  • Decided to do another full ride of an MTA Bus Company route, with it being another JFK Depot route. On March 8th 2024, JFK received their first XD40 numbered 9314 and shortly after received 9313, 9315, 9316, 9317 and 9318. And within less than two weeks of receiving their latest batch of Xcelsiors they put them in service. 9317 was the first XD40 out of JFK to hit service and ran on the Q37B. Afterwards 9313 entered service on the Q41 (Far Rockaway), 9315 entered service on the Q7, 9316 entered service on the Q10, and 9318 entered service on the Q10 LIMITED. As of now April 12th 2024, JFK has a total of 17 XD40's and is supposed to receive 42 total units to phase out the Orion VII's out of the depot along with the Novabus LFS's. As a result of their arrival I decided to do a full ride on the Q7 since I already did a full ride on the Q6 with a Nova LFS to JFK Airport.
Overall the ride was really good, the operator was flooring it throughout Rockaway Boulevard and the operator was a bit on time, only problem I had was the fact the Vianova Screens on the bus weren't working but other than that, it was pretty good. With that being said, I hope yall enjoy the video.

@@jadenmuniz8817 from Februrary 26th to now, JFK went from 49 LFS's delivered to 108 LFS's delivered. The delivery is going a lot quicker than both the LFS HEV & NYCT Conehead delivery. The only reason it may feel "slow" is cause JFK is taking priority atm

@@IRT_9698 But LaGuardia still has just 3 out of 84 units. And Baisley Park should’ve gotten all 46 by now.

@@jadenmuniz8817 because JFK is at main priority cause they have 178 LFS's to be delivered overall, like I said once JFK is somewhat close to finishing the order LaGuardia would take priority. Similar to what New Flyer did, once a certain amount of buses were delivered to Eastchester, LaGuardia took priorty, and once LaGuardia had a certain number of buses delivered, JFK took priority.
