Now it is possible to adapt some mirrorless lenses to some other types of mirrorless cameras, but there's only less than a millimeter of distance between the Fuji X mount (17.7 mm) and the Sony E mount (18.00 mm) so unfortunately there's not enough space for an adapter.
Can I get an x mount tilt shift adapter that I can still use my x mount lenses with? On the website I can only find Nikon to x mount. Cannon to x mount etc.
I'm not aware of any that do that. A few things to consider: 1) the stand-off distance between the lens body and imaging sensor makes mounting of SLR lenses on mirrorless bodies a fairly simple task... just add barrel length and and the right proper barb/receptacle bits. The lens's optics are already set up right. Trying to stay within-family would require optical correction since the adapter would put the lens farther away from the sensor, and that could be expensive or possibly even technologically unfeasible. 2) A full-frame lens adapted to an APSC body will almost always have enough image circle to allow for a pretty significant shift - it should be about twice as wide as the sensor, maybe even more. An APSC lens on an adapter to APSC body - in almost all cases - would have an image circle that just barely outsizes the sensor. So shifting off-center would quickly pull in vignetting and even bring the lens barrel wall into frame unless there's additional optics involved (basically the opposite of a speed-booster - image circle would have to be blown up rather than shrunken) 3) There are some amazing lenses available on the used market in those other families, but just remember it's a "dumb" adapter in that electronics connections are not present. So manual lenses or at least mechnically over-ride-able lenses would be needed. That's probably another reason why there is no x-to-x adapter. Almost all x-mount lenses require electronic interfacing with the body. 4) I was a little disappointed to find out this adapter doesn't allow for rotation of the tilt axis relative to the shift axis. The whole adapter can rotate (and has 16 lock positions as it does) but as far as I can tell, if it's shifting left/right it'll tilt up or down and if it's shifting up/down it'll tile left or right. That works find for most imaginable use cases but it would be more fun and more versatile if those tilting and shifting axes could be freely rotated independently. All that said, I got myself one a few weeks ago (the nikon f-mount version) with a distagon 25mm and I've been thrilled with what it can do.
Unfortunately that won't work, because the way native lenses and camera mounts are designed means the lens focuses perfectly to infinity when mounted flush to the camera. If you add extra space between the native lens and native camera, the lens won't be able to focus to infinity anymore and will become a macro focus only lens. This is why we can only make tilt-shift adapters for lenses that were designed for different mount cameras that had more space between the lens and the film plane/sensor. That extra space needed for the non-native lens to focus to infinity is the space we use for the adapter.
It's theoretically possible, but it would have to be razor thin because there's only less than a millimeter of difference between Sony E-mount and Fuji X-mount focal flange distances, so it would have to just be a paper thin piece of metal with no room for electronics, which means it would only work with fully manual Sony E-mount lenses. As far as I can tell none exist at this time, but it's worth looking into. Maybe someone has made a 3D printed one and mentioned it on a forum somewhere.

Make the ND throttle apapter for nikon f to nikon z without the ND filter! At the moment I can't use my 35mm 1.8g DX lens on my Z6 as an FX lens, which is a pretty common use case btw. I want to force the camera into FX mode when that lens is mounted but the software prohibits me from doing that. I want a simple adapter so I can use it as an FX lens but this 35mm has no manual aperture control. So the ND throttle allows manual control of the aperture, and I can force the camera to stay in FX mode but I have to stop down the lens to reduce the vignetting since it's a DX lens. So I don't want an ND filter on top of that reducing my light. I want a dumb adapter with manual aperture control. You guys were close but added a stupid ND filter. It would be a good idea if you offered a version without it.
Nice! I have the minolta MC ROKKOR - PG 1.2 58MM and i bought a mount adaptor when i used to have a canon and it didn't work. The focal range was really small it acted like a macro lens. Is there a way I can find out if a specific canon ef-s lenses electronically communicate with my Fuji x-mount camera? I’m interested in the Fotodiox Pro Fusion Adapter. The 2 lenses I’m talking about is the ef-s 10-18 and ef-s 18-135.
Hi E MC2, unfortunately at this time we don't have a full list of compatible EF-S lenses, but the adapter does work with the majority of first party Canon lenses out there, and since Canon started making EF-S lenses in 2003 we're fairly confident both of those lenses should work on our adapter. Worst case, we do have a 14 day return policy in the rare chance you have any issues.
Unfortunately not, because when you put space between a native lens and a native camera, you lose the ability to focus to infinity and the lens becomes a macro only lens.

