    1320's shit is pure legit stuff!! Good build quality and looks , good prices!! Bought their stuff (parts) quite a few times for past Honda builds.

    Great job on the install. I like the new Allen head hardware you used to fit the new header. It looks really sharp and the car sounds great. I like how the header looks burnt in.

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  7 лет назад +1

      Me too, I love how it looks bronzish but after it gets burnt it looked rough, like a mean rough. I had been wanting to try the hardware to spice up the look of the header since the old nuts/bolts look so worn out.

    IMO the test pipe made a much bigger difference than the header upgrade.
    One thing I do like about the header is the stainless collars around the allen bolts - that should make everything much easier to remove in the future.
    Traction bar upgrade was cool. One of the few mods I never did on my Civics.

    Great install video as always jon! Love how the wife is their rolling wit you and loving it! That's so cool! Been wanting to upgrade my exhaust cuzz im still running the original exhuast and exhaust manifold but its really starting to show its age with little leaks on the pipe towards the muffler! Sounds like your yellow crx sounded when you frist got it. Great job as always! 👍✌☝

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  7 лет назад +1

      I hate that farting sound, lol! And man it was so fun that she came out! I have a little more footage of that in the next video which really made me laugh so hard! What kind of header/exhaust are you thinking of going with?

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  7 лет назад +1

      That's a tough one trying to find that piece. Might be difficult. Another option would be getting the ebay exhaust for your car, maybe it's like $100 also? Then get a muffler of your choice welded into it instead of the crappy ebay ones. That way you'll have all mandrel bent piping and I bet it would be cheaper than having a muffler shop make one which may be a crush-bent system.

  • @RonnieGonzales520
    @RonnieGonzales520 7 лет назад +2

    that header looks sweet bro...my next upgrade will be the innovative traction bar for sure gives so much clearance I'm really surprised it's a pound heavier..the car sounds great it did get deeper..it's really cool your wife got to go with you on the track sounds like she had fun nervous or not lol.

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  7 лет назад +2

      I couldn't believe it either. I swear it was going to be 2-4 lbs lighter!! I'm so glad the exhaust sounds better now, it was a little too rough on the drums, and in the next video I have a couple more clips of her with me at the track, it's pretty darn funny too!

    Dude, I have a 1991 with a B18C type R Spec R 1998 in it with LS type R transmission. I would be having lot of fun at that track haha. Lowered on KYB shock and eibach springs. Innovatives tractions bar(same as in vid), innovative motor/trans mounts.
    Just having trouble upshifting from 2nd to 3rd in up 4k rpm. No problem downshifting tho. I think last owner slammed that gear lol
    Well I am loving that car hah.

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  7 лет назад

      xacoviex That'd be sick, you'd love it! It's a really fun track and sounds like your car is already ready for it!! It sucks having transmission problems like that. My 91 Si B16 transmission has that problem going into 2nd and 3rd, I hate it! 😒

    • @xacoviex

    Gotta run that Innovative front torque engine mount too. The motor will barely move and really cuts down on wheel hop

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  7 лет назад

      stunnasam21 I'm gonna look into it. The Innovative mounts I have now seem to work pretty well. The extra stiffness would be nice.

    • @stunnasam21
      @stunnasam21 7 лет назад +1

      Garage Built Hondas there's an adaptor bracket to bolt up ($25), then the mount itself ($110). I don't know if they come in different bushing stiffness. Mine feels like the 60A. I got them both off swapshopracing.com.

    The speed factory burnt titanium header studs would look good with that header after it changed color. They look a bit more durable as well ,imho. Great vid tho. I'm doing a b20vtec rebuild and I think I'm gonna go with that 1320 toda header now too

    • @RockinMTB
      @RockinMTB 6 лет назад +1

      I like that the header has gussets on top of the main runners where it meats the flange to prevent weld cracking. Looks like it has stepped tubing also. The flange looks thick and heavy duty too. Just looks like a solid product!

    Oh awesome once again. I do plan on getting a traction bar as well for my EJ1 B20z1 coupe and maybe a SKUNK2 IM. VERY curious about that dyno man. Let's see what some bolt-on's and a good tune can do with a stock B20z :)

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  7 лет назад

      I'm kinda nervous that with the skunk2 IM, TB, header and test pipe I'll make like 7 extra HP. That would royally be a let down! lol I need to convert to obd1 also so I can have it tuned. That'll be the best option I believe for it.

