Heck of a workout for the Rhino Ag brush mower. That pasture was overdue for the clearing that the mower out performed any expectations again. A far better marketing tool than a fancy advertising campaign done by non farmers. Great upload and more pasture for more cattle.
Absolutely great video! When I watched this video my thoughts return to the fire. I live close to the Carr fire in California and had to evacuate my home , I am back now and everything is ok at my place but over a thousand homes and buildings were burnt. Part of the problem was poor forest management. It is great to see you doing the right thing!
Mate I have a new rhino 6200 20 foot galvanised sitting in my shed here in Australia and I got it after watching yours work on your channel cheers Ryan
This one by far has been the heaviest cutting action. I'm anxious to see what happens when the 4155 goes back. Hopefully, a suitable replacement is found that can do even more foliage destruction as they require.
Well!!!! That what I would call putting your mower Thu its paces. And it definitely stood up to the job. Nice video Ryan. Thanks for taking us along......
You should check to see if Rhino makes a forestry mulcher head for your bobcat. If not look into hiring one for a day or two, they can completely clear your fence lines, overgrown areas with ease.
That was a great job of pasturizing that woodlot. Of course, everything you did showed where more could be done. At least your pasture could be mowed. On my Grandmother's farm in Maine, it could not be mowed. There was more juniper, cedar, and of course Rocks, than grass. Even her best hay ground is "going back to the Indians" I guess. God Bless you all.
you need that ..what are you going to do when its gone ...and i learn a lot from you and your brother and thank you for you and your family's hard work you put in this country !!!!
Awesome video. If I was to ever have the money and in need of a large mower like this one you have me sold on it after seeing what it can do. This thing really is a BEAST!! I have enjoyed seeing what you get into every time you have the Rhino mower hooked up to the tractor.
Great vid on reclaiming overgrown pasture lands / Rhino 4155 and the Bobcat with grapple bucket . Woods brush can get away before you realize. Stay safe guys.
Great video Ryan !! You guys did pretty good it look like . Now it probably needs the chain saw clip ! Locusts are like a venereal disease, easy to get and a real pain - in more ways than one - to get rid of !! Same goes for the multi-flora roses ! Looks like the Rhino does a good job on just about everything you set it to ! It takes time and hard work to undo years of neglect but you guys are making good progress !
Could you please add some technical details about the tractor you use and the batwing ie: power requirements and pto horsepower etc. Thanks Great vid....................
Always thought a front mounted one on front linkages would be much better even if it’s not as wide as a trailed one, less looking behind you, easier to manoeuvre. Surprising how many tractors don’t have front ptos in the us
y'all should see if you can rent one of those forestry heads for the bobcat it would save Travis some time and really give y'all the ability to open up the areas your working.
I hope that you guys have wes's favorite tire jet in the tires on your deforestation equipment if it is as good as his shotgun video it will save a lot of agrivation
That Bat wing mower seems to do a very good job and between the bobcat and the mower you get things done, But; Would it not be better to just rent or borrow a Forestry Mulcher and just come in and buzz your pasture edges down and leave only the large and very large trees for shade? I do not have the same type of brush and weeds to deal with that you do. Mostly I have to deal with Sage Brush, Black Berry, Juniper, and a little Black Locust.. So mowers like that work for me ..Your thoughts...?
Cobambam bambam I was thinking the same for clearing along your fences. It would make it easier to check and repair the damaged fences any time you would need to.
I realize this was a semi-sponsored video in that Rhino wanted you to show you using their equipment. But have you considered periodic prescribed burns of the area to clear the brush and smaller trees?
I would love to tackle all that brush with the D8 dozer I used to drive, I'd clear the lot and put it all in one big pile for burning. Easy job it would be too.
Robert S a excavator with a hydraulic thumb is much better for clearing jobs it's not as fast but your burn pile won't have all the rocks and dirt mixed in it too which will burning easier
Or a 299d2 xhp with a nice mulching head. Less fuel use then an 8 and most excavators, and also you don’t have to burn anything so you don’t pollute as much.
I have used Rhino equipment before and found them to very durable. Glad to see some things don't change. Question though. Do you have any sort of wood that fire wood people would like? I ask because they might be willing to take some old growth so you can let some new growth grow.
The mower looks like it's well designed and built. What you were doing you would get a lot more cleared with a Brown tree cutter. Check out Cotton tops friends channel on you tube named Hollis Farms, now that's a beast!!!