@@ramonvasconcelos Hi Ramon, unfortunately we don't make a Nikon to Nikon Tilt-shift adapter because of this limitation. We do offer a Nikon to Sony E-mount auto focus adapter. Here's the link: fotodioxpro.com/products/nkg-sne-fsn-mk2 We don't offer a Nikon to Fuji auto adapter at this time.
Why isn't there a tripod mount on the shift adapter? would be nice, otherwise you have parralax problems by stitching pictures together, since you shift the lens and not the sensor!
We generally don't make adapters to go from one mirrorless system to another, simply because most mirrorless systems have extremely short focal flanges that don't differ enough to give us room to put an adapter with electronic communication pins. one notable exception is our Micro 4/3 to Sony E-mount adapter, but it only works with manual only Micro 4/3 lenses.
We do currently offer one version: it's a tilt shift adapter but it works like a normal adapter too: fotodioxpro.com/collections/lens-mount-adapters/products/tltrokr-p6-fxrf
Hi This video is useful, however I am looking for an adapter to fix my Nikon FX format 19mm shift lens to Fujifilm XT3. I want the 19mm image to be uncropped (or to get the full frame image of the lens on the APS sensor of the camera) Your advice is appreciated Thanks
There's less than a 1mm difference between the two mounts, so there wouldn't be much room for the adapter and the electronics you'd need to get the Sony lens to talk to the Fuji X camera.
That would be extremely difficult to make since we'd only have less than a millimeter of space to work with. This is because the focal flange distance of Sony E-mount is 18mm, while the focal flange distance of Fuji X is just slightly slimmer at 17.7mm. So, whole there may be space for a manual adapter, there's just not enough space for an auto lens adapter.
Unfortunately not, because there's no extra space between a native lens and native camera to put an adapter. If you did, the lens would lose the ability to focus to infinity and become a macro focus only lens. This is why we can only adapt lenses with longer focal flange distances than the cameras we're adapting them to: the extra space the non-native lens's longer focal flange distance gives us is where we can put the adapter.
Most of these adapters are manual focus only. The only two that will give you auto focus is our Canon to FUJI FUSION and our Leica M to Fuji Pronto. Here are the links. FUSION: fotodioxpro.com/products/eos-fxrf-pro-fusion PRONTO: fotodioxpro.com/products/lm-fxrf-prn
Fotodiox Inc thanks! I think few users would buy it, BUT is in the pratice is an EF mount with minor differences. Some japanese guy modded a SD Quattro with a EF mount. Even a Sa-to RF mount would be an easy adapter, technically near to a EF-RF
@@FotodioxInc Last but not least, the EF to Sa-mount (allow to use Canon EF lens on Sigma cameras) is probably the easier to design due to the similarities between the mounts. A similar adapter would allow to Sigma SD1 Merril and Sd Quattro to use Canon EF lens. I am literaly preordering one!
@@FotodioxInc Thanks! I corrige myself: the SA to RF adapter is the onliest possible, allowed by the shorter distance of the new RF mount (which is the same of a EF mount).
Hi Rafael, it could be a number of issues depending on what adapter you're using. Please contact our tech support team here for assistance: fotodioxpro.com/pages/contact-us
Currently we don't offer any Fuji X lens to Canon or Nikon camera adapters. This is because the Fujifilm X-mount has a 17.7 mm focal flange distance, while Canon EF has a 44mm, Canon RF has a 20mm, and Nikon F has a 46.50 mm focal flange distance. So because the Fuji X flange distance is shorter, you can't adapt it to those camera mounts and maintain infinity focus. The only Nikon camera mount that has a shorter focal flange distance than Fuji X is Nikon's mirrorless Nikon Z system, which is 16 mm, but we don't currently make a Fuji X to Nikon Z adapter.
Unfortunately that won't work because FUJI X-mount lenses have a 17.7 mm focal flange distance, while Sony E-mount has an 18 mm focal flange distance, so the FUJI X lenses don't have long enough focal flange distances to adapt to a Sony E-mount camera and maintain infinity focus.
It's technically possible, but we don't currently offer one. The biggest challenge would be to fit the necessary electronics to get a Micro 4/3 lens to communicate with a Fuji camera into the narrow space needed to maintain correct focal flange distance.

