  • On this trip I start the morning on Stinson Beach and then did a run/walk to the top of Mount Tamalpais. I followed the Dipsea trail, Steep Ravine Trail, Matt Davis Trail, and finishing on the Upper Fern Creek Trail. On the way back down to took mostly the same trail but came back to the beach on the Matt Davis Trail.

I just ran this course on Saturday (Apr. 1st, 2023) except I went to West Peak first, then East Peak before descending. I used to run Tam all the time from 2006 to 2017, but less often all the time. I'm 59 now, but plan to run it until the week I die. Even if I die doing it.

What a beautiful area and a really nice job on the video. 12 degrees here in Vermont with plenty of snow. Take care and stay safe, Al

The mileage and elevation change you stated at the beginning of the video didn't account for all the camera retrieval distance. Very nicely filmed and edited. Thanks for putting it all together.

Awesome trail! I can't believe you didn't run into more people. The trail is obviously well maintained. You are getting better all the time with your camera work. Thanks for the show.

That’s a nice area, my first backpacking trip was at Point Reyes. I don’t get up there much even though I live in the South Bay. My go to spots are more south now. I like getting into the National Forest behind Big Sur, it’s a bit of a drive but man its wild and secluded in there. Also, there is a spot you might like you can hike from the coast to Cone Peak. Check it out and thank me later!
