@Blonde Viper A sense of urgency caused by using an inferior and obsolete gun? I'm gonna pass on that. I wonder if there are any records left that would show who that cavalry Colt was issued to? It might be interesting to know more about the history of that gun and how it got from being an army issue in 1883 to Hickok45's collection in 2022.
Those records are called a “hand receipt”. The armorer maintains the “hand receipt”when the weapon is issued. Once the weapon is turned back into the armorer the “hand receipt” is given to the soldier filled out and dated as turned in. The armorer has the weapon, the soldier has the hand receipt proof he turned in the weapon. So unless the soldier kept that hand receipt as a keep sake is where it could be. Even today the U S Army doesn’t maintain a by name record of who was issued what and when. Since that weapon was in very good condition it may of not been issued much…
Another outstanding video Hickok45! It is amazing that your "pet deer" seemed uninterested in the noise of your shooting . You should put that in a disclaimer at the end No Animals Were Harmed in the making of this video. Keep the videos coming.

It was made to be safe with the Ruger transfer bar safety thing so you could load all 6 rounds instead of 5. Damn, I just love those Colts...
Beautiful collection, I wish the Schofield would've made it a little farther than being one of the first to get tossed! I just got one with a 5 inch barrel, very excited to give her a spin next time I go home.
I'm about a week out from my gunsmith finishing my ruger blackhawk. Putting a square trigger guard on it after gold cerakote on the hammer and grip frame.
They are all regular colt single-action revolvers. Like if you think of the iconic cowboy gun in every movie you think of the Colt single-action army. And then there's just a mf Schofield that snuck his way in there 💀💀💀
I'm not a big gun guy, I however absolutely love any revolver. The one with ivory grip on the top row is gorgeous to me, I gotta own one of these at some point
I like your choice, but all your SAA's are excellent. I noticed one thing since I am a grip maker--the grips on your final choice don't fit well, they could be made perfect but it would take quite a bit of shaping, sanding to get em perfect. If I lived nearby I'd offer to do the job for you, no charge. I am a fan of your videos.
Yeah, I've actually fitted a few myself. It's a miracle that these just happened to fit reasonably well, since I just robbed them off a different gun I sold long ago. I've not tried to improve them because I'm thinking that I'd like to have one-piece stag grips fitted to this Colt and my other one just like it that was also made in 1964. They would make a nice pair. Tough to find stag these days, especially one-piece grips that somebody could fit.

Since that weapon was in very good condition it may of not been issued much…
Beautiful revolvers! I hope to own a Colt single action someday. Thanks for showing us your magnificent collection of these fine firearms.
Another outstanding video Hickok45! It is amazing that your "pet deer" seemed uninterested in the noise of your shooting . You should put that in a disclaimer at the end No Animals Were Harmed in the making of this video. Keep the videos coming.
Wow, what a great collection would be proud to own any of them!
I have two Armi Jager Coles Mod. Frontier in .22lr and a Long barreled in .45 Long Colt. The second one is a gem with its blue steel frame and both have wooden grips.
SO WHERE IS THE HERITAGE ROUGH RIDER????
I have one of those it’s actually my first gun
@@yeboiglitchtrap1420 great first gun
I’ll never get to own a colt (probably never get to shoot one) so I am a big fan of the Rough Rider. I have 2 so far.
Enjoyed this one a lot.life is Good.
I love how the dear just know that hickock45 is cool so they aren’t spooked by the gunshots.
Thought a moment before making a comment...but we all know about opinions...they are like, well here is mine. First generation black powder. Anyone of those old girls. Yes, always a full cleanup. But, as for me, worth every minute. Your presentation was brilliant.
Did a Google search on Colt long colt 45 single action and those prices are astronomical for me at this present time now I do have a Ruger Visceral and I love it. That 45, I’ve used it for a quick draw and I really do enjoy it. It’s a nice firing Revolver. thank you and enjoyed the supper table.
The deer in your neighbor are tough ) didn t even flinch )
This man is a Craftsman, I have a double action, nickel plated Lightning, in pieces in a box, pearl handles and everything. Tore it apart to replace a spring and I will be Darned if I can figure out how it goes back together, love the gun, though.
These revolvers are so beautiful that I almost cry. Thank You so much, "Hickok45" for this video.
1:45 "just to think that someone is going to take all my single actions away, and gonna let me keep just one, well, that's not gonna happen" yea I bet haha
enjoying the heat this summer, Middle Tennessee is breaking records on heat this week
Great video! Liked the the deers in the video!! It just shows that animals are "happy" about shooting, and don`t care, realy , as long it dosn`t harm them, and they know🙂Greetings from Norway!
The deer flinched less than he did. Lol.
Holy grail of the old west, that's a awesome collection!
That would be my choice as well. Hey, I have the colt 1873 colt. It was made by colt later and I have it. Hey , I also have the colt cowboy single action colt too.
3:32 I think you mean "diffi-colt"
the limited edition colt is just amazing man, would pick it over all the others every day
I'm about a week out from my gunsmith finishing my ruger blackhawk. Putting a square trigger guard on it after gold cerakote on the hammer and grip frame.
My first and only Colt SAA, purchased earlier this year, is a … 2nd Gen, 1969, 5 1/2” barrel, .45. It does not have stag grips - yet.
They are all regular colt single-action revolvers. Like if you think of the iconic cowboy gun in every movie you think of the Colt single-action army.
And then there's just a mf Schofield that snuck his way in there 💀💀💀
That beautiful Long Branch Colt would have been my choice, for sure. Great collection!
That's a great problem to have . Hats off Hickok.
I see a Schofield at first glance but surprised to not see any Remington conversions or anything
Thanks for sharing your collection, beautiful peacemakers. We can’t take anything with us when we die, but fun to see/have while we’re alive!
Such a masterpiece. Thanks for the content pal, you really made my day a little better.
Your choice is the same one I chose before I played the video. Bravo! Excellent choice.