Can you confirm that your PL adapter will work with a DZO Pictor 20-55mm T2.8 cine lens? (on my XH1).
is it possible to mount a Sony E-Mount to a Fujifilm? is there any adapter in existence or is there no way it can be done?
It's theoretically possible, but it would have to be razor thin because there's only less than a millimeter of difference between Sony E-mount and Fuji X-mount focal flange distances, so it would have to just be a paper thin piece of metal with no room for electronics, which means it would only work with fully manual Sony E-mount lenses. As far as I can tell none exist at this time, but it's worth looking into. Maybe someone has made a 3D printed one and mentioned it on a forum somewhere.
@@FotodioxInc thanks for your reply, I've been looking for about half-hour to no avail. I was even searching to change the mounting plate, do you think that is possible?

I noticed Contax/Yashica as one of the cameras you have an adapter for. Does it mean that I can use my Contax RTS II CarlZeiss T* lenses on my Fujifilm XT-30 body with one of your adapters? If so which one? Thanks.
Hi John, yes, the lenses that you use on that camera should be contax/yashica mount and they will work with this adapter on your FUJIFILM XT-30. Here's the link: fotodioxpro.com/products/cy-fxrf?_pos=1&_sid=4bd0dd67d&_ss=r

What kind of lenses do you want to adapt?
@@FotodioxInc i m interested in fotodiox dlx stretch. Can i use this with some cheap lens like 7artisans, yongnuo etc or any third party lenses.
@@MrNobody-tz6cg Unfortunately you can't put extra space between a Sony E-mount lens and a Sony E-mount camera. If you do, it makes the lens a macro focus only lens. This is why we can only make adapters like the DLX line for adapting non-native lenses with longer focal flange distances to native cameras.
Is the Mamiya 645 lens format the same that is used on the old M645 bayonet, or is that a different mount? Haven't been able to quite figure that out anywhere. Thanks!
Yes, it's the same.
Why adaptors are not made to mount Sony eps c lenses on Fuji x mount?

Thanks for the suggestion! I passed it on to our design team.
Nice! I have the minolta MC ROKKOR - PG 1.2 58MM and i bought a mount adaptor when i used to have a canon and it didn't work. The focal range was really small it acted like a macro lens. Now i have the XT4 and i would love to get one that works perfectly. Which one would you recommend from your store?
You'll need a Minolta MD/MC to Micro 4/3 adapter. We offer a couple versions of this adapter from a basic version to versions with different functions built in. Here's a link to all of them: fotodioxpro.com/collections/lens-mount-adapters/lens-mount_minolta-md-mc-sr+camera-mount_micro-four-thirds
The ND Throttle version is very useful for filmmaking because it has a built-in variable ND filter: fotodioxpro.com/collections/lens-mount-adapters/products/md-mft-p-ndthrtl
Fotodiox Inc Thanks much for the fast reply. I appreciate it.
Can I adapt a Nikon lens to a Nikon camera using a tilt-shift adapter? I just want to add the functionality.
Unfortunately not, because when you put space between a native lens and a native camera, you lose the ability to focus to infinity and the lens becomes a macro only lens.

