Thanks kneelandpray. This is a fantastic concert. Maybe my favorite so far. (Space Truckin sounds unsure of itself, but the rest is great). And Coverdale sings a verse from Child In Time! Wow.
This is a very good MKIII show. Maybe better than the Paris show. Maybe. It alone would have made a great live album. Blackmore and Lord are on fire. The vocals sound great. Paice is Paice. You Fool No One is the benchmark. If it sounds great, it’s a great show. And it’s on fire here. Just listen to Blackmore! I liked the Stormbringer tour. This lineup was coming together. The shows were intense, loud and heavy. These shows rival Made in Japan era MKII IMO. Blackmore sounded his best on this tour. Coverdale was much better than the year before. Hughes and Paice were really tight. Lord was Lord. The vocals were great. Love it.
Mate, I like mk2 the most, but somehow it got saturated, they played the same repertoire for almost 2 years, there was no progress (Gillan stated that as the reason he left DP). Mk3 is the best possible thing that could have happened for the band. These two crazy people (David and Glenn) brought new breath and quality, and took the band to new heights. Maybe they are a little better quality than mk2. I'm a little sad that Glenn Hughes never sang Child in Time or Lazy, but they had their own ideas and I respect that.
@@bosnianpoprock the main writers for MK2 were Gillan and Glover. Frankly, they were and still are one-dimensional. To me, all the post Blackmore stuff sounds the same. You are correct. Without Blackmore's riffs, they continue the staleness of 1973. The new direction wanted by Blackmore could have never happened with MK2 because Glover can't sing and Gillan couldn't adapt to the bluesy stuff. Now imagine David and Glenn doing "Place in Line".
@@bosnianpoprockI totally agree. I loved MKII when I was kid. But once I heard Burn I was blown away. I saw the Burn tour and it was fantastic. MKII has become a bit stale over the years. It’s like their writing was limited, although songs like Pictures of Home showed what they could do. I really wish Hughes would have sung Lazy and Strange Kind Woman live. But I also really liked that they opened the show with the first three songs from Burn. I thought that was quite a strong statement. I think a third album by MKIII would have been fantastic, probably being a heavier album, or at least more like Burn. Stormbringer has aged well. There are some very good songs on that album. The thin production hurt that music though.
@@salvanncentralYou make great points. Place in Line and Our Lady with Coverdale and Hughes would have been amazing. Hughes was a better songwriter than Glover. Well, he was more versed. Glover was one dimensional. He did a lot of Black Night kinda riffs. Hughes had written some great stuff with Trapeze. But along with Blackmore, Hughes and Coverdale had some great talent to play their music. And the same for Blackmore’s writing. Hughes added sone fire to the performances and his influence on Paice was huge. If you compare Paice’s drumming on, say, Fireball (a great album), to Come Taste the Band (another great album), you hear a major progression.
Pozdrawiam
I was there. It was a very good show! Swedish artist John Holm with band was support act, also very good. 😊
MKIII kicked serious a$$. Full out blistering power.
certainely the best line up
Too fucking right! 💜

my favourite PURPLE....
it's a pity they DIDN'T REFORM when Gillan was kicked out in the 90's....
instead we got deep rainbow....
And again in 2007 when Jon Lord wanted a MKIII reunion. Blackmore became interested after Lord’s passing unfortunately.
In those last weeks with Ritchie they were so incredibly powerful. I'm surprised the stage did not ignite.
Wow. Check out Jon’s Hava Nagila before You Fool No One. That’s by far the best version of that I’ve heard yet.
Mr. Richard Hugh Blackmore
Mr. Jonathan Douglas Lord
Mr. Ian Anderson Paice
Mr. David Coverdale
Mr. Glenn Hugles
Mk 3 🎹🥁🎤🎸⚡️🔥💪👊😎🤘
Highway Star at nuclear speed. MKIII best line up.
While listening to "You Fool No One" you can hear that "Still I'm Sad" was recorded just a few weeks before this gig.
I suppose, bcz of the awful sound recording, this is a pirate record, record undercover a tent! 😅
Coverdale singing verses from Child In Time wow!!!
Agree
West Ham won the cup 75
It's not interesting without a video.( Nothing personal) .
😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
Burn was a great album, but after that it all fell apart.
Sorry man, but by any sane definition mk 2 is the best.

I love bootlegs but this sounds very bad !
........bootlegs would be awful if they sounded good tho !
Not that bad. Seriously
The recorded sound is bad. It's a shame.