I know you guys have been waiting for the chance to do this. The Rhino 4155 really is a beast! You're not just saying it either. How much of a headache was it to fly the drone in amongst the trees and brush? When will the bulldozer come out to finish the job, or should we call Cotontop3?
All in due time, of course. It'd be interesting to save an overhead shot from Google Earth or the drone of what it looks like now and compare that picture with one taken in five to ten years. I am certain a lot would change.
Those take a lot of power and flow to run right and you really don't want to run one on a wheeled machine. If they guys can find one they could rent a 5' bush hog attachment for it but I don't know if they have a high flow machine or not. Best thing for them right now is to do what they're doing and bring in that ditch bank mower to reach in on the edges more
We just bought a rhino sr240 20ft for mowing crp and reclaiming some land from red willows and small cottonwood tree's needless to say that awesome to destroy 3 inch tree's
nice jobs Ryan, You guys should think about getting a mulcher attachment for your bobcat althought it was showing those little trees and shubs whos the boss
I believe your BobCat 773 is a high flow unit. you need to get a Barrel type forestry mulcher head . You're using 2 pcs of equipment that 1 can do all by itself and it can take down trees. Since you don't own the batwing, see if RinoAg has a forestry mulching head for the BobCat.
i dont know what the cost of these are but you could hire a forestry mulch er and just spend a day really pushing into it and clear the whole place releasing more pasture for cattle ,,it may be expensive but once the worst is gone then it should be easy for you to keep it down
I think that very much depends on the perspective. I won't try to speak for him, but something tells me he'd have some fun with one if given the chance.
Tell Travis to be extra careful when doing that. One of my friends was clearing land like he is here and a stick came through the front and went straight through his leg.
yes you can mow up to 4 inch thick branches if you have a strong enough tractor lol, if your tractor can run it over it can shred it as long as you dont hit anything metal or wire
Go to the annual Farm Show in Italy ! The europeans make more machines than in the USA that will shread anything even big trees. They make a 3 point Rock shredder. Believe it or not. RUclips is the best answer to see such equipment .
Heck of a workout for the Rhino Ag brush mower. That pasture was overdue for the clearing that the mower out performed any expectations again. A far better marketing tool than a fancy advertising campaign done by non farmers. Great upload and more pasture for more cattle.
Rhino needs to use your footage for their ads. You definitely put it to the test. That’s a well designed and built piece of equipment.
We're not a huge fan of controlled burns
That bass is howling!!!!
Mate I have a new rhino 6200 20 foot galvanised sitting in my shed here in Australia and I got it after watching yours work on your channel cheers Ryan
Craig H awesome! Let me know how it works for you!
A skid steer bush hog attachment would be the ticket. Unbelievable how versatile a skid steer is.
Devilishly satisfying to watch......must be even more satisfying to actually be doing it. Thanks Ryan and Travis!!
I love pasture reclaim videos!!
Jim Estep me to
So satisfying watching those damn bushes, scrub and small trees disappear !
That’s some serious mowing. Gotta day that Rhino gets the job done.
Love watching ya destroy that overgrown mess and taking back some pasture ! Keep them coming !! Thanks.
You should check to see if Rhino makes a forestry mulcher head for your bobcat. If not look into hiring one for a day or two, they can completely clear your fence lines, overgrown areas with ease.

Rhino is high quality that's for sure!
Taking back the land!! Watch out fields here come the Kuster boys 🌳🌿
That Rhino is well built, and makes short work out of a big job, very handy piece of equipment for the farm.👍
you need that ..what are you going to do when its gone ...and i learn a lot from you and your brother and thank you for you and your family's hard work you put in this country !!!!
One way or another, we're going to keep a Rhino mower on the farm!
Never knew woods was so green during the summer!
Now this looks like a fun chore! I've done this with hand tools at my dad's place, and your way looks a lot more effective :).
Buddy. That mower is no joke!!!
Awesome video. If I was to ever have the money and in need of a large mower like this one you have me sold on it after seeing what it can do. This thing really is a BEAST!! I have enjoyed seeing what you get into every time you have the Rhino mower hooked up to the tractor.
How many watts is that dog?
Fred Ivory we don't know, it stopped working, it was feeling a bit ruff
Sid Jones 😂
About 4 paws
Ryan you need to hit that hard with Tordan and Grazon to keep the small bursh and bushes under control in the future.