What mount does the Sigma lens have? Sigma makes lenses for multiple camera mounts.
Is Canon RF to Fuji X in the works or are there technical limitations?
We generally don't make adapters to go from one mirrorless system to another, simply because most mirrorless systems have extremely short focal flanges that don't differ enough to give us room to put an adapter with electronic communication pins. one notable exception is our Micro 4/3 to Sony E-mount adapter, but it only works with manual only Micro 4/3 lenses.
I have a fuji xt1 and would like to use my nikon 10-20mm dx af-p lens what adapter would you recommend

@@FotodioxInc Thank you for your reply
Is there availabile m42 mount to fuji dlx adapter? I am using helios 44 on my XT1.
Why are there no Sony E to Fuji X adapters in the world?
There's less than a 1mm difference between the two mounts, so there wouldn't be much room for the adapter and the electronics you'd need to get the Sony lens to talk to the Fuji X camera.
@@FotodioxInc that’s too bad. Everyone else can adapt whatever they want but I’ll never get to adapt my Sony FE lenses to my Fuji.
Sony E mount to X mount which can retain autofocus for full frame 100-400/200-600 lenses...?
That would be extremely difficult to make since we'd only have less than a millimeter of space to work with. This is because the focal flange distance of Sony E-mount is 18mm, while the focal flange distance of Fuji X is just slightly slimmer at 17.7mm. So, whole there may be space for a manual adapter, there's just not enough space for an auto lens adapter.
Any adapter to turn my x mount lens into a tilt shift?
Unfortunately not, because there's no extra space between a native lens and native camera to put an adapter. If you did, the lens would lose the ability to focus to infinity and become a macro focus only lens. This is why we can only adapt lenses with longer focal flange distances than the cameras we're adapting them to: the extra space the non-native lens's longer focal flange distance gives us is where we can put the adapter.
Fotodiox Inc thank you!
Will autofocus work with adaptors
Most of these adapters are manual focus only. The only two that will give you auto focus is our Canon to FUJI FUSION and our Leica M to Fuji Pronto. Here are the links.
FUSION: fotodioxpro.com/products/eos-fxrf-pro-fusion
PRONTO: fotodioxpro.com/products/lm-fxrf-prn
There isn't a Sigma sa-mount to Fuji?
Unfortunately we don't offer any adapters that support Sigma SA-mount lenses at this time.
A similar adapter would allow to Sigma SD1 Merril and Sd Quattro to use Canon EF lens.

hey! i need an adapter for voigtländer nokton 1.4/35mm on x-pro2. which one do you recommend? thank you
How do I use my fuji x lenses on a canon or Nikon cameras?
Im looking for a x mount to sony e mount but i can't find any
Unfortunately that won't work because FUJI X-mount lenses have a 17.7 mm focal flange distance, while Sony E-mount has an 18 mm focal flange distance, so the FUJI X lenses don't have long enough focal flange distances to adapt to a Sony E-mount camera and maintain infinity focus.
Neat stuff!
Does it work with mitakon and helios?
Depends on what mounts those lenses have. If they have Fujifilm X-mounts then no, because adapters can't go between native lenses and native cameras.
How to adapt a micro four third lens in fuji x camera body?
It would be possible to do this, but at this time no one we're aware of offers an adapter like this.
Hi everyone! Could you say wich adapter i need to put my m zuiko 12-40 f2.8 on fujifilm xh1?
How about m4/3 to fuji x?
It's technically possible, but we don't currently offer one. The biggest challenge would be to fit the necessary electronics to get a Micro 4/3 lens to communicate with a Fuji camera into the narrow space needed to maintain correct focal flange distance.
Clever stuff
I need adapter for m 4/3 ?
What kind of lens are you trying to adapt?
Fujion x , 18-55 and viltrox 23 mm
