Birria-Landia is legit. I went there one summer and we waited almost an hour but it was well worth it. Tacombi is decent, I like their fish tacos a lot. Is Taqueria Al Pastor the spot in Bushwick? I don't think I ever got to try that place when I lived over there. I usually went to BK Taco Factory, Los Hermanos, El Kucho or Amaranto.

When I make tacos at home I make a spicy mango-pineapple salsa.
I feel the sweet heat and additional texture is what is missing from everyone's taco.
