That telescopic test pipe is pretty amazing. I don't think I'd seen one of those before, that'd work good on my wagon pipe I'm building. Great video as always Jon!
Nice work. Everything's coming together super clean 👌. I've seen some legit modifications of the OEM cross member to get the headers to fit, but I'm sure the traction bar will look cleaner
LOL I ran into so weird problems on my Accord most of the headers I found didn't fit so I had to take one off a prelude it's sounds strange but it's the only one that has a o2 sensor port that fits your videos are very helpful thanks as always
No strange thing the ones made for accords you can't use you o2 sensor the prelude actually has one in the front the other one that's made for the Accord has the o2 sensor port on the side so I used the headers and o2 sensor it fit perfectly the cross member gave me issues to that why I love theses car
Nice... Keep up the good work! I like your thinking, craftsmanship and choice of nice parts. I might have tried to rework that Crossmember differently. Section, weld er' up, grind smooth, clean and a quick paint. Subbed.
Thank you so much! I know, it's super ugly. I've since replaced it with the Innovative traction bar and it looks fantastic now! Hope you enjoy the future content!

Hello! I’ve encountered same fitment problem. Will this header fit Innovative traction bar perfectly? I just can’t find any header for b16 beside this Thank you
Love the vids, just subed, but man you need a tig welder, hurt to watch that sexy pipe get murdered lol my skunk 2 parts are starting to arrive, cant wait until my girl starts looking like this, i think im going to go with a j32 with a turbo tho. +SI RICKO dude thanks for that man!! I was considering the K Tuned just to try it out but Innovative I'm staying. It seems to be the best one out there! And I secretly want that supercharger for this car, I think it would be such a fun setup for some spirited runs!!
Try to keep the weílding tip a little bit closer it should help my o.c.d. wouldn't let me do that to mine but I see why you did it I done the Integra GS hub's on it I'd like to do ABS and then the Integra motor swop after that.
Hi, sorry for bothering you in this video, but I would like to ask you if you could tell me where you have the oxygen sensors in the heads, I have a 91 Civic with the same b16a obd0 engine. Thank you very much and I like your work with the Hondas.
+Anthony Singh it hasn't, and I have Hasport Mounts so there is very little movement to begin with. I only drive the car for fun so it won't be driven much until I can get the bar.
Hey man, exhaust looks great, fits really well with the setup. Do you have a cel for o2 sensors? What did you do for the new setup? I have a check engine on currently for the o2 sensors, I know you have to run 1 to C8 in the ecu and the 2nd to C16 I believe, just curious to see what you did.
Garage Built Hondas really? That’s interesting I’ve read countless threads on having to run 2 o2 sensors if you’re running the stock obd0 computer. Is yours chipped to only look for one?
Nope, completely stock. It'll sometimes slightly bog on the freeway after doing a steady speed for a long period of time. I had to look that one up a long time ago, other than that nothing. And this is on both b16's. The PR3 in my hatch and the PW0 in my sedan. No issues at all.
Garage Built Hondas ah I see that’s very interesting, maybe I have a bad o2 sensor or something. I believe the pw0 is the actually crx sir computer and the pr3 is from the Integra xsi. They have different intakes with different vacuum lines which I guess could cause an idle issue Depending on how it’s hooked up. My vtec cracks around 5200 while I’ve read on the pw0 it’s supposed to crack around 4900. Obd0 always amazes me haha
What should I do to make my 91 civic exhaust fit better on b18 headers? I'm not able to fit the exhaust in the rubber hangers they're way off. I had to hang the exhaust up with wire
Garage Built Hondas thnk you for reply back John & I just broke mine coupe days ago but I can’t find one OBD0 b16a And my vtec still works I ask some many people and they said is okay if I don’t have the knock sensor in OBD0 they said you only need it OBD2
Hey man I'm in the army just got stationed in el paso, I have a del sol. I have alot ot work I need to get done, are there any areas I can go to rent lifts and tools, etc.?
I don't know of any spot that rents a garage that has a lift where you can do you own work. You can rent an assortment of tools from AutoZone or O'Reilly's.
Surprisingly I've had it on since this video and it's still a nice golden color! I couldn't believe it! My 1320 Toda style header on my b20 looks like poo compared to this.

By any chance did you have any clearance issues when you installed that radiator? I don’t know why my hood isn’t clearing it, and mine comes up above the support just as much as yours does
Ok cool thanks, I was gonna notch mine but wasn’t sure if maybe there was something I didn’t do right, I thought I was the only one having this problem, thanks for the info though!
Hey John I have question my O2 sensor broke OBD0 b16A 1990 ef hatch Si do u know where I can find one ? I have a check engine light on and the car not running strong like before is running but I don’t feel the power I believe is bc I don’t have the 02 sensor help please.
I just bought a 91 Accord Ex Sedan and put in new gaskets, both belts etc. Are Honda leaks serious? I notice experienced Honda guys don't seem to fret over them. Thanks. Great vids.

Alright sweet and I got a question for headers I got a b18b1 and I saw u had the DC racing headers and then a 1320 and now these which one would u recommend ?

+xacoviex Usually all 4-1 hang low just because the way that they come together before the collector. EF's don't have a lot of ground clearance already so I usually stick to the 4-2-1 style. No Facebook, sorry! Got an Instagram?
is it me or do the welds and overall build quality of that header seem pretty mediocre? i know Skunk2 is classic and all but it just seemed like the quality wasn't all that great :\
+E Honda The welds are great, but I agree with the cleanliness of the welds around the flange could be a tad cleaner, overall though I'm really happy with it. The car sounds excellent and it felt so good to drive. I hadn't driven it in forever but it felt really strong!

It's a stock b16. 4-2-1 can help with torque and this engine needs it.

More top end. Google the header differences. You can read some interesting info.

One of the cleanest Hondas especially on RUclips man.
+nitro spark much appreciated for that comment and thanks!!
As usual

I'm sure. I haven't worked on a K series but from what I've watched/seen I do have to agree with you.
with the stock cut temp cross member in place being 1mm away, when testing it hard, won't it flex a bit there to cause markings?

The o2 sensor is on the exhaust manifold. There is only 1 for this car.
@@GarageBuiltHondas OK, at the end of the exhaust manifold, right? I have the two o2 sensors connected to the first two pipes of the exhaust manifold.
That works. Do you have a b16 also? Obd0?
@@GarageBuiltHondas Yes, I have the b16a but it is the European version called b16a1, and yes, obd0 too.
Does it feel faster?
I'm looking for a header for my b16 and I would be interested to know if you thought this header was worth it.
Maybe it was just me, but my butt dyno said it felt faster! The stock manifold compared to this felt weak!
Would this clear stock ac fan on a em1?
Hey bro doesn’t it rub when the engine racks forward and backwards?

Try swapping it out. I was going to add the 2nd o2 when I first did the swap but didn't give me problems so I left it alone.
Gotta get some scrap metal to practice that welding man
But its a sick build
What I really need to do is get a much better welder. Lol
Garage Built Hondas yes amd try to keep the mig closer to you’re weld so the argon keeps it from sputtering as much
