  • August 2023. Join me for some fresh air and that satisfying feeling when you get to chop and cut thick weeds and see the nicely mowed finished product! Today I'll be doing some property management by tackling our Southern Illinois mile long gravel driveway ditches, some of which are very steep and washed out. I'll be using the bushwhacker MD-144 12 foot batwing mower (triple rotary cutter). Join me for some fun and an escape from the office or home, or whatever kind of escape you need! Oh yes no doubt! And now for the final act of catching up on driveway cleanup, I'll break out the mini excavator brush cutter and knock down all of them 12' Plus trees right on the edge! Thanks have a great day.

Hey Kap, good day to get the chores outta the way, huh? I've been doing tons of outdoor chores and it's been one hell of a blistering hot time of year. My wife and I will NOT ever get tired of winter weather. We love it when it's cold. You can move and breathe a whole lot better. I just finished outdoor chores just in time too. The torrential rains just swooped in unannounced and clobbered us. I'll definitely take it if it cools down this damn heat.😰😓 Hope you and Sharon are doing well. All is well at our homestead. Talk with you later brother. S/F Don 👍🏽🤠 8/26/23

Hey Don, I hear you on the heat! Just today we got rain and a cooler front moving in! I'm surprised you don't move farther North if you like the cold! Good to hear things are well. Take care down there! SF Kap

@@kapperoutdoors We're from PA (I'm from Chambersburg, my bride's from little town beside Gettysburg) and both of us visit home regularly but work opportunities were limited when I got out the Corps. That was when she and I were still in our prime and both competitive in the working force. So, decades later, we are dug-in settled and after decades of traveling from one duty station to another, my wife and I are tired of moving and we're not at the age to start from scratch all over again. We're in our 70's and our so-called young years (when we were full of energy) are far behind us. Moving and strting from scratch is no longer an option. If either of us passed, I think the other would pull up stakes and move to a cooler climate. So for now I guess, this be it! 😁

Great machine that 💪 when your close to the edge why don't you slip the tractor drawbar over to the right and that way you'll keep the tractor away from the edge 🤔👍

Good call I've been meaning to try that, but it seems like it would only gain me like 3 or 4 inches mabye? Also on the 2nd pass I try to go the opposite direction, so the offset would have a negative impact on the opposite pass direction. Cheers man thanks have a good evening!

On the drawbars we have over here moving it as far over as possible would probably give you 6 to 8 inches then if you take the length of the drawbar on the machine think you'll find it offsets by about 14 to 18 inches 👍 have a good day 💪