    • @roelpastors9588
      @roelpastors9588 7 лет назад +1

      Ithink you'll make more looking at how restrictive that cat was. I think a good 10HP increase at least considering the bolt ons. If not then it's def the tune so yes OBD1 conversion , and then Chrome or Hondata. Either way I'm on the edge of my seat :)

    Some extra work for no reason... leave the radius bars attached to cross member and just drop the cross member as a whole

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  7 лет назад +1

      +Charles Premdas Not for what I was doing. I wanted to test the OEM crossmember with the 1320 header. Removing the 2 nuts at the front of the radius rod was no difficult at all. and made it easier to move it around while lying on the ground trying to hold it back up against the car. I dont find removing 2 17mm nuts difficult.

      Garage Built Hondas do you feel a real gain with tube heads vs stock manifold? I have a 2001 Accord Ex with 3.0 J30a1 engine and just did exhaust work, did cat delete, kept stock resonator and no mufflers.

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  7 лет назад

      +ACDC4201 definitely! Mine probably wasn't as big initially since I already had a header and exhaust, but it's now more free flowing. On a stock system, freeing up that power will add some HP easily. May not be a ton but with quality header & exhaust you'll make between 7-15 potentially.

      Garage Built Hondas thanks for the feed back, I'm just getting an opinion before making an investment on headers.

    You got a part number for this? I’ve got a Megan racing header and it’s absolute garbage and scrapes on everything on stock height. I’ve heard great things about 1320 and it looks like this header would fit perfect on my 95 civic

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  4 года назад

      I dont, just look up 1320 Toda Style B Series Header. I haven't seen anything bad about the 1320 products at all.

    Looks and sounds good! Hows the ground clearance of that header? I have the s2 alpha and it hangs super low on my hatch.

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  6 лет назад +1

      Better than the S2. I have the alpha on my Si and the collector doesn't tuck up as nicely. Think I'm going to take it to a muffler shop and have them cut/adjust it.

      I don't want to leave links up there as they expire eventually but I got the header and test pipe off of ebay. The seller is actually the 1320 company. You can find it by searching "b header toda 1320" and it has the option for a test pipe or not for a little extra dough. I bought the traction bar from Sparktecmotorsports.com. They had the best price on it when I got it about 3 weeks ago for $248. The header is usually $265ish. Test pipe is about $30-50. Mine wasn't from them as I bought it about 2 years ago off of ebay but had never purchased a header until recently.

    Do you think it'd be worth putting a 1320 header on a stock b20 in a 2000 crv? And if I did..would I have to run 2.5 inch all the way back and replace my stock muffler?

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  4 года назад +1

      Only if you plan on running a larger exhaust. It might give you a couple extra HP.

  • @16ValveVtec

    Jon ive had this traction bar for quite a while now havent installed it, how many threads did you end up goin with on the radius rods?

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  7 лет назад +1

      I didn't count the rotations. But it was at least 2/3rds the way all the way screwed into the radius rod. Since I have energy suspension LCA bushings, the LCA's really didn't move when I removed the fork and radius rod, so when I installed the Inno rods and bar I barely moved the LCA back a notch when putting on the rods.

    Hey awesome video. Can I ask you a question. I did a b16 swap into an ek and I put a header on and left my catalytic and resonator on. a day after my check engine came giving me a code for the cat. So I went to a muffler shop to ask about it and they told me that because I'm running headers the extra heat burned it up. Is this actually possible? And if it is would a high flow cat last longer?

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  7 лет назад +1

      That doesn't sound right at all. Extra heat? I would look into that info first, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt before saying its BS. A high flow cat won't give any extra longevity, better flow and a little more power, yes, but not last any longer. Look into the header creating more heat. Let me know what you find, I'm interested in knowing if its a myth of true.

    What 1320 headers did you get. I want to get some for the B20. But I want to make sure the runners match the port on the head. I’ve herd like gsr or b16 headers won’t fit due to the ports being little bigger. 1320 has one that says for CRV. I’m sure those will match the ports but not sure it will fit ok in my 91 EF Si

    • @GarageBuiltHondas
      @GarageBuiltHondas  5 лет назад +1

      All B series are the same. They sometimes don't match up to custom exhaust setups though. *I got the Toda style 1320 headers that are a one piece.*

    You know.... a silencer will actually make it sound better bcs the silencer creates a sound which seems like the car is much more aggressive... kind of like when you want to show off your car, if you don’t give it all you got, ppl will never know how much hp you actually have you know lol... so like the silencer will make the car sound like your not having to
    (Dawg) the car to go fast. Bcs it’s the drone that makes it seem like the motors at its max when it’s not.