Oh how I could use that 7600 and the rhino batwing at my uncles farm which is a little over grown and hilly
I'm only 2 minutes into the video....but YES....OMG...more! I love these type of videos.
Great vid on reclaiming overgrown pasture lands / Rhino 4155 and the Bobcat with grapple bucket . Woods brush can get away before you realize. Stay safe guys.
It is what it is !
Damn that mower does a nice job.
Quality counts when you need an implement. Good job. Enjoy your vids.
that machine is a beast Ryan
I agree!
Great video Ryan !! You guys did pretty good it look like . Now it probably needs the chain saw clip ! Locusts are like a venereal disease, easy to get and a real pain - in more ways than one - to get rid of !! Same goes for the multi-flora roses ! Now the cows wont have any where to hide
yes they do
Yep that rhino batwing mower is definitely a beast LOL 👍 👍
Yeah, I learned something. And that something is spelled b-u-l-l-d-o-z-e-r. The really good way to clearing.
I love the time laps in the drone looks great! Keep up the good work
Could you please add some technical details about the tractor you use and the batwing ie: power requirements and pto horsepower etc. Thanks Great vid....................
Nice video Travis was having way to much fun with the Bobcat woohoo !!👍👍👍👍
I like the flat top they have looks like it’d be easy to clean off compared to our bush hog they look really well built!
So much destruction, so little time! How often do the blades get sharpened, and how it that done?
Always thought a front mounted one on front linkages would be much better even if it’s not as wide as a trailed one, less looking behind you, easier to manoeuvre. Surprising how many tractors don’t have front ptos in the us
At the end, he sounded so disappointed that he didn't wreck anything on the mower.
y'all should see if you can rent one of those forestry heads for the bobcat it would save Travis some time and really give y'all the ability to open up the areas your working.
jumping Bobcat was awsome, great work
Nothing can stop the mighty bob cat
Looks like the mower is very well built.
he's rolling on that skid steer lol.
Awesome I've been waiting to see the Rhino mower in action.
I hope that you guys have wes's favorite tire jet in the tires on your deforestation equipment if it is as good as his shotgun video it will save a lot of agrivation

I was thinking the same for clearing along your fences. It would make it easier to check and repair the damaged fences any time you would need to.
I enjoy watching all of the videos that you make. Keep them coming.
Thanks Ryan!
I love your channel it reminds me of the big 1978 8430 John Deere we have and you do a great job with your videos.
I realize this was a semi-sponsored video in that Rhino wanted you to show you using their equipment. But have you considered periodic prescribed burns of the area to clear the brush and smaller trees?
We’re not too big on setting brush on fire. We sometimes burn piles of dead trees, but they don’t burn well enough to justify it.
I would love to tackle all that brush with the D8 dozer I used to drive, I'd clear the lot and put it all in one big pile for burning. Easy job it would be too.
Robert S a excavator with a hydraulic thumb is much better for clearing jobs it's not as fast but your burn pile won't have all the rocks and dirt mixed in it too which will burning easier

we just ran everything over when i cleaned right a ways with a 6040jd with the front brush guard, if the tractor can drive on it it got mowed lol
Robert S o
Travis is having to much fun
Good video Ryan. Have you guys considered a forest mulcher for the Bob Cat to use on the bigger stuff
Are all rhino mowers equipped with drag chains for security. I have a tc40d new Holland
Thanks for sharing Ryan...
Thanks for watching Kevin!
I have used Rhino equipment before and found them to very durable. Glad to see some things don't change. Question though. Do you have any sort of wood that fire wood people would like? I ask because they might be willing to take some old growth so you can let some new growth grow.
We let some people come in and take as much wood as they can.
You should look for a brush mower for your skid steer maybe
The mower looks like it's well designed and built. What you were doing you would get a lot more cleared with a Brown tree cutter. Check out Cotton tops friends channel on you tube named Hollis Farms, now that's a beast!!!
she that mower will gut up to 4+ inches saplings no problem
I know you guys have been waiting for the chance to do this. The Rhino 4155 really is a beast! You're not just saying it either. How much of a headache was it to fly the drone in amongst the trees and brush? When will the bulldozer come out to finish the job, or should we call Cotontop3?
It's never a headache until it hits one! The bulldozer will come around when the money is free to do so, but that might be awhile.
