I just don’t get it. You put all that bait in that sits on the bottom, then fish zigs? Yes you might pick one out of the upper layers, but the majority will be down on the free bait so fish all 3 rods on the deck as well. Simple
They will only be down there when they want to feed and this time of year you have bite times like feeding times, however you can induce a bite with a zig and add to your tally, this is proven in carp match fishing, where those anglers that switch regularly out catch the guys that sit with three on the deck

Linear is my idea of fishing hell. Why no footage of those fish being landed on the zigs, bit suspicious.
Because as we stated... we didn't catch on them lol.. we tried but the bottom was what produced for us
