top end of power. They both definitely have their place
at the 5x power, the tree appears to be out of focus 10mils and lower, is that the case or just the scope cam? as i have the 525 DLR and the lower mag range has the same characteristic where anything but the centre of the image is a touch out of focus.
@@area419 Seems others reviews ran into similar issues. It almost seems like their afraid of something. Either way, someone that purchased one will eventually make a review.
@ we’ve had March in the shop and they make a great product. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s more to do with their Japanese parent’s approach to marketing. 🤷🏻♂️
@@adamsgunroom9331 much larger mag range, much larger FOV, and a more forgiving eyebox. It’s a better optic overall. If the budget is there, you’ll be pleased.

How does it compare to the 8-40 ZCO?
This optic, the ZCO 840, and more, will be in a large-scale test we are currently filming. You'll want to see it! Be on the lookout post SHOT

I had similar issues with the 525 DLR. Anything past the 12MIL mark was out of focus. Even the reticle numbers were unreadable.
If I’m seeing the reticle correct, .2mil subtensions vertically and .5mil horizontally, it’s gonna be a non starter for so many potential buyers.
How many mils of elevation adjustment does the Kahles K540i have?
29 MIL
Would be nice if someone reviewed March FX Gen II 5-42x56
@@wsmc8275 we asked March for one of the new optics for a test we are doing, it just didn’t work out
@area419
That's a bummer. Sure would had been a good comparison with the others.
@ we agree, it’s why we asked

How does it compare to the 5-25i dlr? I love my 5-25 and I am looking at buying another scope.
