Congrats!!! Good for you... NOW you'll get a lot more done in less time... That 12 foot should cut some nice roads through the brush... I can hardly wait to see you put it to work... I can just see Mrs. Kapper giving it a good work out also . She'll have some fun cutting with it... LOL... You are truly a very blessed man... BBE..
Atta boy Joe! Looks like a real beauty. Can't wait to see it in action especially with the drone footage. You're gonna love it and love the time you will be saving.
I think you made a good choice on the mower. The tire change is good too, because I don't think you can trailer the tractor and mower together. Ten miles one way is a little long to drive the mower and tractor between sites. Now to see how it mows.
You will love the cutter. I just got a new Rhino TS12 and it is awesome. There are several other makes of 12' BW cutters now. Titan Implement, Lowery, Modern Ag, Kodiak to name a few. You did good getting it plumbed that way. I tried my TS12 with the single hose and do not like it because it limits you so I have ordered the full kits they offer since I have 3 SCVs on my tractor.
Yes, you are right, I told them the same thing! But there will be videos soon! I got a decent discount to help them show this beast with real life use! Should be fun! thanks.
No more tight trails for you. Every road just became a mini food plot. Hell of a great addition and tool you will use and expand the trails as well as open up the corn field shooting lanes leaving food in the process. Can you add apples after making vinegar and hard cider?
yeah, sure will be nice to take one pass through the trails! We've got some apple trees around already, just have to take better care of them! thanks Ed.
Funny you brought that up, they had the spec sheet wrong (an old one), the new models have faster speed .They just emailed me a new spec sheet! It is now 14,225 and 14, 500. Good catch!
They do. But I had this one re plumbed since we live in ditch country so that I could raise one up a quater way or more in narrow woods and passes and so forth.
@@kapperoutdoors I meant the wheels on the wings so that when you raise the deck, all 4 wheels go down to lift all 3 decks at the same time instead of the manual adjustment that is on the wings
I have some questions........1) are there separate power controls for the 3 sets of blades ? that is, when 1 wing is up, are those blades still turning ? isn't that dangerous if that's the case ? 2) do you need a license plate to pull that unit on the roads behind the pickup? 3) IF you had a trailer big enough for the Branson AND the B'Whacker, could your pickup pull it ? 4)every time you want to use it at 211 it's going to be 3 trips now, one way, right?
The blades all run together, the operator has to use some common sense and know his/her surroundings. They really should never be running while way up in the air anyway. One of the main reasons I plumbed it like this was so that I could mow ditches that are too steep, so the outer hydraulic will actually hold up the wing if/when that tire is not on the ground. Should work just fine for that. Don't need a license plate to pull it. No, the pick up won't pull it if I could get both on, just too much. Even the dump truck would be pushing it. So yes, this is just part of life when you don't have all the huge equipment, but still want to move around a unit like this. I could also, ride it attached to the tractor if I wanted to.
They function the same way I'm pretty sure, so they will be in float mode I think if I lower them all the way then lift them. I'll test that out! thanks.
Seems like a nice unit. My only concern would be the that the wing wheels are not in sync with the center wheels. When I need to raise the deck while in use, I would not want my wings being supported by the hydraulic cylinders. I would rather them be supported by the wheels.
Kapper Outdoors 2:25 This is what I meant by the cylinders supporting the wings. The wheels on your wings aren’t connected to the wheels in the center. One thing that I’ve noticed is that because of the ratchet turnbuckle setup, makes you take more time if you want to change the cutting height. On my mowers that I’ve had,...if I wanted to change the cutting height, all that was needed was the collars on the rear cylinder. Sometimes I would raise the deck as I’m entering a sharper angled ditch, or cresting a sharper hill. I did that to keep from scalping or dragging the mower across the ground. The height adjustment was needed for different properties. Sometimes I’d cut mine high, and sometimes fairly low. I mowed other properties at different heights as well. That’s what the owners preferred. If I was using this mower, I would have to level it side to side every time that I changed it.
Great piece o equipment looks solidly built think it might make Megatron grunt a little though, wen the going gets tough the tough get going wen the going gets rough 😂
Thanks, we'll see, but I don't think it will be too bad for Megatron. The hills and 5' brush will sure tax it though! But the new model increased the blade tip speed, so that should help too. (I used last years spec sheet!)
Has anyone ever replaced the ratchet adjusters on the wings to Hydraulic Cylinder so the wings can be picked up and down the same as the center sections?
Lmao congratulations on the new hat and the free bat wing bush wacker they through in. I’m still on restriction from the last hat I bought. Seriously this should save a lot of time.
Very nice! I'm glad you'll be the guinea pig, so I can decide next year if I wanna drop the bills for one. :D Sure looks like the mower I want, based on the specs.
Gee thanks bud! Seems like I'm always the guinea pig!!! LOL yeah, this should be a fantastic mower, they even had a new spec sheet for the new models and a couple of things are even improved! (I used last years spec sheet). Looking forward to giving it a run!
Thanks. Yes this is the one I showed a while back. Bushwhacker makes it! They are a family owned company in Arkansas, and they sill hand build and weld all of their machines! They are good people and a great company.
Well, since they include delivery I'll have them bring it. But honestly, I'm not sure if I'll have them bring it to 211 or our home farm just yet! It is shotgun season again this weekend, so after that I may do some mowing at 211 to test it out, so we'll see here next week!
Holy cow, Bat Man, that is one impressive hog. Will you need tail lights for towing it on the public roads? Did you ever consider a Flail type mower? Not that I think they are any better, just different.
I picked up a brochure today at my local dealer & I noticed on the brochure, you can get three other color options with your bush whacker if you choose to. Standard yellow plus Red, blue, & orange is available.
@@clintrussell , thanks for the clarification,..I watched that part twice and still couldn't hear what he said. Not a big deal,..but just wondered. Cheers!
yeah, I have to figure that out, I think you lower it all the way, and then raise it and then it should be in float mode. But probably not when you are lowering it.... Unless they are in float mode all the time since they are only uni directional...?
Float mode is typically achieved by a detent on the hydraulic leaver. Try. Each one both forward and back, at least one will stick beyond the normal range of motion, this will be float. At least one will have it, probably two will.
@@WhiskeyKing813 well I know they all had slowed mode from the factory so I'm thinking both Wings should have slow mode since I think the hydraulic lines should be the same flow..
Float is a setting on the tractor, it has nothing to do with the brush hog itself. Putting the hydraulic valve and Float will let the wing follow the terrain without being held either up or down with any force.
@@WhiskeyKing813 He is correct. It allows hydraulic fluid to flow in and out of the lines without pressure. Your wings will "float" along the terrain on hillsides and such to maintain a constant and even cutting height.

@@kapperoutdoors You reviewed them off of a Bushwhacker promotional brochure. I am simply saying the Bushwhacker isn't being completely honest in their brochure as it compares their heavy duty model to other brands entry models. It doesn't compare apples to apples.