All in due time, of course. It'd be interesting to save an overhead shot from Google Earth or the drone of what it looks like now and compare that picture with one taken in five to ten years. I am certain a lot would change.
Great video Ryan!!! Love the reclaiming of the pastures.
With what you were mowing in the video with that mower. How did you not dull the blades down to where they wouldn’t cut?
They spin fast enough to cut anything.
How hard is it to get the blades off the rhino to sharpen them,or do you use a hand grinder and just leave them on?
Haven't had to sharpen them or replace them yet, honestly.
You need to find you a forestry mulcher for your skid steer. Very handy equipment for a farm. Great video. All people love tearing crap up. Lol
Those take a lot of power and flow to run right and you really don't want to run one on a wheeled machine. If they guys can find one they could rent a 5' bush hog attachment for it but I don't know if they have a high flow machine or not. We just bought a rhino sr240 20ft for mowing crp and reclaiming some land from red willows and small cottonwood tree's needless to say that awesome to destroy 3 inch tree's
awsome job awsome equipment awsome farming family
Great video, that mower is a monster! 😨
After seeing the bobcat spinning and twisting I was surprised there were no public warning announcements advising you to seek cover immediately.
I’ve ran over 4 inch thick trees going forward and backwards with our Bush Hog
Rhino makes a pretty damn nice mower, WOW!
I Enjoyed the video Ryan and Travis too .
nice jobs Ryan, You guys should think about getting a mulcher attachment for your bobcat althought it was showing those little trees and shubs whos the boss
Do you guys have any plans on reseed the area you cleaned up? Looks great what you guys cleaned up.
I fully understand the whole weight sliding around stuff I Bush hog for the town I work for it just happens sometimes
Hey ryan have you ever heard of the brown tree cutter ?? If not look in to it I think it would do your farm some good
Good vid!! The rhino is doing a pretty good job!
Thanks!
Love the new sub woofer!!!!!!!!
Should have shown an overview before and after. Great video.
I don't believe so or else we'd have one! We've had this discussion on the farm between us quite a bit!
How have the blades on that mower held up? Can't recall you mentioning them in all the time you've had it.
They're doing good. I'll do a review/assesment video on it in the future.
Awesome drone work.
Have you ever broke the drive shafts or the cutting blades? Are there any shear pins in the system?
I think it has slip clutches rather than shear pins
That mower does have slip clutches...and with a large tractor you can slip them on some heavy stuff...I know because I changed some out yesterday.
Excellent Videos watch all of them thanks
Thanks for watching Joel!
If rhino makes a brush hog for skidsteer maybe you could demo one they work great for what you were doing
More batwing vids please!
Great video but can someone tell me why there are chains on the 4155
mulka kids think of it as a curtain that stops, for the most part, debris like rocks and chunks of wood flying out and hitting something or someone.
Bill Craddock Thanks 😐
Will you take down some bigger trees to? To allow the sun to get to the ground.
Probably not. Bigger ones can stay, it's the brush and smaller trees under them that need controlling.
Enjoyed watching Ryan
i dont know what the cost of these are but you could hire a forestry mulch er and just spend a day really pushing into it and clear the whole place releasing more pasture for cattle ,,it may be expensive but once the worst is gone then it should be easy for you to keep it down
Do you have trouble with the wings on your mower? Mine seem to never unfold perfect and I was wondering if there was a trick.
Not particularly unless there's problems with the cylinders. If you're having issues, I would suggest starting with the tractor!
that is tough mower.wish I had one back in ND.i would have made some hunting spots in the woods with it.
I like the mowing videos.
Thanks Chris!
Love your videos but especially mowing videos
have you ever thought about plowing the areas you just mowed
I would be worried about wash as well as the roots if we were to use the chisel plow.
It’s a good thing Travis doesn’t have a bulldozer!
I think that very much depends on the perspective. I won't try to speak for him, but something tells me he'd have some fun with one if given the chance.
Awesome video Ryan🚜👍👍👍
Tell Travis to be extra careful when doing that. One of my friends was clearing land like he is here and a stick came through the front and went straight through his leg.
What!? You can mow such thick wood with that thing??? Do they sell m in Europe? They should
yes you can mow up to 4 inch thick branches if you have a strong enough tractor lol, if your tractor can run it over it can shred it as long as you dont hit anything metal or wire
Alex you could probably get one shipped out to you it just might cost you a chunk of money!

Thanks Jim that was what i was referring to !
Very therapeutic.
